Mated to a Werecat - 15 Maxwell's Point of View
Iris is a wonderful girl. She helped me without wanting to know why I trashed my room, why I was crying, or anything. How could anyone hate her? She’s the mate and Luna anyone could ask for. Not going to lie, I do feel bad waking her up twice during the night. I’m going to make it up to her, just after the ceremony. Looking into the mirror at the bottom of the stairs, I fixed myself for the I don’t remember thousand time.
“You look fine Max,” Rosemary said.
“Thanks,” I replied.
Viola mind linked me.
V: “We’re heading down stairs now.”
M: “Alright. Thanks for telling me.”
V: “No problem. By they way, she’s jaw dropping hot. I am so tempted to take her back to the room.”
M: “V, she’s not lesbian, bi, or pan. She’s straight.”
V: “You never know that.”
M: “Whatever. Just bring her to me.”
V: “Alright. Alright. You’re no fun.”
I laughed at her childish reply. I totally understand her pain because we both lost our mates. Well…let me reword that. My mate died. Her mate rejected her because she wasn’t into guys. The guy was a douche anyways. Viola cleared her throat as she stood in front of me.
“Ready to see my masterpiece?” she asked.
I chuckled and nodded.
“You can come down Iris,” she yelled.
At that given moment, Iris slowly came down to the stairs. Viola was right. She is jaw dropping hot in the dress. I held out my hand and she took it.
“Hello there beautiful,” I said to her.
She blushed.
“Hi Max,” Iris replied.
“You look stunning,” I told her.
“Thank you. You do as well,” She said.
“Thank you. Ready to enter the ceremony?” I asked.
“Yep. Like Viola said, lets get this show on the road,” she replied.
I chuckled and led her to where the ceremony was being held.

Iris’s Point of View:
Max led me to the backyard where the ceremony was being held at. There was a lot of people. And I mean a lot.
“Max, how many pack members are there?” I asked.
“Roughly around 207,450 members,” Maxwell said.
207,450 members is a lot. How do they keep track of all of them? Getting lost in my train of thought, I ran into someone and whoever I ran into caught me.
“Whoa there hot stuff, you okay?” the person said.
I looked up to see a very tall guy with black layered hair with teal tips. He had piercings on his lips, tongue…I think, and ears.
“Yeah. I am. Thanks for catching me, and sorry for running into you. I should’ve paid attention to where I was going,” I said back to him.
“No need to apologize. And you’re very welcome. I’m Leeland. But the pack calls me Lee for short. What’s your name?” he said.
“Iris,” I said.
“Pretty name for a pretty lady,” Lee said, smirking at me.
“Iris there you are,” Max said coming up to where me and Leeland are at.
“Beta Maxwell. Pleasant to see you,” Leeland said.
“Leeland. I see you met Iris,” Max said back.
“Why yes. She’s a pretty lad. The dress looks stunning on her. Didn’t Lily wear this exact dress when she joined the pack as Beta female?” Leeland said getting under Max’s skin.
Max growled and I stepped in the middle of them.
“Boys, not here and not now. I would like to have fun. Not see another wolf fight,” I said remembering Max’s and Lucius’s fight.
Max nodded and Leeland just shrugged and gave me a wide smile.
“Whatever you say pumpkin,” he said and walked off into the crowd, leaving me with Maxwell.
“So what do you want to do?” I asked.
“Want to go meet the Elders?” Maxwell asked me answering my question.
“Sure,” I replied.
Taking Maxwell’s hand in mine, Maxwell led me the way to where the Elders were at.
