[Main HP Comprehensive British-American] Lolita - Chapter 38
After a period of chaos, the spacecraft stabilized, everyone gathered in the same room, and they were notified of two news.
Loki has managed to escape, and Phil Coulson is dead.
“Who is Coulson?” Victoria whispered to Natasha next to her.
“An old S.H.I.E.L.D. agent,” she sighed, “a nice guy.”
Apparently, Coulson’s death caused everyone to fall into a great grief and anger. Victoria couldn’t really put on a sad face over the death of a stranger. To end the unbearable alienation, she stood up and walked out of the room.
“Hi.” Tony saw her come out and gestured with his glass.
“Hi.” She walked to his side and looked in the direction he was staring at. It was a huge floor-to-ceiling glass window with sunlight and clouds outside.
“Are there superheroes in the wizarding world?” Tony asked suddenly.
“No, we have very few people, and life is very simple,” Victoria leaned on the railing with her elbows. “Everyone graduated from the same school, got married, worked, and had children. This is their whole life.”
“But your husband is clearly not that kind of person.”
“He,” she shook her head and smiled, “he was the rebel, the rule breaker.”
“Because he just wants to abide by the rules he made,” Tony said sharply. “I like him a little bit, if he doesn’t use weird magic on me anymore.”
“Would you agree with Fury’s plan, I mean, be the Avengers and form a superhero league?”
“Sounds stupid, but maybe I will.”
“Then you’ll be a troublesome player,” she joked. “Maybe the Starks aren’t very good at teamwork.”
Tony didn’t laugh, took a sip of wine, “I said too much to Cap, I said he was the product of an experiment and got special powers from a small bottle of serum.” Then he said quickly as if to defend himself, ” Of course he also called me a coward hiding in armor, and we were even.”
“Me too,” she explained because of Tony’s bemused look, “I am also a product of experimentation, parentless, born into alchemy, and my titular mother even gave her life for me. My father, Joshua Stark, who died after this truth was revealed, and I had no chance to do anything, neither revenge nor reconcile with him. And then I met you, Howard, Maria, and you, Tony.”
“so?”
“I didn’t want to preach to you, I was just introducing myself and telling a story. You’re even older than me now, and I’m not qualified to preach to you. So, how did Howard and Maria die? ”
“You don’t need to know.” When Tony heard his parents, he put on an expression of rejection.
“I need it. If I can’t save everything, I can at least help the Tony I know,” she emphasized, “the four-year-old Tony.”
Tony Stark’s response was to put down the cup and turn away.
“I’m going to find the whereabouts of Sol and Dr. Banner, you can find something to do yourself.”
“He didn’t say?” Voldemort asked knowingly.
“No, he doesn’t believe me, probably keeping us on the spaceship just to keep an eye on us.”
“The timing of our arrival is too sensitive, and it is easy to be associated with someone like Loki.”
“What’s the deal with you and Loki?”
“He gave me a clue, and I promise not to interfere in this war.”
“It’s not fair at all, you paid almost nothing.” She raised an eyebrow.
“It wasn’t a real deal from the beginning, he just wanted to make it a little more chaotic and it was fun for him.” Voldemort smiled, but something more icy flashed in his eyes.” Key made a mistake that the gods often make, not believing that humans are strong enough to escape his grip.”
“He doesn’t think we can handle the ether,” Victoria affirmed.
“It’s going to be something he can’t regret.”
“Mr. and Mrs. Riddle,” said the English-accented male voice suddenly, “Mr. wants to speak to you.”
They looked at each other, “Go on.”
“Hi Victoria, long time no see.”
“We only talked half an hour ago.”
“Well I just wanted to ask, are you free to come to Stark Tower?”
“You’re not on the ship, does Fury know about it?”
“I didn’t know it just now, now,” he paused, as if he was checking something, “probably already. Wait three minutes for you, and I know it won’t take long for your wizards to arrive.”
“You’re willing to trust me?” she asked suspiciously.
“I believe my father, if you really know him.” He hung up the communication after speaking.
“Go ahead,” Voldemort said. “I’ve kept my word by staying here. Be careful of yourselves, Apparate in any danger, and leave them alone.”
“Hey Tony!” Victoria appeared on the roof of the Stark Building in the next second, waving happily to her brother.
“Can you get close to that device? With those weird little tricks of your wizards?” Tony didn’t respond to her greeting, still flying in the air in his armor.
“Let’s see,” she turned to the tall blue-lighting device and found an old man comatose beside it. “Tony, who is he?”
“Dr. Selvig, not from our side – can’t you hurry up?” He had already seen a familiar figure appear.
Rocky.
That’s too late. He descended slowly, abandoning plans to give Victoria a try.
“Miss Stark.” This voice startled Victoria, who was busy breaking the barrier of the device, and looked back to the place where the sound came from.
“I thought you would respect our deal and not show up here,” he continued.
“What kind of deal? Don’t be so obvious if you want to play estrangement.” She pretended to be stupid, “Tony, don’t trust him.”
While they were talking, Tony had taken off his armor and went to the bar to pour himself a glass of wine.
Loki approached him, “Please tell me you’re here to beg my mercy.”
“He’s here to intimidate you,” Victoria replied. “You’ve angered the Avengers.”
Seeing that Loki didn’t answer, Tony shrugged, “It’s our own name, a team, the most powerful hero on earth or something.”
Both sisters and brothers showed disgust at the same time.
“But you’re just like that,” he hinted at his successful escape, then glanced out the window, “My reinforcements are coming soon, do I need to be afraid of your threat?”
“We have more people than you, and you only have one person to fight alone,” Victoria said.
“Ihaveanarmy. (I have an army
“Don’t you understand? You’ll never wear that crown, maybe you’ll win, but there’s always someone who will avenge everything we sacrificed,” Tony said, even walking up to Loki himself.
Seeing the shortened distance between the two, Loki showed a winning smile, and the scepter in his hand touched the position of Tony’s heart.
Then nothing happened.
He tried again, but nothing changed.
“It worked before,” he muttered in shock.
“I understand, one of the five men will—” Before Tony could finish speaking, an angry Loki grabbed him by the neck and threw him out.
“Victoria, now!” Tony yelled.
“Gouging out the heart!” She cast an Unforgivable Curse on Loki, but was blocked by the opponent’s scepter.
“Is this all your power?” the man laughed.
“Just testing the water, next is the main course.” A red, mist-like energy appeared in Victoria’s hands, completely imprisoning Loki in an instant.
“Aether,” he half-knelt on the ground, “do you have the Infinity Stones in your hand?”
Victoria glanced at his scepter with the Mind Stone. “It’s called an eye for an eye.”
“Who are you? Humans can’t afford such a large amount of energy!”
His question stopped Victoria from walking towards the teleportation device, “Unfortunately, I’m the human you look down on.”
At this moment, the device shot out a huge blue beam of light, the channel was opened, and the Chitauri came.
The author has something to say: I quite like Jimei, so I left him the English version of his most classic lines.
