Meeting Again - 53 Confrontation
Robbie POV
After dropping off Tony and Twen, I sat on my car, behind the wheels. I looked at the road without really seeing it. The words of Twen were still ringing in my ears. My entire being felt cold. I picked up my hand to look at my palm. I remembered the hug that I shared with Twen a while back.
It was the first time I touched my son!
The feeling of his soft baby hair on my palm, his little face on my arm, his small fingers grabbing on my coat, his small warm body on my chest…. everything…everything still lingered…the feelings of crushing regret evoked in my heart.
I had not seen him being born or his baby self or celebrated his birthday or tended his wounds or hold him in my arm or gone out with him or attended any of his memorable events….there was so much due on him from me.
Today was also the first time that I earnestly felt like a parent!
I was a father!
I felt utterly overwhelmed as the words sunk in. He called me ‘Daddy’. Unconsciously, even with all the heart wrenching pain in the pit of my stomach, a warm glorious feeling was rising inside me. A feeling of someone who was mine. A deep and strong desire to protect him from every harm started to rapidly make a home inside my heart. The palm I was staring at, slowly I folded my fingers and gripped it tight. I won’t let Twen suffer. Not anymore!
I started the car and slammed on the acceleration with all my strength. I have to hurry back home and have to know what schemes had my dad been concocting!!
WALKER VILLA
“Dad” I called bursting into my dad’s study only to see him sitting in a relaxed position on his arm chair. His fingers were entwined, his chin placed above it.
To my surprise, there was another man opposite him. He was slender man, with pitch black hair, bronze skin and shrewd brown eyes which were curtained in the front by spectacles. On seeing me, a smile which was as fake as existance of unicorns spread across his face. He had this cold, calculative look on his face, that caused a terrible discomfort to me. I instantly surmised, this man was bad news.
“What on Earth made you flew in such a rage as to almost break down my study room door” my father spoke slowly but each word had the weight of few pounds!
“I would like to converse with you” I said as I turned my gaze to stare coldly at the person present before me saying with heavy emphasis, “PRIVATELY”
“Ahhhh let me introduce you to Lawyer Mark WInters. He has quite the name in Lawyer circle” my father introduced pointing at Mr. Mark with open palms.
“Ah Mr. Walker, you exaggerate” the man named Mark said, trying to sound modest yet failing miserably, “Nice to meet you, Mr. Walker” the man said turning to me and forwarding his hand to shake mine. I couldn’t help noticing a disdainful and mocking undertones to his ‘friendly’ smile
I nodded ignoring his hand. This man looked like some sly fox and it made me feel uncomfortable.
The lawyer didn’t look even remotely phased by my indifference instead he smiled at me malevolently.
“Junior Walker definitely has got tempers. But I think it comes with this bloodline” lawyer Mark said turning slowly to look at Mr. Walker who too had a smile playing on his lips
“Anyway, please remember what I have discussed with you, Mr. Walker” he continued getting up from his place and forwarding his hand to shake my dad’s hand, who too got up from his place, “So, I won’t be disturbing you anymore. I ll take my leave”
“Yes! Rogers” my dad called, while simultaneously taking his hand to shake. Roger appeared in a minute and said in a respectful tone
“Yes sir”
“Escort our guest out” My dad said smiling his business smile.
The lawyer left escorted by Rogers who closed the door as he left. The silence that fell was so heavy that it was almost suffocating.
“What is it that you want to talk to me about?” Dad asked resuming his comfortable position
“When and how did you got to know about Tony and Twen?” I asked without beating around the bush
Dad didn’t answered immediately. He was looking at me with an unfathomable expression. Then, a smile broke out on his face. It was not his usual business smile which could fool even the deities. But rather it was a chilling smile,
“Don’t underestimate my network channels” he said simply
“Then why didn’t you inform me? Why did you go to meet Twen?” I asked clenching my fist
“My son secretly decided to start a family, and I can’t secretly meet them?” dad asked revealing that chilling smile again
“If you know everything then I shall be frank. I want to marry Tony” I said, sincerely.
Dad slowly raised his eye brow and looked me straight in the face. Then, a very sinister smile spread across his face.
“This house will never have a male wife” he said slowly pausing after every word, “As this family’s heir, you should put the family’s reputation first”
“If so dad, then I abdicate my position as the heir of Walker family” I said, turning around with determined step and starting to walk towards the door as I heard my dad speak, in a low but clear voice from behind me,
“Then I think that this old man has to find another heir to replace you, someone with Walker’s blood running through them”
My feet froze at the threshold of the door. I realised with shock what he meant. I turned around to look at dad who was leaning back on his chair, a knowing smile playing on his lips.
I stared at him, gritting my teeth, “You cannot take Twen’s custody”
He smiled a very malevolent smile, “Lawyer Mark told me that it is a bit difficult to obtain custody of a child from an unmarried couple but it could be settled out of the court”
“Tony would NEVER agree to it” I almost screamed
“Even if it promises better future for his dearest son? Or do you think that he can fight against me legally? What status and power does a filthy little Omega even have to go against me, the Chairman of Exquisite Hotel chain?” Dad said raising his eyebrow
Dad had played his card well. Omegas are treated like garbage in this world. Even if they do have money, it would be almost impossible for him to find a decent lawyer. Even if he doesn’t want to agree, he will be forced to. Since, I want to abdicate my title as the heir, the lawyers might turn their nose against me. That’s the world we live in. Only power and money rules supreme.
“I am going to marry him and going to provide both of them with a better future. He doesn’t have to…”
“That’s even better. Getting the custody during divorce would be even easier and even cost me less” Dad said snickering
“I would never divorce Tony” I said in a bone chillingly cold voice
Dad’s smile got even wider, “Son, you have shown your complete hand to me. You might not for this old man but you will for my wife aka your mother. Don’t test my patience! I have all your pawns in my palms”
I gritted my teeth so hard that I felt my jaw might crack. Was he really my dad or some demon from hell? He was blackmailing me and challenging me openly. He knew all my weakness. I suddenly felt completely helpless. I glared at him darkly but dad had not finished,
“I can compromise. Marry Sarah and I will allow you to keep that Omega as your mistress”
