Macha’s Journey - Chapter 189 Warrior Of Love And Justice
The anger in Tyr’s voice left Macha’s knees weak. She realized a long time ago that she made a terrible mistake and the situation was completely her fault.
Her dark brown eyes fixated on the liquid that pooled at his feet as she played with her hands. “I’m sorry. I was too relaxed and wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings. I have no excuse.”
His hand wiped across his brow in an effort to remove more of the grootslang’s fluids off of him. A handful of sticky liquid collected between his fingers and he splattered it onto the floor.
Although he loved her, his voice remained devoid of warmth when he stated, “Listen to me next time. Let’s get out of the cave. I need to make sure you weren’t hurt and there isn’t enough light in here.”
The walk out of the cavern was done in silence. Macha felt too much guilt to say anything and the idea that the monster had eaten him left her shaken. While she reflected on her actions, Tyr struggled to handle the clawing fear he suffered while he was worried about her life.
When they stepped outside, Tyr examined her thoroughly. He worried that the grootslang had injured her. He did not want her hiding her injuries like she did when they visited Jimbaran. Her lack of communication back then would have sent him into a rage if he had not been overcome by concern.
Luckily he decided that they would wear their armors today. He did not know what this island was like, so he had them err on the side of caution. The only injuries she seemed to have were a few bruises on her torso, but when he pressed his hands on her, she did not wince in pain.
“Good,” he said as he moved in to give her a tight hug.
Macha pushed him back and shoved her ear cuffs into his hands, “Please, use them,” she choked out.
The stomach acids mixed with the blood created a stench that attacked her nose whenever she breathed. He smelled terrible and the offensive fluids covered him from head to toe. The whole time he inspected her, she was holding her breath and breathing only through her mouth.
His eyes narrowed, and he grabbed them from her hands. Seeing her gag every once in a while around him did not improve his mood. After all, it was not as if he wanted to smell like this either.
The warm orange glow of the enchantment covered his body. As the filth burned away and disappeared, Macha giggled. The enchantment caused the dirt and grime to glimmer as they dissolved, making his body glitter. His matted, crusty hair gained its usual volume and lifted away from his face.
Tyr ran his fingers through the dark brown locks in an effort to straighten his appearance. His athletic frame looked picturesque with the afternoon sun shining behind him.
After fixing his hair, he turned to her and tilted his head back cockily, “Better?”
The whole scene reminded her of the magical girl transformations from the anime she used to watch while growing up. The similarity was too funny and a sly smile spread on her face.
“Mmmhmm.”
He raised an eyebrow and tilted her chin up to give her a light kiss.
“What do you find so amusing?” he asked.
He slipped her ear cuffs in her hands and started gathering their bags.
She walked with a spring in her step as she fastened the cuffs on her ears. As she walked away from the cave entrance, she teased, “Nothing, my warrior of love and justice.”

On the way back to the airship, Tyr wanted to take a break behind a waterfall they passed by earlier. The picturesque scenery had icicles streaming down from the rocks at the top and there appeared to be a cave behind it. As they moved towards the waterfall, Macha admired the snow that covered the banks. She especially loved how the cold water splashed into the pool at the bottom, creating a fine mist which filled the air.
He pointed towards the back of the cave, “Let’s see if it is dry back there. I think it would be a good place to eat.”
After saying that, he picked her up to help her over a few rocks so they could get away from the splashing water.
Behind the waterfall, the falling stream of water made the image of the outside appear distorted. It was cooler back here and the rushing water created a relaxing sound. The cavern behind the falls had a deep semi-circular path which put them far enough from the waterfall that they would not get wet.
Macha spread the fur blankets that Tyr brought onto the ground and took out the containers of food which she packed earlier in the day. She filled the tins with rice and grilled chicken. She also added a few roasted pumpkin cubes, which were one of her favorites. The pumpkins always became sweeter after being roasted and she liked that she did not have to add sugar to the recipe.
Tyr took a bite of the chicken. The sticks that Macha had commissioned for them to dine with were an awkward invention. He found their design strange, but he admired that they could be used as weapons if needed. She had explained that she used to eat with this sort of utensil back in her world. Since it was a part of her history, he agreed to try it out.
After the meal, he was finally able to relax. The cool mist tickled his skin, and he leaned back into the soft furs. He closed his eyes and thought about how this was the life he loved. Going around with Macha and exploring was the best feeling in the world.
Although she got into trouble today, he knew with time she would be able to handle things on her own. Every day he got to witness her improving.
The corners of his mouth lifted and Macha admired how content he looked. Whenever he relaxed, his features became less harsh, and he lost the dangerous air which usually surrounded him.
Putting a hand on his chest, she asked, “What are you thinking of?” It was rare to witness him appearing so serene.
He opened his eyelids and stared at the ceiling. A few patches of green moss clung to the roof and the smooth stone had an uneven coloring to it.
“One day the water will wear away all of this stone. I hope we can return and see what this place looks like.”
His words had been simple but touching. It was the same as saying he wished to be with her for hundreds of years. The confession caused a shy smile spread across her face. She leaned down and nibbled his lips.
She glanced around to double check that they were alone. If they planned to come back someday, she wanted to make a few more memories here.
Macha watched him as she slowly lifted a latch that attached his greaves.
In a sensual voice that felt like velvet against his skin, she replied, “I would like that too. I agree that we should come back someday. Forget the beach. You look ravishing lying here against the furs.”
Hearing her call him ravishing made a grin spread on his face. He could not remember a time someone referred to him as ravishing in his life. As she undid another latch, he became aroused knowing that she wanted him. There was no other reason she would be taking his armor off in the cold.
“Ravishing you say…”
The idea of making love out here sounded amusing. It was rare that they had a chance to be intimate outside the office or apartment and it gave him a small thrill.
His hands moved to undo her armor as well. With each piece he removed, he gave her a sensual kiss. The pieces clattered to the side as he tossed them away. They were not in a rush and he planned to take his time with her.
An hour later, Macha breathed heavily beneath him. The light puffs of air from her heavy panting floated into the air. Her head was dizzy from the pleasure and her skin tingled.
She had just come and her hands ran along her skin wantonly. Her back arched off of the brown pelts, lifting her breasts towards him.
In English, she purred, “Oh God, Tyr…”
He loved when she switched to her native tongue when they made love. It was usually when she could not think straight, which turned him on even more. Tyr covered her hands with his and raised them above her head, pinning them down into the soft furs.
The fullness of her parted lips enticed him and he moved down to kiss her roughly, sucking her tongue before nibbling her lower lip.
Her hips rose, and he thrust himself deeper into her, his sex engulfed by her wet heat.
His dark green eyes gazed into hers, “You turn me on so much,” he growled.
Tonight she was so tight that it almost hurt to be inside her. He released her hands and moved her onto her elbows and knees.
“Come for me one more time,” he grunted as spread her legs apart.
The grip that her sex had on his shaft lessened and he ran his hands along her curves.
Macha’s moans of pleasure were drowned out by the raging waterfall. The fur caressed the tips of her breasts as he pounded against her hips.
Her body tensed and her back arched as he pulled her hair. Her vision blurred as her body began to convulse with pleasure.
As her body pulsated around him, he thrust himself deep inside her.
Macha inhaled loudly, “Tyr,” she moaned into the furs. Whenever he pushed deep inside her, she felt as if she would burst.
He pressed himself against her as he found his release, letting her grind against him until the end.
His eyes closed for a moment and he tilted his head back, savoring how all the tension in his body flowed out of him. His thumbs ran along her hips as he indulged in the feeling of becoming one with her.
Tyr pushed her onto the furs and stared down at her beautiful face. After lovemaking, the world always made sense and it cleared his mind. It was getting darker, but he could still see Macha’s figure beneath him. Her eyelids were heavy, and she stroked his forearms giving him a lazy smile.
The pelt was soft and inviting, so he sunk down next to her. He laid on his side and rested his head on his arm. The cold winter air cooled her skin, and he traced his hands along her soft curves.
Grabbing one of the other fur pelts he had packed, she tossed it over them. He purposefully kept his body temperature raised, and she snuggled up against him. The warmth of his hard body enveloped her, and she heard the beating of his heart.
As they embraced each other, they listened to the waterfall. It sounded like a heavy rain and had a relaxing effect. No words needed to be said. They just enjoyed each other’s affection and company.
Eventually, it became dark and Tyr decided they should head back. When he glanced down, he realized Macha had fallen asleep. Since it had only been a few minutes, he wanted to let her rest a bit more before they hiked back to the campsite.
He eased her off is his arm, carefully so he would not disturb her slumber. After gently laying her head down, he got dressed.
After donning the last piece of armor, he sat and watched the water fall from above. To the side, some lights from a few torches caught his eye.
Quickly glancing at Macha, he covered her snugly with the furs and grabbed his lances. He made his way toward the burning lights while staying in the shadows.
