Marvel Rebirth - Chapter 9 Second Summon
It has been months since Eijaz received his hideout which only took a couple of weeks to finish building. And it has a lot more modifications than he have asked for. He even found some hidden cameras in which he instantly destroyed. It seems like his father was getting suspicious of him. Well, who wouldn’t be?
Eijaz, with his now advance rune mastery, inscribed a lot of runes including barrier runes which doesn’t allow anyone aside from himself, silence runes which doesn’t allow sound to get out no matter how loud it is, expansion runes which makes the place a lot more spacious, and a lot more for security purposes.
Eijaz also leveled up a couple of times in the past few months. He also now have enough mana to initiate a summoning ritual. Eijaz was just waiting for the perfect time to do so as it is quite dangerous to just do so. He don’t know what would come out nor how big or small the creature would be. It would be quite troublesome if he got caught.
And during the past few months, Tony Stark who had just made his declaration of him being ‘Iron Man’ has been doing some heroic service or as what people call it, here and there, basking himself in too much fame. There are also news about terrorism in some parts of the country. ‘But what does it got to do with me? Nothing..’ Eijaz thought while looking at the bustling city street.
They are currently travelling back from the tennis tournament that he had joined in Harlem to one of the hotel branches that his family owned. Eijaz was being home schooled, and the opportunity to make friends is almost nonexistent aside from a couple that he had made from playing tennis. He doesn’t mind it at all.
There were only a couple of hours before it went dark, and all he wanted now was a good night’s rest. Suddenly, his phone rang bringing him out of his reverie. Without looking who it was, Eijaz answered.
“Where were you now?” a voice whom he identified as his father, anxiously asked.
“Ahh… Still travelling to the nearest hotel branch. Is there something wrong, Dad?” he replied.
“Where specifically?”
Eijaz, not knowing where they’re currently at, turned to the chauffeur for an answer. “Where is this again?”
“Harlem, Sir.”
“We’re still in Harlem, Dad.” Eijaz said, warily. He was feeling tired from all that playing and he have no time to deal with another tiresome matter.
“Get out of there this instant!” His father roared immediately after hearing his answer. Eijaz, with a confused expression on his face, tried to ask why when suddenly a loud explosion rang out followed by the screams of the pedestrians.
—————————-
A hideous titan like abomination can be seen rampaging through the once bustling city streets, chasing after civilians and destroying business structures. Although there was military and local NYPD interference, their involvement proved to be of little value as their bullets can’t seem to injure the abomination.
Meanwhile, in the helicopter, Banner who was taken into custody along with Betty Ross, realizing that the Hulk is the only one who can stop the rampaging beast, was able to convince General Ross to release him.
“Open the back door.” Banner said as he heads toward the tail-end of the aircraft that was being opened.
“Bruce! Bruce, stop! Stop! What are you doing? Think about this! You don’t even know if you’ll change!” Betty reasoned out.
“You don’t have to do this! Please, this is insane!” She begged as she tried to stop Banner from jumping out.
“Betty, I’ve got to try. I’m sorry.”
Banner jumped out of the helicopter with eyes closed, counting on the fall to trigger a transformation which seems to be not working.
“Oh, shit.” he said as he crashed down into the pavement. A moment later, a big green hand appeared. Banner’s plan succeeded and he transformed into Hulk.
Hulk emerged from a crater on the street and roared to call the Abomination’s attention, and rips off the remains of the shirt that he had on. He charged towardAbomination, who speared him off his feet.
Hulk smashed a police car in half and used the pieces as boxing gloves. He punched Abomination repeatedly into the pavement so hard it caused a crater.
Hulk prepared to give him one more punch, but the Abomination kicked him through a wall into a nearby building.
As the Abomination climbed the wall, GeneralThaddeus Ross ordered the helicopter to open fire on him.
“Use that thing, soldier! Give him some help!” General Ross ordered.
“Which one?” the soldier asked anxiously.
“Help the green one, damn it! Which one do you think? Cut the other one in half!”
The helicopter chased the Abomination across the rooftops. When suddenly, he lunged and grabbed the helicopter just as Hulk arrived and grabbed him.
The two goliath’s wrestling caused the helicopter to spin in the air and hit a signage which damaged its tail rotor and eventually crashed on the ruins of a building.
Hulk was sprawled on the ground with lots of singes and bruises all over his body. Suddenly a red light enveloped him which shocked him silly. As the red light flashed out, he found himself free from injuries and stronger than before.
“They’re not dead, just unconscious.” A young voice suddenly spoke out, assuring him of about the people in the helicopter. “Go and finish that monster. I’ll support you whenever.”
Hearing that, Hulk just grunted as he stands up, getting ready for another round. Thr Abomination appeared unharmed and taunted Hulk once more.
The two faced-off once again. They both charged towards each other, but the Abomination flings and pinned Hulk against a wall and stabbed him in the chest with his exposed elbow while mocking him.
Meanwhile, the destroyed helicopter was leaking fuel and releasing sparks, threatening to cause a fire with Betty and the general still trapped inside it.
However, seeing Betty in danger made Hulk angrier, so he overpowered Abomination and slammed him into the wall just as the helicopter caught fire.
Eijaz, still in his invicible state, immediately fired a rune spell. A blue colored magic circle appeared mid-air and froze the leaking fuel and stopped the raging fire.
“Carla, use Ruby Balm to everyone inside.” he then ordered to the carbuncle.
Seeing this, the Hulk stopped mid-step, relieved. The Abomination hit Hulk with a concrete pillar on a chain which smashed the Hulk hard into the ground.
‘Tsk! He’s still losing…What to do…?’ Eijaz thought for a while. Seeing that he got no other choice, he called Carla to boost his mana and immediately unsummoned her. Eijaz outstretched his arms up to the sky and said, “Summon…!”
A huge yellow runic circle appeared and lightened up the night sky, spanning half a kilometer across. Suddenly, the wind picked up its pace and formed into a huge twister with Eijaz at the center of it.
Yellow feathers, like the one that he had in his inventory, began to fall down from the night sky and then appeared a figure of his new summon followed by a loud shrill that broke the glass windows of several store fronts. Eijaz identified the creature with his observe skill as,
[Garuda]
[Lady of the Vortex]
When Eijaz got a closer look, he found that it is a birdlike humanoid creature with pale skin and white feathers around her head that sticks out like another pair of wings. She also have two pair of sharp metallic looking wings and talon like hands, with the same metallic feathers covering her torso and legs like an armor.
‘Wow..’ Eijaz can’t help but marvel at his new summoned creature as it landed on the ground before him. Not only him, but everyone including the Abomination, Hulk, Betty, and General Ross were in shock of the arrival of the creature before them.
Remembering the creature that nearly threatened his life, Eijaz turned serious and looked at the abomination that was once fighting Hulk. “Destroy him. Don’t let even a speck of its ash remain.” He coldly said. Hearing this, the [Garuda] vanished and instantly appeared in front of the Abomination and did an instant frontal cleave which slammed the Abominable into the ground.
[Garuda] then dugged her talon at the back of the Abominable like a prey that he is, and took off into the night sky. The Abominable tried to break free but with the sharp talons of the [Garuda] latching into him, he can’t help but just scream in pain and despair which reverberated across Harlem.
The whirlwind slowly dispersed and with that, Eijaz turned to the big green monstrosity and said, ” Don’t worry about him. He’s as good as dead.” His voice, loud enough for everyone conscious to hear which only amounts to three.
“We’ll meet again. If fate allows it. Goodbye.” Eijaz said. Hulk turned to where the voice came from and saw no one.
Moment later, the police and several witnesses arrived to the scene only to find Hulk and no Abomination. They assumed that the Abomination had retreated or escaped which greatly worries them. Or so they thought.
