Madtaks : Legend Of The Four Corners - Volume 3 Chapter 48
Earlier that morning, normal classes have started and it was Gantes’s first time attending college.
He never dreamed that he would be able to attend college. Not after what he has been through. He owes it all to his old man. The instructor started discussing the topic and Gantes tried his best to listen to the subject.
He could hear some students gossiping about Santi’s friend who lost his phone while other female students are gossiping about showbiz news.
“And by the way, may I warn everyone in being vigilant with their belongings. Apparently, there is a thief in the school that has victimized a teacher and some students. The culprit is still unknown so please be careful and watch your belongings. The school is currently investigating the events and we advise everyone to report if you get any information regarding the culprit or if you found the lost wallet and phones.” The instructor warned them.
Mark Gantes has been doing his best from resisting his old habit of stealing. Just morning today alone, he has successfully stolen three phones without the owners knowing it.
However, despite his efforts to become a good student in front of the instructor, he could not help but yawn in boredom. His tattoos slipping over his sleeves and the futile cover of his white uniform failed to hide the coiling dragon tattoo in his neck. His nose has multiple holes due to the countless piercings all over his body that tells a lot about his past.
Because of this, people could not help but suspect him but failed to see any evidence against him.
This is just not the kind of life he was used to. His lifeless eyes slowly dropped and his mind wandered to his life before he came in this school.
His memories flashed back a few years ago…

GANTES! GANTES! GANTES! GANTES!
Shouts and cheers can be heard from the dark to the middle of the cage. Piles of bloodied and unconscious brawny men filled inside the barbed cage. In the middle of a spotlight stood a young gray-haired man with a red dragon tattoo that covers his upper body that radiated a ferocious glow.
Inside a cage full of unconscious men, Gantes breathed heavily. His sweat mixed with blood dropped to the floor. His hands and face are covered in blood from the knocked people. Some of them are dead while others are disabled with broken bones.
His eyes are dark and emotionless. With every breath he exhales, his perfectly built muscles twitch abnormally. He was covered in sweat and blood all over. People would usually think he was a monster in first sight. He is the terror of every underground world fighter.
His name is Mark Gantes. In the underworld of drugs and the black market, he is known as the Gray Beast.
Since he was fifteen years old, he is an undisputed underground modern gladiator champion and a precious “punishing-pet” of a Drug Lord.
At seven, Mark Gantes was just a young kid who escaped an orphanage in search of his mother in Cebu. His courage, extraordinary body, and perseverance allowed him to reach far places by foot alone.
He lived by begging and scavenging trashcans and countless moments of chases from the local polices and social workers; it helped him to become stronger and bolder instead.
