Memories Of Us - Chapter 10 Vacation 1

“Why don’t we go to this place tomorrow?” Charles showed Sienna a picture of a beautiful beach from his social media account.

“Eh? What’s with you suddenly?” Sienna looked at Charles with suspicious eyes, though she looked at the picture with her eyes shining. She actually really wanted to go to a lot of places and travel around the world. Because she ‘never went anywhere else but Charles’s house and the hospital’. She even felt jealous of “herself”, as she used to travel around the world based on what she saw on the photo albums -she used to saw herself as ‘stranger’ every time she saw her pictures, though it got better now.

“I just want to spend more time with you,” Charles answered without looking at Sienna’s suspicious eyes. He was too busy scrolling through the posts from his social media.

“What is this place?”

“It’s Grace Bay, around 4 hours flight from here. It was your favorite beach, we went there so many times that I had to buy a villa there for convenience sake. What do you think? Oh, and maybe it could trigger some memories back if we go there?”

Sienna thought for a while before she agreed: “Okay, let’s go. I am about to die of boredom here. But, what about your work?”

“Hmm? I’m the one who owns the company, who would dare to prevent me from taking a vacation with my fiance? I’ll just tell my secretary to handle everything.”

“Wha… but yesterday… You…” Sienna didn’t finish her words and squinted her eyes.

“Hahaha, I just wanted to tease you a bit because you looked cute. I’ll tell Mr. Lee to prepare everything. You can just pack your clothes,” Charles said while ruffling Sienna’s hair. Sienna felt a little speechless by Charles words, but she nodded her head without knowing that a smile already crept on her face.

“Heh. You look excited. This is the first time I see you smile like this in weeks.”

“How could I smile if I can’t even remember my own name?”

“You will remember everything sooner or later.”

“Mmm… I hope so.”

“Cough… Anyway, err… anything you can remember?” Because the atmosphere suddenly turned awkward, Charles tried to change the topic a little.

Sienna hesitated a little. She remembered that dream, but she didn’t know if it was her memory or simply a nightmare. “I.. I’m not sure if this is just a dream or my memory. Yesterday I dreamt about a few men that want to do something bad to me. I don’t know them but I felt like I recognized their voices.”

Charles furrowed his brows. “Kidnapping? I never heard about this. Did it happen before we met? Are you sure it was not just a dream?”

“I don’t know… But it felt so real it scared me so much just by thinking about it..”

Seeing that Sienna’s hands were shaking a little, Charles simply threw Sienna into his embrace. “Don’t worry, it won’t ever happen to you as long as I am here,” he whispered.

“Mmm…” Sienna only replied with a mumble. She felt comforted a little and her hands stop shaking.

“Sorry I was too busy with my work for the past two weeks because it was a really important project, but now I’ll try to help you as much as I can.”

“Okay.” This time Sienna gave a short reply. She felt that the atmosphere turned a bit weird so she pushed Charles away. “Errr, now could you please get out? I need to prepare my things.”

“You know, just tell the maid to do it. I want to stay here longer.” Charles frowned because he felt that it was such a good moment.

“No, I’ll take care of it myself,” Sienna said firmly. She didn’t feel comfortable letting people touch her things.

“Haha, I see that you still like to arrange things on your own after all. Okay then.. we would go for a week, but don’t bring too many things, we could just buy them later. It would be too troublesome. Just bring a few necessities. Alright, I’ll let you know when everything is ready,” Charles got up and stroked Sienna’s hair before he went out to tell Mr. Lee to arrange everything.

‘Why does he like to mess with my hair so much?’ Sienna could only shake her head.

Sienna spent an hour to pack the things that she probably needs later. She didn’t pack much because Charles told her they can just buy everything later.

“Sienna, I bought the tickets. We are lucky to get the tickets and we will fly today. Let’s eat our lunch first before we go.” Charles came in looking ready to go. He wore a simple white shirt with black chino pants, yet looking absolutely charming.

“What? That fast?” Sienna was so shocked by Charles decisiveness.

“You aren’t ready yet? Why don’t you take a bath first? We’ll eat at the airport later so we won’t be late. Where are the things that you will bring? I’ll tell Mr. Lee to put them on the trunk first,” he said before calling Mr. Lee with the intercom.

Sienna was dumbfounded by the sudden event but she still went to the bathroom to get ready as soon as possible. She was so much in a hurry that she almost slipped after coming out of the bathroom.

“Careful there,” Charles leisurely said while reading a magazine he got from the bookshelf.

“Why are you still here?” Sienna asked while walking a little fast to her closet room because she was only wearing a towel.

“Where would I be then? Of course I’m waiting for you here. And you don’t need to be shy to your fianc, walk slowly so you don’t trip again,” Charles said with a serious tone that Sienna almost trip again.

Sienna finished her preparation in less than 30 minutes. They went to the airport right away because it was a bit far from Charles’s house. It took them around one hour to get there. Sienna felt a little dizzy when she saw so many people at the airport. She was too used to the calm environment in Charles’s house. They checked-in quickly and waited in the quiet VIP lounge before boarding the plane to Providenciales International Airport.
