Loving You Too Much - Chapter 428
For the following few weeks, Wei Jun Hao would continue to accompany his friend in his basketball practice. He did not want to return to his aunt’s house and stay alone and thought that staying with Zhang’s family for a while was not a bad decision.
Anyway, he would always have someone to talk to if he stayed. Plus, the food was good and the Zhang family members treated him very well.
That evening, everyone else had come up with an excuse not to come and joined the additional practice at Zhang’s residence. Because of that, Wei Jun Hao was tortured by his friend for an on-on-one game for more than an hour.
In the end, Wei Jun Hao was too tired that he was unable to move. He stared at the ball with an intense gaze as if he had a deep grudge with the ball.
They were done with the basketball tournament last year and they were about to graduate from high school in a few months, but this basketball maniac would not stop asking him to play basketball.
It was not as if Wei Jun Hao was unable to reject Zhang Yu Han. However, once he saw that his friend would practice by himself, he would often have a change of heart. He was kind enough to accompany Zhang Yu Han for a round or two, but this person would not stop bullying him.
He had played against Zhang Yu Han for many times, but he was unable to win once! Of course, he was bitter about it!
Wei Jun Hao had both hands on his knees as he bent his body forward to catch his breath. At this time, he wondered why on earth would he always agree to have a one-on-one match against Zhang Yu Han when he knew that he would not be able to win against this maniac.
“Brother, stop bullying Brother Jun Hao,” Zhang Yu Ying’s voice was heard.
Wei Jun Hao raised his head and watched as the girl approached him with a bottle of drinking water. He took the bottle from her and chugged down until it was empty.
Zhang Yu Ying gave him a look over and clicked her tongue. Of course, she was pitying Wei Jun Hao who was sweating all over after a match with her brother. She had watched the two played against each other for years and knew that Wei Jun Hao had never won against her brother.
“Do you need another drink?” Zhang Yu Ying asked upon seeing that the bottle was now empty.
Wei Jun Hao waved his hand. “No need. I’m fine.”
She picked the empty bottle and sighed. “You should drink slowly. What if you get sick from it? As an athlete, shouldn’t you know about these things?”
Wei Jun Hao rolled his eyes at her. “Zhang Yu Ying, you nagged too much.”
“I nagged too much?” Zhang Yu Ying pointed a finger at her nose. “Fine. I won’t care about you anymore.”
Seeing that the girl was upset, Wei Jun Hao heaved a long sigh. “Alright. Stop getting angry at me. I’m sorry. It was my fault. I should listen to you.”
Zhang Yu Han took a sip from his bottle and continued to observe the two silently. It was not as if he did not notice the change in the two’s relationship.
These days, his sister would often look after Wei Jun Hao. Although the two would continue to bicker as they always do, this bickering would end soon and Wei Jun Hao was always the first to give in to his sister.
Zhang Yu Han was able to see the way the two would look at each other but it seemed that the two had not noticed the change in them.
As Wei Jun Hao’s friend and Zhang Yu Ying’s brother, of course, Zhang Yu Han did not want to meddle in. He decided to stay at the sidelines and watch how the two’s relationship would develop later on.
“Wei Jun Hao, I have something to tell you,” Zhang Yu Han said. He crushed the empty bottle in his hand and threw it into the bin. Of course with his skill, the plastic bottle went into the bin.
“What is it?” Wei Jun Hao stared at his friend and began to notice the abnormalities in his expression. Suddenly, he started to feel a bit uneasy.
Zhang Yu Han pressed his lips into a thin line. He shifted his gaze to his sister and saw that Zhang Yu Ying had guessed at what he was he was about to say. The two siblings turned to look at Wei Jun Hao with mixed feelings.
“After we graduated high school, Yu Ying and I will follow our parents and moved to C Country.”
…
Wei Jun Hao could not explain what he felt after he heard the news that his best friend was going to move to Country C and continued their study there.
He had spent most of his time at Zhang’s residence and now that the siblings were not going to be around, Wei Jun Hao was suddenly at loss. Their move to Country C was too sudden.
It was the weekend, but instead of going out with his friends, Wei Jun Hao had stayed at home, just lying in his bed lazily and he could not stop thinking of how he was going to miss the siblings.
Seeing the strange ways that her nephew was behaving, Wang Xin Lian stopped by his room to check on him. When she came to Wei Jun Hao’s room, her nephew was sprawled on the bed with his eyes staring at the ceiling. “What’s wrong with you? Feeling unwell?”
“I’m fine.”
“You are someone who didn’t know how to stay at home during the weekend,” Wang Xin Lian pointed out. “It’s strange to see you at home at a time like this.”
“I felt like lazying around today. Auntie, don’t worry about me.”
After checking that there was nothing wrong with her nephew, Wan Xin Lian decided to leave him alone after reminding him not to skip his meal.
The house was quiet after his aunt had left. Wei Jun Hao shifted his gaze towards the window and heaved a long sigh.
He could not understand his feeling, but he knew that he did not like what he felt.
The phone on his side started to chime. Wei Jun Hao grabbed his phone and saw that he got a text message from Zhang Yu Ying, asking him whether he wanted to go out with them to see a movie.
Instead of replying to her right away, Wei Jun Hao spent his time staring at the name for a long time.
A chuckle escaped him. He knew that he was going to miss his daily banter with Zhang Yu Ying once they moved away.
Miss her?
Wei Jun Hao slapped at his cheeks and then took a few deep breaths to calm down. But without knowing why, Zhang Yu Ying’s face kept on appearing on his head. As this person keep appearing in his head, Wei Jun Hao started to feel a bit strange. Suddenly, he was aware that his heart was beating loudly against his ribcage.
“Wei Jun Hao, what on earth were you thinking? You need to stop this!”
