Lovely Awakenings - Chapter 3 Nora
Diamond crisscrosses her legs as the wind tussles her silvery hair. Kara sat across from her as we waited for Helena to finish binding Lucian’s arms to the sides of the medical table. He moaned as if in pain as I came near him and stroked his cheek. The shadows under his eyes seemed alive as I dug my finger into his cheekbone.
“How does it feel to have no control to be bound and at the mercy of others,” I ask as I pull out my bloodied finger and lower my face close to his ear as if to whisper only to laugh at him like I’ve never done before.
“Nora,” Kara says clearly uncomfortable with the whole thing.
“Please Kara,” Diamond says as she stands and walks towards the window looks out and shuts the window. “Now, can we get this over with? I’m supposed to be playing mongrel and going to prom,” she says with a roll of her lovely crystal-blue eyes.
“Yes, yes, do hurry,” Lucian murmurs and Diamond slaps him then tears out his heart.
“Didn’t think you had one,” she says as she tosses it into a glass jar and seals it in. “Now, not only will we hear it speedup and slowdown but we’ll see it too,” she adds as she licks her lips and flashes her canines at him.
“She really is your daughter,” Lucian spits.
“You mean our daughter, because whether you like it or not, she-is-ours,” I say and lean forward to kiss his gory lips. “Shall we begin?” I ask as I lift a paring-knife and run it across his bare abdomen.
