Jean tugged his shirt. “Terence, I really love you, but what you said just now really hurt me. All I want is to marry you and be with you forever. Please don’t be mad at me.”

Terence shook off her hand and said, “I think it’s better if we calm down.”

After saying that, Terence left, leaving Jean in astonishment.

Jean stared at his back. She was on the verge of breaking down. Her plan failed for the second time around. She couldn’t accept it.

Terence’s mind was in a mess. He didn’t show it. He felt stupid to fall for the same trick twice.

No wonder Jean invited him to dinner last night. How could he not know that it was a trap?
