Loving You Too Much - Chapter 406
The sky was bright outside as Li Qin Yao took her daughter to play in the garden. After spending time with her great-grandfather the last time, Zhang Li Xue was suddenly interested in gardening and had the old man had given her some flower seed for her to take home.
These days, Zhang Li Xue would ask her mother to accompany her outside to look at the plant. Seeing how the seed had turned into a sprout fascinated the little girl. At the thought of how that sprout will soon grow bigger and white flowers were going to appear, Zhang Li Xue was excited.
With the small straw hat on top of her head and a gardening can, Zhang Li Xue ran around the garden to help to water the plant. When she was done, her face was full of perspiration and her hands were dirty after helping her mother to loosen the soils.
Li Qin Yao stood up and frowned at the sudden dizziness. However, the feeling disappeared in seconds. She looked up the sky and saw that the sun was too bright. She then led her daughter to wash her hand once they had finished with their activity.
The mother and daughter walked into the house and saw the father stood at the window with his phone pressed to his ear.
Li Qin Yao instructed the Auntie to help her daughter to clean up before she walked over to her husband. She could see the frown on his face and could guess that something was troubling him.
She sat down on the sofa and waited until the phone call ended. When Zhang Yu Han turned around after he hung up the phone, there was a helpless look in his face.
“What’s wrong?” Li Qin Yao asked as she stood up.
“Qi Ming Wei asked if I could accompany him on a business trip,” Zhang Yu Han explained. “Qi Zheng was supposed to go with him, but he had emergency surgery and they didn’t know when he’s going to finish.”
Li Qin Yao touched his arms and lifted her head to look at him. “When are you leaving?”
“This afternoon,” Zhang Yu Han answered helplessly. “It will take around three to five days.”
She lowered her head and sighed when she looked at him again. Though Zhang Yu Han would often go on a business trip, Li Qin Yao would worry whenever her husband had to follow Qi Ming Wei on a business trip.
Previously, Zhang Yu Han had explained to her of the Qi family business and Li Qin Yao knew that Qi Ming Wei business was usually dangerous. However, the Qi family was also a part of their family and they would always look after each other.
“It won’t be anything dangerous,” Zhang Yu Han said. He knew what was on her mind upon looking at his wife’s expression. “I’m going to accompany him to a banquet and that’s it.”
Li Qin Yao gave him a slow nod. “Just… don’t drink too much.”
Zhang Yu Han sighed and kissed her on top of her head. “Alright.”
…
After Zhang Yu Han left for the airport, Li Qin Yao took her daughter and drove over to B City.
She deliberately drove over to the Tourism City and a smile appeared on her face as she watched the tall buildings in front of her. From her location, Li Qin Yao was able to see the big Ferris Wheel.
“Mommy, are we going to the amusement park?” Zhang Li Xue asked with an excited look on her face. She had been to this amusement park a few times and knew from her surroundings that they were near her favorite place.
“No. Daddy’s not here. Let’s wait until daddy returned and we’ll go together, alright?”
“Oh.” The little girl’s mouth pouted slightly and she looked out the window with a longing look.
Soon, Li Qin Yao parked her car and took her daughter to the cafe. As the mother and daughter walked inside, Auntie Yu and Yin Mei Xuan quickly surrounded them.
“Li Xue!” The two women surrounded the little girl.
“Wow! Our little princess is getting prettier,” Yin Mei Xuan said. She crouched down, leaned forward, and pointed to her cheek. “Come and give auntie a kiss.”
Zhang Li Xue obediently leaned forward to kiss the woman on her cheek. “Auntie Yin, you smell sweet like cakes.”
Yin Mei Xuan laughed. “Would you want to help me with decorating cakes? You can help and put the strawberries.”
The little girl turned to her mother to ask for her opinion.
“Go on,” Li Qin Yao nodded. “Don’t forget to wash your hand and don’t sneak and eat too many sweets, alright?”
“Mommy, I won’t.” Zhang Li Xue looked at her mother with her eyes wide.
“Alright. I know. My Li Xue is the most obedient one.” Li Qin Yao kissed her on the cheek and let her follow her friends into the kitchen. Then, she turned around and started looking around the cafe.
Nowadays, she will only need to come over the place to check on everything once a week. With the opening of Tourism City, the cafe’s sales have increased and business has been good.
Li Qin Yao stared at the account books in her hand and looked up upon noticing a cup of coffee suddenly appeared on the table. She watched Yin Mei Xuan slid into the seat in front of her and smiled.
“Li Xue is taking a cooking lesson from Auntie Yu,” Yin Mei Xuan said.
“Cooking?”
Her friend laughed. “You will know soon.”
A minute later, the little princess appeared from the kitchen with a plate in her hand. She walked over to her mother with her short leg with Auntie Yu trailing behind her.
“Mommy, I made a sandwich for you.” Zhang Li Xue lifted her hand high to push the plate on the table, and her mother quickly supported her. The little girl then turned to her mother with her bright eyes. “I helped to mashed the eggs and put everything together. Mommy, try it. Is it delicious?”
Li Qin Yao stared at the plate of the egg sandwich and turned to her daughter. “Li Xue is good. My baby knows how to make a sandwich now.” She rained her kisses on the girl’s chubby cheek and soon, the little girl started to laugh.
Turning around, the little girl was still staring at her with an expectant gaze.
Li Qin Yao took a deep breath and took a bite at the sandwich. After swallowing it down her throat, she turned to her daughter and kissed her daughter’s cheek again. “En. It’s delicious. My baby is so talented.”
Seconds later, she stood up from her seat. “Mei Xuan, help me look after Li Xue for a while.” Once she finished her words, Li Qin Yao dashed to the bathroom.
