Max Level Miscellaneous Character - CH 39
The surrounding environment and the texture of the land have changed. The grass and trees are overgrown, and the ground is damp. It’s not just because of the rain. All of a sudden, they had entered the realm of the Lizardman.
Where there were only soil, grass, and trees, traces of civilization were now visible. The eyes of many Lizardmen did not move and looked at the strangers.
“human?”
“Human? Here?”
A low squeaking sound echoed everywhere. Delfino, unable to understand what that meant, was nervous and swallowed his dry saliva.
They didn’t show any particular hostility, but this place was like an enemy camp. They couldn’t trust each other.
The leader of the party, Ferocious Tooth, led Ivan and Delfino to the Lizardman Chief as soon as they arrived at the village.
As he entered the large building in the center of the village, he saw the Lizardman Chief. He stood with thick armor and a sharp spear.
Lizardmen were generally larger than humans, but the Lizardman Chief seemed to be about twice the size of them.
A reptile, much larger than a human, was standing on its two feet and staring at you, which made them felt quite pressured.
However, Ivan and Delfino did not change their expressions. Because the turmoil they had to go through in their lives was not easy to be scared just because they were large.
Lizardman’s signature slurred language came out of the chieftain’s mouth.
“Right, I heard you speak our language.”
“It’s good enough to have a conversation.”
“It’s amazing. It’s a little awkward, but not to the point where it’s annoying to hear. There were humans who used our language so skillfully.”
Being able to communicate with each other meant that we could empathize with each other. The start wasn’t bad.
“So, how did you get here?”
“You may know, but the orcs are moving on a scale like never before. They attacked and seized the eastern part of the human kingdom. We’re fighting them fiercely.”
“Is that so? Lately, the orcs have been a little noisy.”
It’s ridiculous. Ivan knew the orcs were aiming for the lizardmen’s realm.
Ivan thought so to himself, but he pretended not to know.
“We don’t want those cruel and disgusting orcs to cross the mountains and invade human lands, because the battle in the east is enough already. I’m here to stop it.”
