Mated to a Werecat - 3 Lucius's Point of View
I was laying in my bed trying to get some sleep when my beta, Maxwell, mind-linked me.
M: ‘Alpha.’
L: ‘What?’
M: ‘There’s been a sighting of a cat shifter crossing into our territory.’
A cat shifter? What’s a cat shifter doing in my territory? I thought they were extinct. They better not be fooling around about this.
L: ‘I’ll be there. Give me a minute.’
M: ‘Alright alpha. We just chased her up a tree.’
L: ‘Okay. Make sure she doesn’t escape.’
M: ‘Will do.’
With that I walked out my room and pack house with only a pair of basketball shorts on. I shifted once I got to the woods and ran to where they were.

To the point where the last chapter left off at:
I picked up the conscious feline and ran home fast.
L: ‘Doctor O’Reilly’
Doctor: ‘Yes alpha.’
L: ‘I need you. It’s my mate.’
Doctor: ‘On it alpha.’
When I got in the pack house, the pack doctor, Dr. O’Reilly, took the feline to the infirmary. I followed behind until a nurse told me to wait and clean up while the doctor took care of her.
I sighed and walked back to my room. Yes, I know I’m naked as the day I was born. But I don’t care. My mate just fell out of a tree in front of me. Holy fuck. I haven’t even met my mate and I’m going crazy.
I took a quick shower and threw on a pair of joggers and socks. I grabbed my laptop and walked downstairs to wait patiently.
After a few hours, Dr. O’Reilly tapped me on the shoulder, waking me up.
“So, how is she?” I asked.
The pack doctor chuckled.
“You haven’t known your mate long and you care for her like you knew her your whole life,” the doctor replied. “But since you asked, she’s going to be alright.”
I sighed out the breath I’ve been holding.
“But,” he started.
“But what?” I asked with fear in my voice.
“But she’s in a coma. I don’t know how long she’ll be out like that. As for injuries, she had a concussion. So she’ll wake up with a terrible headache. She also had broken a couple ribs and broke her leg. She’s also showing signs of being underweight. But I can’t check until she’s awake,” the doctor told me.
“Can I have her moved to my room?” I asked.
“Sure, but you have to be gentle with her,” he said sternly.
“I will doc. Thanks,” I said.
Dr. O’Reilly took me to where they had my mate. She was in her human form sound asleep and naked. She looked like an angel even though she was still stained with dirt. I growled at the thought of another man looking at what’s mine. The pack doctor cleared his throat and smirked at me. I carefully picked her up and carried her to my room. I gently set her down in my bed, covering her with the blankets. I thanked the pack doctor once again before climbing into bed with my mate, hoping she’ll wake up soon.
