Loving The Devil - Chapter 11
When Chloe got out of the car, she stopped in amazement. Brian’s house was huge; the outside was lit up like a Christmas morning, the beige trimmings bounced off the white walls. The driveway glistened like morning snow. It had bright green grass wrapping around each side. In the center was a huge fountain made of marble. She was admiring the features of the house when Brian walked up next to her. “Everything ok? You have been standing here for about 5 min now?” “Oh…Um…Ummm…your house is huge. Please don’t tell me you are a drug lord. God, please don’t let me regret my decision.” Chloe grows worried realizing she hadn’t asked what Brian did. She thought it wouldn’t matter but looking at his house; now she wished she would have asked.
Brian laughed at her reaction. Seeing this laughter come from Brian, Ryan stood astounded by this reaction. He had never seen this man laugh before. However it seemed this woman had changed him, he now has feelings. Amid the laughter, Brian managed to speak. “Angel, I can promise you I have no illegal dealings. Everything I have I worked hard to obtain. I am a businessman. I’ve obtained several large corporations and work hard to revive them. I do hope this answer is enough.” Walking forward with Brian leading Chloe, She took a deep breath of relief. “I apologize for the comment it was out of line. I was just in disbelief. I’ll only stay for a few days and then head back home. I still have duties to tend to. I can’t just hide out forever.” Brian lead her into the house. Stepping inside, it looked like a palace a large staircase greeted them with a staff of maids and butlers lined along each railing. Everyone completely poised and greeted Brian. “Welcome home master.” Then shifted their attention to Chloe. Surprised to see Brian with a female, they gave her a look mistrust. Each was wondering what tricks she pulled to gain Brian’s favor, but none expressed their concern. “This is Miss Chloe Wilson. She will be staying for a little while. While she stays, all of you are to treat her properly and are not to gossip about why she is here. Any concerns you may have you can address to Ryan or me. That is all; you may now go back to work.” Chloe admired Brian; he was clear and ȧssertive. When he spoke everyone listened and no one dares break his rules, or they should be thoroughly punished. “Follow me I’ll show you to your bedroom. This will forever be your room if you decide to stay longer or come back.” Chloe followed him like a lost puppy. Speechless as she walked she viewed the paintings and photos on the walls. They all portrayed a happy family of three. On the third floor, he stopped at the third door on the right. He smiled at her bewildered face.”This is your room.” After he opened the door, Chloe was stunned at its beauty and couldn’t find the strength to move. He grabbed her hand and led her in. Upon walking in, she noticed the large bed with a white majesty style canopy. Beside the bed, there was a small nightstand with a reading lamp. After she turned around, she noticed a door to her right and door to her left. “Where do these doors go?” She opened the one to her right to a deep, walk-in closet. It must have been about 12 foot long and 24 foot wide. She closed the door as fast as she opened it. “It’s as big as a bedroom. What is behind this door? As she opened it Brian spoke. “It is a bathroom. I should mention it is a shared bathroom. Be sure to lock the other door when you are in here. You will want to avoid any mishaps.” She walked in taking notice of how large it was. Across from her door was the other door he spoke of. To her right was a walk in shower. She noticed in the shower was a ceiling mounted luxurious rainfall showerhead. Next to the shower was a floor to ceiling mirror. To her left, she noticed on the far wall there was an extra wide Marcy Hammered copper double-slipper tub. She has always wanted to have this tub. She just felt 4,000 u.s.d. was too much for a tub. Seeing it now she wished she would have gone for it. A few feet from the tub was the toilet and across was the sink with the traditional medicine cabinet above it. “Wow. This bathroom is every girl’s dream. It’s even painted in a ŀustful red. Plant some candles and some white rose petals, and it could have a romantic vibe.” Before realizing what she had said and whom she was speaking to, Brian took advantage. “Good to know. So you like romance?” “What girl doesn’t like to be romanced?” Realizing what she had just said she grew highly embarrassed. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have said anything like that. I was just thinking aloud. I don’t want you to have the wrong impression of me. I’m not a floozy.” Brian chuckled at her remark and choice of words. “That could never happen.” “So who’s room is over there?” “That would be my room.”
