Marry Before Love - Chapter 1-2
When he went downstairs today, he saw another breakfast that he had not been affected by.
He smiled at the cramped little maid who didn’t know what to say, and sat down silently to settle the breakfast for the two of them.
In fact, Cheng Yuan used to eat breakfast before going to the company, but after he tried to make breakfast and was seen by the other party, he never ate breakfast at home again.
He and Cheng Yuan have been married for five years. He thought that time would resolve everything, but he didn’t expect Cheng Yuan to be unwilling to accept him. He hated this forced marriage, and even took anger at him.
But he couldn’t do anything about it. He once thought that since they were all married, they should try to make it better, and maybe they could develop feelings, but Cheng Yuan’s attitude has always been so terrible.
The gifts he sent would be returned by Cheng Yuan’s housekeeper, and the cooked meals would also be returned intact. He can understand Cheng Yuan’s dissatisfaction with this marriage, so he can only take them back silently.
They slept separately at night. Although they did not sleep in separate rooms due to the strong request of Cheng Yuan’s parents, one quilt per person was Cheng Yuan’s last bottom line.
In the beginning, Cheng Yuan would deal with him superficially. With more and more real power in his hands, he was too lazy to do his superficial work. He went out early every day, and only returned late at night with a chill.
Cheng Yuan’s parents disliked his behavior, him spending all day in the company, but now he is no longer the fledgling young master who could be controlled by his parents like before.
At night, he was woken up by a rustling sound. He slept very lightly and could be woken up by a little noise. He heard the sound of Cheng Yuan entering the bathroom to wash, as well as the sound of washing himself.
Cheng Yuan’s mother had told him countless times that they wanted them to develop their relationship well, but the relationship could not be maintained by only one person.
Cheng Yuan has made a lot of efforts to get rid of his parents’ control in the past five years. He often comes back drunk from drinking outside. When he is drunk, he is the most obedient. If he’s told to raise his hand, he raises his hand, and if he’s told to drink water, he drinks water. He would also hug his waist and hum, almost making him think they were a happily married couple. It’s just that after sobering up, the good boy who does whatever he says will turn back into Cheng Yuan with thorns.
He also has his own study room in Cheng’s house. In the innermost drawer is the birthday gift he gives to Cheng Yuan every year. When he gave it out for the first time, he saw that Cheng Yuan did not refuse, and thought it would be a good start. I just didn’t expect that that night he was caught in the bed by this gift box that was wrapped by himself.
Every year that followed, Cheng Yuan thanked him for the gift in front of his parents, but the moment he’d turn around he would throw the unopened gift back into his quilt, or put it on the table in the bedroom.
Maybe they will never see the light of day again.
“Sir?” The little maid with a ball-shaped head next to him softly called him, “Is it still to be delivered to the Master’s company today?”
“Yeah.” Since the meals he cooked were returned by Cheng Yuan, he packed the meals made by the chef at home, took them to Cheng Yuan’s company by car, and handed them over to the Cheng Yuan’s personal assistant before coming back. Just in order to prevent the him from taking his anger to the meals he delivered, he always contacted his assistant, and Cheng Yuan always thought it was delivered by the servant at home.
He was sitting in the car, watching the flow of people coming and going outside the car window. There were students playing and sparring on the side of the road. He suddenly remembered the idea of studying in graduate school. If he hadn’t married Cheng Yuan, would he be one of them now? a student?
The buzzing of the phone interrupted his thoughts. He looked down and saw that it was a text message from Cheng Yuan’s mother asking them to come to the old family house together during the Spring Festival. After handing over the bento box and thermos to the assistant this time, he did not go back immediately, but asked the driver to take him to a nearby shopping mall and pick him up in two hours.
Since his marriage, neither the Cheng family nor his own family seem to be the place to return to him. Cheng Yuan was reluctant to accept him, and his family treated him as always, but after all, he was already married, and it would not be good for the Cheng family to always go back to his own home.
Although Cheng Yuan kept his distance from him, he never treated him badly. On the wedding day, Cheng Yuan gave him his credit card and other cards.
He rarely touches those cards, so Cheng Yuan shouldn’t care about them either. Only when it is related to Cheng Yuan only then he would use the cards. This is a subconscious behavior. Maybe when Cheng Yuan proposed to sleep in separate rooms on the wedding day, he could clearly see the boundary between their relationship.
He tried so hard to try, and the other person retreated again and again.
He would prepare gifts for Cheng Yuan, Cheng’s father and Cheng’s mother.
When he first got along, he would prepare gifts by himself, but since those gifts were all going to the warehouse to collect dust, it didn’t matter who prepared them.
He came here to buy a Chinese New Year gift for his younger brother, who just entered college this year. His parents had already chosen it a few days ago, but his younger brother still couldn’t make up his mind. He had been away from campus for too long, and he didn’t know much about today’s children. What do they like?
So I could only ask my brother’s circle of friends, hesitantly bought a few pairs of shoes he liked, and some things he mentioned in the chat, after thinking about it, I chose a watch, which is suitable for college students like my brother to wear, simple and elegant.
After choosing the gift, it was almost time. Instead of going to Cheng Yuan’s company, he sent a text message to inform him that he had something to say when he got home. Although Cheng Yuan did not show obvious dissatisfaction with him going to his company, and even introduced him to the company’s employees when he went there for the first time, but after he was forced to marry.
Well, he told himself in his heart that this kind of life of mutual respect is much more real than those marriages where they live and support each other in harmony in their relationship. Although Cheng Yuan didn’t like him, but given him enough attention in front of outsiders, what else could he be dissatisfied with?
After all, there are very few people who have a harmonious relationship like his parents. He
looked at the phone and gave a brief reply from Cheng Yuan. Cheng Yuan was not bad for him, and in the eyes of outsiders, it was his husband’s relationship that was stable and there is no third party involved,so what are you expecting?
Do you expect Cheng Yuan to accept this marriage that brought embarrassment to the person like him?
Maybe it was because he remembered his text messages. It was rare that Cheng Yuan didn’t come back late at night. When he was typing on the computer, he could hear some footsteps outside the bedroom door. He didn’t expect him to come so early today. He clicked save in a hurry and then closed the computer. Then the bedroom door was opened. Cheng Yuan approached in a suit, stood behind him and asked, “You said something happened today, what is it?”
He pulled out the text message in his mobile phone and handed it to Cheng Yuan. As he expected, when he saw the contact, his face fell, and when he saw the content, it became even more gloomy.
“Go back to the family’s old house, what’s on her mind,” Cheng Yuan’s voice was very low. He thought he would say a few more words, but he didn’t expect home to change the topic, “Since she said to come back to the old house, how can we decline her request?”
Cheng Yuan returned the mobile phone to his hand and said “I will prepare the gift” and walked straight to the study.
He sighed lightly and silently turned off the screen. Cheng’s father’s current wife is the second wife. The first wife, Cheng Yuan’s biological mother, died when he was still young, and Cheng Yuan’s biological mother died less than a year after he was born. His father married the second wife, and she brought a son who was only three years younger than Cheng Yuan.
Anyone with discernment knew that this was the illegitimate son of Cheng’s father outside. He also sent tea and snacks to him several times, and also stayed in Cheng Yuan’s study a few times under the pretext of reading books. However, Cheng Yuan ordered the housekeeper to set up a study room for him at Cheng’s house.
He looked at the closed bedroom door and sighed, then turned on the computer to continue.
