Loving You Too Much - Chapter 427
Because Zhang Yu Han and his friends loved basketball too much, his grandfather, Zhang Jing had decided to build a basketball court in his backyard. In this way, his grandson and his friends would be able to come over and practice whenever they wanted.
Once the court construction was done, Zhang Yu Han was naturally the happiest. However, the same thing could not be said to his friends.
With the existence of this basketball court, Zhang Yu Han would ask his friends and teammates to come over to the residence more often so that they would be able to practice more.
In the beginning, his friends and teammates were very happy that they were able to come over to Zhang’s residence and hang around. However, no one expected that with the basketball court, their captain would suddenly turn into a maniac!
In the beginning, everyone was pumped up to work hard in their team. They heard that girls liked boys who played basketball and of course, one of the reasons they followed Zhang Yu Han to join the basketball club was that, they wanted to find a girlfriend.
But with the way Zhang Yu Han made them practice, where would they have time for a girlfriend?
Anyway, whenever a girl started approaching them, this maniac captain will shoo them away and reminded everyone that their school forbade their students in a relationship.
Afterward, it seemed that the girls had made up their mind and agreed that they can watch the boys, but no one was allowed to approach them with impure minds.
Of course, the boys were frustrated upon hearing this news. However, it was too late for them to quit. They have been playing basketball for years together and everyone was determined to stay with the team until the end.
Wei Jun Hao had lost his parents ever since he was a little boy. He lived with her maternal auntie, but because she was always busy, Wei Jun Hao would always hang out at the Zhang’s residence.
Anyway, the Zhang family and his aunt, Wang Xin Lian, were neighbors and Zhang Yu Han’s mother did not mind having Wei Jun Hao around. Whenever his aunt had to work overtime, Wei Jun Hao would often come over and stayed until dinner. Eating alone was too lonely and Zhang Yu Han’s mother happened to be an excellent cook.
Because of this, Wei Jun Hao was the one who would spend most of his time accompanying Zhang Yu Han in his basketball practice.
Sometimes, Wei Jun Hao would be envious that Su Ming Yuan could tell Zhang Yu Han that he was not able to come out to join the additional practice because his mother did not allow him to come out.
Even if he wanted to avoid this strenuous practice like the others, he could not come out with any excuse!
In the evening, most of his teammates had found their excuse and leave this additional practice in the Zhang’s residence, leaving Wei Jun Hao alone to accompany his friend with his basketball practice.
After playing one-on-one games for half an hour, Wei Jun Hao laid down on the court as he caught up his breath. It might be his imagination, but recently, Wei Jun Hao had noticed that something was wrong with his friend.
Though he always knew that Zhang Yu Han could be a maniac in the basketball court, their training was never this intense. Recently, Wei Jun Hao thought that this maniac has turned into a basketball demon.
Whenever he was not studying, Zhang Yu Han would always ask him to come to the residence to practice basketball.
It all began after they have returned from the basketball tournament.
Although their team had won the first place, it seemed that Zhang Yu Han was not very happy. Wei Jun Hao seemed to remember that his friend was looking for someone after the tournament ended. When he returned to their side, Zhang Yu Han’s expression was no longer as happy as it was before.
He didn’t know what happened, but after that tournament, Zhang Yu Han seemed to be obsessed.
As he was thinking about the change in his friend, Zhang Yu Han’s face suddenly appeared before him, blocking the light.
“Wei Jun Hao, stand up. You know it’s not good to lay down after games,” Zhang Yu Han reminded him.
“Hold on,” Wei Jun Hao panted. “I’m dying. I cannot stand up anymore. My legs have turned to jelly.”
Zhang Yu Han frowned upon hearing his words. “What do you mean? We still have half an hour left to practice.”
Hearing his words, Wei Jun Hao wanted to shed some tears. “No. Captain, just spare me alright. I cannot take this anymore.” He waved his hand around.
Although Wei Jun Hao was too tired to move, he still sat up and let Zhang Yu Han pulled him up.
“Zhang Yu Han,” he called breathlessly. “What’s wrong? We already won that last tournament. Aren’t we supposed to sit back and relax? Why are you so determined to practice like this?”
Zhang Yu Han pressed his lips into a thin line.
Of course, he couldn’t tell Wei Jun Hao that he wanted their team to be the best and win the next tournament so that he can meet that girl again. This was the first time that he had liked someone. Zhang Yu Han was too embarrassed to tell his friends about this and he did not know what to do.
Zhang Yu Han had asked someone to secretly investigate this matter, but they were unable to find out anything.
It felt as if this girl was nothing but his illusion.
However, Zhang Yu Han knew that what he saw that day was not his illusion. He knew that this girl was real and he was unable to forget the moment the girl had turned around and met his gaze.
They were far away, but Zhang Yu Han was very sure that she saw him. Or else, why would she run away?
Because he was left with no other way to find this girl, Zhang Yu Han came out with this idea: to join the next tournament and win! Perhaps this girl will appear again at the tournament and he will have the chance to see her again.
This time, Zhang Yu Han was determined not to miss this girl again.
“This is the last year for us to enter the competition,” Zhang Yu Han said. “Next year, we won’t be allowed to join. Of course, I wanted to do the best.”
Wei Jun Hao let out a long sigh. Next year, everyone will be busy with examinations and will have no time to join the club activities. For them, this would be the last time to play together. Of course, Wei Jun Hao understood why Zhang Yu Han was so serious. He wanted to win. Every one of them wanted to win.
“Brother, catch!”
Wei Jun Hao turned around in time to see that a bottle of drinking water flew towards him. He was unprepared and the bottle hit him on the shoulder before it fell on the floor and rolled. Wei Jun Hao turned around and saw Zhang Yu Ying’s laughing at him.
“Zhang Yu Ying! Your throwing skills are still the worst. Are you sure you and your brother are related?” Wei Jun Hao said. He bent down to pick up the bottle and soon, Zhang Yu Ying’s painful punch landed on the same spot as the bottle, causing him to groan in pain.
“My brother caught the bottle with ease. Don’t blame me if you’re the one who suċkėd at catching.” Zhang Yu Ying clicked her tongue as she looked at Wei Jun Hao from head to toes as if judging her.
She was nice enough to bring some drinking water for them, but instead of thanking her, this annoying person had the audacity to criticize her throwing skill!
“Alright, stop bickering. You guys are giving me a headache,” Zhang Yu Han said. He drank half of the bottle and looked at the two who would always quarrel whenever they met.
His gaze finally stopped at his friend and a crease appeared at the space between his brow.
Zhang Yu Han had watched the two’s interactions for a while and had some thoughts about them. But at this time, he did not want to say it out loud.
Judging from the way Wei Jun Hao had acted, it doesn’t seem that he had noticed the way he would act differently whenever Zhang Yu Ying was around. Since Wei Jun Hao did not notice these things, Zhang Yu Han decided that he should not meddle in and say anything.
“W-why are you looking at me like that?” Wei Jun Hao asked. Suddenly, he was uncomfortable with Zhang Yu Han’s gaze.
“Nothing.” Zhang Yu Han quickly retracted his gaze and glanced at his sister with a strange gaze. “Alright, let’s go in and rest. My mom should finish cooking dinner soon.” After saying that, he headed back into the house.
