Loving You Too Much - Chapter 412
Another day has passed but the person lying on the bed continued to sleep. No matter how much Li Qin Yao had talked to him and asked him to wake up soon, Zhang Yu Han remained unresponsive.
Li Qin Yao had asked Qi Zheng why did Zhang Yu Han remained sleeping, but he could only tell her that every patient would regain their consciousness at a different speed. Sometimes, it may take hours. In other cases, it would take a few days or weeks before the patient would wake up.
Of course, she was aware that there were certain cases where it would take months or years. There were also cases where the patient turned into a vegetative state for a long time, and there were also cases where the patient would die.
But Qi Zheng did not mention to her about any of these. Previously, Doctor Qiao had mentioned that she cannot be too sad or anxious. He did not want her to stress as she was now in her first trimester. If something happened to her or her baby, wouldn’t Zhang Yu Han kill him when he woke up?
Everyone was positive that Zhang Yu Han would wake up soon. Li Qin Yao had refused to believe that her husband would continue to sleep for a long time and will never wake up. The thought was just too absurd. It was something that she could not imagine would happen.
As Zhang Yu Han was now moved into a ward, Li Qin Yao would often accompany her husband in his room.
Doctor Qiao only reminded her that she had to rest and Li Qin Yao decided to take a rest in Zhang Yu Han’s room. As long as she did not move around too much, it would be the same even if she stayed with her husband, right? Anyway, his room was big enough for them to stay together. At least, she would be able to see him all the time
In the morning, Zhang Yu Ying and Wei Jun Hao had come over to the hospital with a flask of hot soup.
Li Qin Yao was pregnant and she will have to eat something for her and the baby in her stomach. Even if she had no appetite and would vomit after a few bites, Li Qin Yao had forced herself to eat. Now that her husband was still in bed, she had to eat and get her energy. Or else, she would not be able to look after her husband.
Zhang Yu Ying shifted her gaze from her sister-in-law to her brother. As she continued to watch the couple, Zhang Yu Ying found that she was unable to suppress her heartache.
In the end, she retreated silently from the room and sat at the corner of the hospital to cry.
“Yu Ying,” Wei Jun Hao frowned as he watched his wife crouching down on the floor. She was hugging her knees to her ċhėst as she continued to cry silently. He crouched beside her and pulled her into his embrace.
The girl then buried her face on his shoulder and continued to cry silently.
“Your brother… he will wake up soon.” Wei Jun Hao said. “You know how he is. He’s a fighter. He is someone who won’t give up easily. He won’t leave his wife and kids. We have to have faith that he will wake up soon.”
“I know. But they are the most loving couple I know and I cannot continue to watch them like this. Wei Jun Hao, I’m very sad.” Zhang Yu Ying continued to vent on Wei Jun Hao’s shoulder for a while longer before she headed over to the restroom to freshen up.
Zhang Li Xue buried her face in her mother’s ċhėst and her arms linked to her mother’s neck tightly as if refusing to let go. Liu Hui Lan had to remind the little girl to be gentler to her mother as Li Qin Yao was currently unwell.
“Mommy,” Zhang Li Xue sobbed. “I missed you so much. I want to stay here with you, alright?”
From the day her parents were hospitalized, Zhang Li Xue has been under her grandmother, Xu Yilan’s care. It has been days since she last saw her mother and it was too unbearable to be apart from her mother this long.
“I’ll be very obedient and listen to you,” Zhang Li Xue continued when her mother did not say a word. “Don’t leave me alright?”
Li Qin Yao held her daughter tightly. She patted at her daughter’s back and rained her kisses on the little girl’s face. She sniffed at her daughter’s familiar scent and felt more at ease as she was able to hold her tight. “Alright. Li Xue can stay here and accompany mommy and daddy.”
“Qin Yao,” Liu Hui Lan hesitated. “I don’t think—”
“It’s fine,” Zhang Xi spoke before his wife could finish. He looked at the little girl and spoke to her, “Li Xue, you can only stay for a few hours. But you have to go back with grandma and grandpa when the sky turned dark, alright?”
“I cannot stay with mommy and daddy?” Zhang Li Xue pouted.
“Mommy and daddy will need to rest and sleep when the sky turned dark,” Zhang Xi explained. “When they have enough rest, they will recover faster and the doctor will allow them to leave the hospital and they can return home with you.”
Zhang Li Xue stared at her grandfather for a few seconds before she nodded to agree. “I want mommy and daddy to get well soon and leave the hospital.” She turned to her mother and spoke, “I will go back with grandma and grandpa later. Mommy, you have to get well soon and accompany me to play later, alright?”
A small smile curled on her lips upon hearing her words. “Alright.”
Zhang Li Xue turned to hug her mother again. After a few seconds, she pulled away and looked at her father who was lying on the hospital bed. “Mommy, why is daddy still asleep?” She whispered.
“Daddy is unwell,” Li Qin Yao said. “He’s sleeping so that he will recover faster.”
“Oh,” Zhang Li Xue nodded. She continued to look at her father and her gaze stopped at the machine next to him. The little girl did not know what was going on with her father, but she knew that she did not like watching her father lying on the bed. “Mommy, when will he wake up?”
Li Qin Yao swallowed as she was unable to answer her daughter’s question. She too would like to know when will he wake up.
“Let’s continue to talk to your daddy and ask him to wake up soon, alright?” Li Qin Yao said. “Maybe if he heard us, he will recover faster and open his eyes.”
Zhang Li Xue stared at her father for a while. He held the hem of his blanket and spoke, “Daddy, you have to wake up soon and accompany me. You said you were going to teach me to play basketball.”
The ȧduŀts in the room soon looked away as they were unable to watch this scene. The little girl’s soft voice was piercing at their hearts.
The little girl turned to her mother again. “Mommy, can I give a kiss to daddy?”
He immediately understood Li Qin Yao’s gaze and walked over. “Li Xue. Come. Let me hold you up.”
Zhang Li Xue extended her arms and shifted from her mother’s embrace into her uncle’s. Soon, Wei Jun Hao held her and brought her over to her father. The little girl stared at her father’s sleeping face and frowned as she noticed her father’s bandaged hand.
Wei Jun Hao lowered the little girl and let her plant a kiss on her father’s cheek.
“Daddy,” Zhang Li Xue whispered, but her voice could be heard by everyone in the room. “You have to wake up soon. I won’t fight you over mommy, alright?” She kissed him again and spoke, “Daddy, I love you.”
