Marvel Watch - Chapter 22
So, someone commented on my other project about Marvelwatch, asking why there were no updates. It certainly has been a while. It’s not like I have done nothing (I have a half finished chapter). I just haven’t been able to progress well. I thought that everyone who isn’t there deserved more or less the same answer.
The most important part is: I have not completely given up on Marvelwatch. I just kind of wrote myself into a corner and wasn’t sure how to move forward. I set the beginning when I did because I was tired of similar reincarnation/crossover fics where the MC was insanely OP without good reason. Interestingly, those got dropped by the authors disappointingly quickly. So, I made him powerful, but with need and room for growth.
However, putting him in A) at the age of ten and B) too early for major MCU events created problems as well. One being the natural divide between his mental and physical ages. Another being the lack of source material to work with. Working with the manga for Hero Academia in hand for reference helped me to do a lot in one night, as I have learned. So I had a lot to do, not much done for me, and I know some people wanted romantic interests, including Black Widow, but the age thing made things complicated in a very bad way.
Put these on top of my deplorable capacity for writing in volume, and you get the blanks that have come for so long.
So, I have a lot to think about. For the next little bit, I guess I will be focusing on Swarm Academia as I outline things for Marvelwatch. The first priority being how to reach and handle the timeskip that will be necessary to get to the good stuff. Like gunning down Chitauri, using Mercy to cure cancer, and more.
Hopefully, with my finals being done by next Wednesday, I will have enough free time that I will work on both of my projects for a month or two while school is on break. That, or reach Platinum in League of Legends and/or Starcraft.
This is another part of why nothing is getting done around here. Too many things contribute to that.
Sigh.
Well, I guess for lack of more things here, I can turn this into an AMA query. Seeing as I don’t really have a plot outlined for Marvelwatch that branches off of the main MCU line (unlike Swarm Academia, which has to leave sometime before catching up with the manga…), I don’t have much to spoil, but I’ll say so if there is anything.
Sigh, lots to plan, and not enough solid ideas yet. I kinda have some subplots, I guess…
Oh, and can someone tell me how I can see paragraph comments in a browser? I can see someone has commented through my phone, but I can’t find the buŧŧon for it in Chrome…
