Magic Research - Chapter 16:The Test (Part 2)
Disappointed by his performance Adrian handed the book to the masters and walked out of the room and joined Emill in the lobby.
“So how did it go?” Said Emill seeing Adrian approaching.
“I did not have time to answer all the questions, I missed two, “replied Adrian, shaking his head convinced that he had already failed.
Waiting for the summoning of the mages for the results Emill recomforted Adrian by saying that it was enough and that he was Mr.Genius and that it is not a simple test that will stop him.
They stopped speaking when the mage to whom he had handed the test book descended the stairs of the tower and said “Adrian comes into the room for the second test, the masters are waiting for you. ”
He has succeeded! If he could pass the second test it means that the first test is successful. But he did not rejoice too quickly because what’s the point of passing the first test if he does not succeed the second.
Adrian scrambled to return to the test room, he entered and the mage who was sitting next to him during the test said “You scored 53 point on 59, bravo, you can now pass the second test, sit down, we are going to ask you to write 30 different runes in 10 ancient languages, 3 per language, the writing is not enough it is also necessary that they attract the particles on the runes. ”
“Let’s start with the language Rediran writes the runes Sar (fire), Mart (Water) and Traq (Ice).”
Adrian started with Sar he wrote the rune that instantly took fire and write right next to it the rune Mart, which extinguishes the flame of the Sar runes and ends up writing the rune Traq which made appear on the surface of the paper a light layer of ice.
One of the masters says “he is already at the level of the Manifestation, without anybody to guide him, just for that reason he should already be part of the department” before he can say anything else the person who apparently run the test says “If he is in the Manifestation level in the other languages in this case he will be automatically accepted in the department, no need to judge futher someone who has reached this level in 6 months. ”
The others nodded and so Adrian continued for an hour to write runes, at the end of the test the mage gave him a badge inscribed with a rune and asked him “How old are you?, “14” responded Adrian immediatly.
“Welcome to the department Adrian, do not lose the badge that I just gave you, it gives you access to department and class department, what a pity that you’re already the disciple of the dean, it’s been at least 30 years that I I have not seen a talent like yours, usually it takes between 3 and 4 years to reach the level of the event on 10 languages and you do it in 6 months and at the age of 14.”
“Take that too, it will answer the question you are asking yourself, we must go I hope to see you in our rank in the future Adrian.”they came out of the room accompanied by the other masters, Adrian also left the room with his badge tightly in his hand.
Emill saw the badge in Adrian’s hand and congratulated him and told him the test and the reaction of the Masters while they returned to the garden next to their rooms.
After talking with Emill Adrian went back to his room and fell asleep even though the afternoon just started.
