She turned around and started descending when she felt an anxious tug at the side of trousers. She looked down to see Little Treasure looking at her teary eyed. De Xi was shocked and looked at Little Treasure in worry and concern, she immediately bent down and looked around his body for any visible wounds, when found none she looked at Little Treasure questioningly.

“Little Treasure, why are crying my baby. Are you in pain somewhere, where is it, tell Mum, I will cure it immediately” De Xi asked Little Treasure in a warm and coaxing tone. Little Treasure shook his head and said, “I’m in pain because Mum is in pain” Little Treasure said as he looked at De Xi in worry and concern with his teary eyes.

De Xi was shocked and stunned for a moment before she forced a smile upon her lips to sooth Little Treasure. ” No baby, Mum is fine. I am not in pain, why do you think so that Mum is in pain” De Xi asked in a coaxing tone as she looked at Little Treasure with a warm motherly smile. Little Treasure shook his head and looked at De Xi stubbornly.

“Don’t hide things from me Mum, I am not a small baby. I am a grown up child” Little Treasure said as he cutely puffed up his cheeks and looked at De Xi stubbornly. De Xi did not know whether to laugh or to cry, on one side she was happy that Little Treasure understood things despite his age. On other hand she was worried that Little Treasure was maturing beyond his age like her.

She was worried that, just like her Little Treasure will also be forced to mature early and lose his innocence and happy days earlier than other. She looked at Little Treasure warmly with calmness in her eyes, “Little Treasure Mum is really not in pain, you don’t need to worry about all these. Just enjoy your upcoming days peacefully without any worry” De Xi said as she smiled warmly.

Her smile held a hint of sorrow in it, which Little Treasure caught on immediately. He was sensitive to his surroundings and emotions of people around him, which enabled him to know what De Xi was hiding from him. “Mum, you are sad, I know that. M-Mum are you going to leave me and go away” Little Treasure asked, his voice trembling as tears started to fall freely from his eyes.

De Xi looked at Little Treasure in shock and panic, she then immediately recovered from it as she started to console him. “No Little Treasure, who told you this, why are thinking like that. Mum is completely fine and happy why will I leave you and go away from you” De Xi tried to reason out with Little Treasure as she coaxed him quickly.

Little Treasure stopped crying when he registered what his mother was trying to say, he looked at De Xi with his big hazel eyes full of innocence in it. De Xi nodded at him reassuringly, the latter then nodded in understanding but instantly looked at De Xi suspiciously. “Then why did you say you were leaving when I went your office today” Little Treasure asked in doubt and suspicion.

“When did you go there, Little Treasure” De Xi asked in a unsure tone, she was now doubtful about how much her son heard of her conversation. For the first time she regretted having an intelligent son who was sensitive to his surroundings and people’s emotions around him. “After school I went to find you but I could not” Little Treasure said as he looked at De Xi dejectedly.
