Luna’s Journey - Chapter 11 Big Nerves
I woke up from my nap and was in the mood for some hotpot, and luckily I found a place in town that was said to have great reviews. Leaving I saw Carl at the front desk, “Hello, Miss Wu, are you leaving for the night.” He said with a smile.
Giving him a warm smile, “No, I’ll be back soon. I’m going to try that hotpot restaurant that’s great reviews.” I told him.
He gave me another smile and wished me a great evening, leaving I saw Momo fly down and land on my shoulder. Petting her head I made my way to the downtown area, enjoying the night sky I was interrupted by a phone call.
Seeing another unknown number again today I ignored the call not wanting to be bothered and ruining my good mood. When I finally made it to the restaurant I order the special and waited for my meal. Momo was outside on the window ledge giving me a sad look. ‘Stop pouting, I’ll bring you some so you can enjoy it when we get home.’ I mentally told her.
Momo ruffled her feathers and started to brighten up, “Misstress, I want the beef! It looks so yummy and everyone who exited the building keeps saying how good it tasted.’ She told me with glee.
Smiling at Momo’s gleeful performance I left her to her fantasy, I then looked at my phone while I waited for my food. I was so deep in thought I never noticed the black Mercedes pulling in front of the building.
Inside the car, a person was glaring at the young woman inside totally unaware of everything around her. When his assistant told him that Miss Wu rejected his offer of meeting up he wanted to laugh at the lady who had a lot of nerve.
He thought he shouldn’t have to waste his time but he called her to come and meet him only to have her ignore his call. Angry he hacked her phone and got her GPS directions to this small hotpot restaurant. Looking at his assistance, “Wait here, I’ll call you if I decide to stay.” He said getting out of the car.
Walking in the restaurant he noticed many gazes upon him expect the one he came to see, she was busy staring at her phone. Mo Han stood in front of her and waited to see her reaction when she saw who came to speak.
Seeing a shadow I looked up and there was a handsome guy in a black suit was giving me a cold glare. Feeling weird I turned away from him hoping he would leave, but I was surprised when he sat down. “Hello? Who are you? Why are sitting at my table?” I asked giving him a confused look.
Still giving me a cold glare he frowned and responded, “You were meant to meet me earlier, but I heard you refused, so I came to see you.”
Understanding what this was about I started to get angry, ‘This must be the rude guy who had his assistance rudely tell me that I was summoned. How dare he track me, doesn’t this guy know how to take a hint.’ I thought with a frown.
“Since you took the time to come here and ruin my night, you might as well tell me who you are and what you want from me,” I told him getting right to the point.
Mo Han looked at this young lady and was shocked by her words, it has been a long time since someone had the nerve to stand up to him with no fear. “I happened to see you some time ago and I found you interesting. This kind of thing doesn’t happen much in my life so I decided to get to know you. I’m Mo Han.” He said while not breaking eye contact.
When I heard his name I couldn’t help but sigh inside, I made a vow to stay away from the powerful families. Seeing my food on the way I wanted this guy to leave and never show up again, “Well thank you for finding me interesting but I’m not in the market for more friends. So if you will be on your way.” I told him with a polite smile.
Mo Han almost laughed at the way Sara Wu acted, he took out his phone and told his assistance he could leave. Hearing what Mo Han said on the phone she frowned and gave him a glare, “Why did you tell your ride to leave, I was clear that I wanted you to leave me alone.” I told him.
“I don’t think so, I find you even more interesting now. You might not want more friends but I still wish to get to know you better.” He said giving her a wicked smile.
Feeling a shiver go down my spine I felt that getting along with Mo Han my life would never be the same. I wanted to leave but I was more hungry than upset, ‘Whatever! I’ll just eat and think of him like air.’ I thought while ignoring that he was sitting across from me staring at my face.
Mo Han watched her eat and found her to be a bright light in his dull life, ‘It might be fun keeping her by my side.’ He thought with a wicked smile as he watches Sara Wu eat without a care in the world.
Outside Momo watched and heard the whole conversation and found that it was a great show. In all the worlds that her mistress has visited she could always get her way and deal with any person or problem. This might be the first time someone has really got under her mistress’s skin, I wonder what this means. Momo was in deep thought as she watched her mistress and Mo Hand through the window.
