Marvel King - Chapter 3
“That’s not whisky.”
Then he continued wandering through the alleys looking disappointed.
It had been a day since he had escaped from the traffickers’ docks, after his escape he thought that he would finally live properly, after all the abilities he possessed were worthy of a superman, but only seconds after all the abilities, skills and techniques he had acquired disappeared.
The calm and courage he felt also disappeared, leaving him only in fear and disgust at having killed so many people.
From time to time he looked at his hands, remembering the sensation he felt when he broke the necks of the men he had killed, their expressions of despair and fear when he cut them off, the sensation of blood and warm flesh splashing on his hands.
Thinking about it, he couldn’t help but bend down and vomit for a few minutes before continuing on his way.
He continued wandering like this before arriving in a park, he sat on the bench enjoying the quiet of the night, then he closed his eyes for a moment before reopening them.
The lottery wheel that had disappeared since the night before reappeared in his mind with the word Start.
“I thought I lost you, I don’t know sk you’re an alien, a magic wheel or some shit like that but I’m grateful for your help.”
James received no response, making him scratch his head in embarrassment.
“You’re not very talkative.”
The wheel then began to turn and the word Start was replaced by Stop.
“Hehe, if I get an ability like last time I’ll rob a bank first, then I won’t have to worry about feeding myself for a while, hehehe.”
James’ eyes turned slightly red with madness as he made an evil laugh.
“For once I’m lucky!”
“Boom*
But at the same time, an explosion sounded about ten meters away from James, frightening him, then he heard the screams of the fleeing crowd.
James then turned around and saw a giant rock monster over five meters high throwing cars in all directions, destroying nearby buildings.
Without thinking our brave protagonist, fearless with a strong sense of justice, fled without turning around.
“God why so much bad luck!”
“But Jameson, we were supposed to be doing a story about the New York Zoo, the boss won’t be happy.”
“This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for, to start my career, Ryan turns on the fuċkɨnġ camera, I’ll take responsibility for it.”
The cameraman then nodded his head.
“If you take responsibility, then it’s okay.”
“We’re on the air in 3…2…1…”
“Good evening New York, I’m J. Jonah Jameson, your loyal reporter, tonight at Hell’s Kitchen Park, 10 Ave, between W. 47 St. and W. 48 St., a giant rock monster wreaks havoc.”
At the same time an explosion occurred forcing Jameson to step back, but he still continued his television report.
“The monster’s getting more and more violent, so what do the authorities do, wait… the monster starts chasing a man… he looks like a homeless man!!!
“Oh, my God, the monster’s probably gonna rip that poor homeless guy to shreds, what are the police doing, the army, somebody save this man.”
“Wait, there’s been a change. The homeless guy just stopped, he must have lost all hope of escape!”
“He just turned around, he looks at the monster, I can feel the desperation in his eyes, what a tragic scene!! …wait, he was just winds his right arm in a clockwise direction like he was warming up for a workout, the monster’s coming towards him, this is the end!”
*Bang*
Jonah Jameson : …
Cameraman: ….
Viewers : ….
Everyone was stunned by the spectacle they had just seen, the supposedly helpless homeless man on the verge of despair had actually just hit a gigantic monster and knocked it out completely.
The monster passed out on the ground was silent, the fleeing passers-by were silent, the viewers were speechless, then the homeless man walked quietly in an alley disappearing from everyone’s sight.
J. Jonah Jameson came to his senses, wiped the drops of sweat from his forehead and said in a trembling voice.
“Thanks, my homeless friend, thanks to you I’ll probably get a promotion.” Thought Jonah with a sincere smile.
James didn’t know that he had just been considered a friend in the heart of the New York’s future best journalist, he just was fleeing further away and quickly left Hells Kitchen before stopping in a dark alley.
“Hahaha I feel full of energy and strength.”
“It’s time to rob a bank.”
But at the same time all his strength failed him, he went from being Phinks Magcub of Hunter x Hunter to a miserable, underfed homeless man from New York, almost making him want to cry.
“Why so much bad luck, why God?” Did he pity himself before he walked sadly through the dark alleys of New York City.
