Magical Academy: Rise of the Supreme Magic Craftsman - Chapter 481
Almost half an hour had passed before Wallace decided to check the previous battlefield which is now a huge crater.
The aliens, the spaceships, the corpses, almost everything that was left behind had vanished.
He extended his Divine Sense as much as he can to find the Celestial and Imperial Prince but…
“I can’t find them…”
Wallace muttered as he looked around. He wasn’t surprised if the prince had actually perished but for the Celestial to die with him?
Wallace feels like that shouldn’t happen.
As he was planning to continue with his search, he suddenly received Avalon’s report regarding the capsules that has managed to leave the planet.
[ One of the Escape Capsules was captured. One was destroyed and last one has managed to escape. ]
“How did the last one escape?”
Wallace asked in confusion.
Before the Third Great Offensive had even started, he ordered Avalon to send the three Mid-Size Battleships and 20 Chronos to orbit the planet. This is why he wasn’t too worried that the capsules would be able to fully escape.*
It was only a small capsule! Even if it wanted to escape, it wouldn’t be able to! The small vessel would need massive energy to outmaneuver the spaceships in outer space after all.
However, Avalon’s answer cleared his doubts.
[ It was reported by the magicians that they’ve seen a wormhole appear in front of the capsule before they both vanished. ]
“Tsk… So they still have that final trick, huh…” Wallace sighed.
There was nothing that he could do about that so he can only accept the reality.
“Alright… That’s fine… But just in case, have some of the Chronos to search at least a hundred A.U… That wormhole’s other end may not be that far from here.”
[ Affirmative. The twenty Chronos will be operated by a total of 40 Automatons and will handle the task. ]
Wallace was not hoping to find it but he wanted to at least try before giving up.
“Also, carefully investigate the content of that capsule you captured. Make sure to do it somewhere safe. It might be a trap so keep it in mind. Right, if the crews on Moon Base wanted to return here. Just let them be.”
[ Affirmative. The order will be sent to Manager Escanor. The investigation will proceed after a completely safe environment was established. ]
“Mhmm.” Wallace nodded as he was satisfied with Avalon’s arrangement.
“By the way, did you manage to download everything from the Flagship?” Wallace then recalled how the spiderbot tried to crack the database of the Flagship.
[ Negative. I only managed to copy 65% data before the explosion occurred. ]
“Sixty-five? That’s already impressive. I’ll look into it later–Wait, is there anything related to Zymeth Spaceship?”
Wallace suddenly tensed up after recalling this. He immediately asked Avalon with hopes of hearing some good news.
[ Yes. Collecting information now… ]
[ Beep! A total of 52 people from the Zymeth Spaceship have been captured alive by General Solon to extract all the information related to the Cube Artifact. However, the information about their whereabouts including their names has been sealed and it requires Level-9 Authority to gain access to it. ]
“Fifty-two people only?” Wallace was of course happy that some of them survived. However, the Zymeth Spaceship should have at least a thousand crew.
Wallace sighed again as he tried to focus first on the current situation of this planet. After calming down, he recalled what he has to do, he returned to a temporary camp set up by the remaining magicians where they rested and get treated in the meantime.
The previous mighty Lucent Force of Zairus only has about a hundred members now. Most of them were even the Lucent Knight pilots.
The Four Manors had also suffered heavily as their Grand Arcanists had either perished or seriously injured.
The previous 12 Mage Battalion of Zairus couldn’t even form a single battalion now.
The Cryptic Mages of the Z-Company had been erased and only a handful of them had survived.
The thousands of Automatons from Maja have all been sacrificed. The forces from Virgan had suffered as well and only their Grand Sage and a few of his apprentices had survived.
The Northern Natives had also suffered a lot killing more than half of them during the war.
They have indeed won and managed to kill the Imperial Prince… However, none of them is in the mood to celebrate. The heavy atmosphere is suffocating…
The temporary camp is surrounded by the remaining airships and a battleship. Everyone is either groaning in pain or keeping their silence as they received treatment from the mage doctors and Veda’s mechanical doctors.
However, Wallace couldn’t do anything about it. At the very least, he can only try to wrap everything up by dealing with the remaining enemy forces.
“Wallace… We still have to finish the war.”
A familiar woman’s voice suddenly attracted his attention.
Wallace glanced in the direction of the voice and saw his Senior Apprentice Lacus.
He looked at Lacus’ missing right arm as he nodded.
“You’re right… I’ll take care of it. Just recuperate for now.”
“Alright… Just don’t treat me as an invalid person, okay?” Lacus chuckled trying to lift up his mood.
“Don’t worry, we can make a decent prosthetic arm for you.”
“If you’re the one who’s going to make it, then I’ll look forward to it…” Lacus said with an excited face. Although she has bloodied bandages wrapped around her torso and arms, her beauty as she smiles could still not be hidden.
“Of course… Look forward to it.”
Now, Wallace has to deal with the aftermath of the war.
‘Everyone is exhausted… I can only ask Avalon to work harder to finish the remaining Aliens with me.’
Wallace is aware of the remaining three Conveyor Spaceships in different parts of the continent.
After these Conveyors released their Space Beasts, they have been sent to other parts of the Continent to collect Memory Crystals before transporting them to the Flagship to convert them into some kind of serum.
However, now that they have destroyed the Flagship, these Conveyors whose main task is only to carry massive types of equipment and thousands of Worker Androids would be easily captured if he was given time.
“Alright, I can’t let them escape…” Wallace said as he hurriedly used his Void Phase to visit them.
