Loving You is My Most Terrible Bitter - C62
Unbelievable, unreasonable.
Looking at Zhou Zijie’s back as she arrogantly left, these two words continuously echoed in my head.
“Hurry up and leave.” I didn’t want to stay a second longer. “Go to the apartment, get something, and then drive me home.”
“Alright.” The driver left obediently.
I felt like I had to find someone to release it. It was Lu Chen. I wasn’t just having a fight with him. I suddenly remembered that he was hiding something from me. When I asked him about the bruises on the corner of Zhou Zijing’s mouth, he now recalled that his reaction back then was obviously due to him knowing that Lu Yulin’s family had committed violence.
As soon as the call connected, someone hung up. Only after a long while did he reply with a text message, “Meeting”.
He called back at the apartment, and I hung up on him whenever he called. I’m just angry, and there’s no reason to be angry.
Only after fighting more than ten times did he give up. Then the driver’s phone rang and I heard him say hello and he handed it over.
“If you dare to die again, you know the consequences.” Lu Chen’s threatening voice came through the phone.
I took the phone reluctantly. “Hello.”
Lu Chen looked unhappy. “What happened?” I told you, no matter what happens, you can’t ignore people, especially if I can’t see you. ”
“Today, I went to the Lu residence and met Lu Yulin and Zhou ZiJie.”
“And then?”
“Lu Yulin is fighting Zhou ZiJie. Do you know what they are doing?”
Lu Chen paused for a moment before replying, “I know.”
“Do you know that you don’t care? And he’s not telling me yet. ”
“Mu Mu, I don’t care about the reason.”
“What reason do you have for allowing a man to hit his wife? Or do you think that doing this is the right decision? Do all the men in your Lu family beat up their wives? ”
“Don’t talk to me like that. I’ll explain it to you when I get back. Don’t go back, I’ll be back before the festival. ”
With that, he hung up the phone. If it was me, I would definitely throw it away.
Domineering, dictatorial, hateful!
I hammered the dolls he bought in the apartment, unaware that my first real fight with Lu Chen was over Zhou Zijie and Lu Yulin, the two people I hated the most.
I spent the next week cursing Lu Chen. Since there was a conflict, it was better if the two of them explained it to each other face to face. It only made me angrier and angrier to drag it on like this. Yesterday he sent a message saying he was coming back, just for the next two days.
I’d like to see what justification he has.
The doorbell rang, and I thought it was Lu Chen who was going to open the door for him. Only when he reached the door did he realize that something was wrong. He knew the password, so why would he ring the doorbell?
I turned on the intercom system, and the screen showed Lu Yulin. Lu Chen was his uncle, so it wasn’t a problem for him to know where he lived. However, the question was, what was he here for?
He stared at the camera, giving me a terrible feeling of being face-to-face with him. “Mu Mu, I know you can hear me. Open the door, I mean no harm. ”
“I won’t open the door, I have some doubts about you. You can leave, or come back when Lu Chen is back.”
“Alright, then can we chat on WeChat? I really have something to say to you. ”
“No, I don’t want Lu Chen to misunderstand.” Originally, they were quarreling, and knew that Lu Yulin and I were in contact privately. Who knew if he would go crazy again, “If you have something to say, you can say it here, I can hear it.”
Lu Yulin stared at the camera, sincere and serious, “I want to explain what you saw before.”
“There’s nothing to explain. It’s the matter between you two. It has nothing to do with me. Even if you want to acknowledge me as your aunt, I can’t do anything about it. ”
I don’t believe there is any reason in the world for me to approve of domestic violence. A man, and a man who was born in a wealthy family and had received an outstanding education, how could he possibly hit a woman who was ten times weaker than him. He had admitted that he loved this woman and would treat her well.
“I was helpless when being controlled by someone. What you see is not necessarily me, nor is the uncle you see is not necessarily a real uncle. This world is black and white at the same time.” Mu Mu, if it wasn’t for uncle, I would have married you. I swear to God, if it were you, I wouldn’t even touch a single one of your fingers. ”
What did he mean by those words? What did he mean by being controlled by someone? What do you mean Lu Chen is not the real Lu Chen? What do you mean if it wasn’t Lu Chen, he would have married me?
What I couldn’t stand was the mystery. The words kept echoing in my head, and I couldn’t come up with any answers. I couldn’t find any.
I sat on the sofa and kept thinking until Lu Chen came back. When he came in and saw me, he looked nervous and reached for the warmth of my forehead. I didn’t want him to touch me. I wanted to push his hand away, but I didn’t even have the strength to lift it. He moved his mouth and his throat felt like it was a fake. He could not utter even half a word.
“Mu Mu, what’s wrong with you? Don’t scare me.” Lu Chen slapped my face in panic. I tried to tell him that I was fine, but I couldn’t make a sound.
Lu Chen carried me into the room and carefully placed me on the bed, frowning as he didn’t know what to do. I don’t know how long I sat there on the couch, but I felt like I’d lost consciousness for a while and wanted to drink.
I touched his hand with my little finger, and Lu Chen looked at me expectantly. I struggled to open my mouth to say the word water, but there was still no sound. However, he had always understood me, so he quickly brought me a cup of water and fed me spoonfuls after spoonfuls. The water ran down my throat and awakened my insides.
After drinking half a cup of water, I shook my head, indicating that he had had enough. He tried calling him, but no sound came out.
Seeing my movements, Lu Chen grabbed my hand and said, “Hey, don’t worry, I’ll call the doctor.”
I nodded. There was nothing else I could do.
He got up and went out. I don’t know what he said to the doctor, but the doctor came in a very short time and I wondered if he lived next door.
He first came up with a set of diagnoses that were very unique to Western medicine. Then he actually raised his hand to check my pulse.
I couldn’t open my mouth to ask a question, and Lu Chen didn’t know anything. I wondered if he would ever succeed in seeing what was wrong with me.
“To put it in Chinese medicine, your wife is overthinking and worrying about something. Western medicine is compulsive thinking. Madam, I’m afraid you have some doubts that you’re unable to resolve. I’ll prescribe some Chinese medicine to help her adjust her spleen and stomach, and eat it with Doxepin. ” The doctor looked around the room and said considerately, “Since you don’t have anything else to do, I might as well buy some medicine for you.”
I guess he was right, but I just sat on the sofa for a while.
