Marriage By Fire: All Hands On Deck - Chapter 3
Standing at the front inside the white chapel where Fan Tiffany’s wedding was supposedly meant to be held. Many of the guest who had received the wedding invite, were already sitting at their designated spot.
Fan Tiffany decked in white, her sparkly flowing gown had tiny stones that sparkled from the light coming from within the chapel. Each guest sat on rows of pew, as several of them kept looking at their watches to see when the groom would be arriving.
Already, murmuring was going on around, she could feel their eyes burning a hole at her back. It was said to be bad luck if the bride showed up at the front of the venue of the wedding before the groom.
Earlier, she had taken her time to dress up and apply her makeup inside one of the practice room, usually reserved for the church band. The room quickly filled up with baskets of flowers coming from well-wishers that could make it and those that couldn’t make and had to send someone to deliver them on their behalf.
Fan Tiffany looked at herself at the mirror’s reflection and saw the uncertainty reflected in her chocolate brown eyes, the makeup artist she had hired for her wedding artistically applied the makeup on her face, making her look daringly alluring.
Anytime someone walked in to drop flowers in the makeshift dressing, they would talk about how pretty she looked and how blessed Wang Feiyu was to be married to her. The compliments took some of the tension that she felt from within, but there was still that underlying sense of doubt that she could not push aside since he gave her a lift home yesterday.
