Microtech: Academy Of Idiots - Volume 1 Chapter 60 What Should We Do?
What Should We Do?
Gib and his father were sitting in a dark room. There was only one source of light; it was the farthermost place which is where his father could hide him for the time being.
“If he woke up and told the name of the culprit, you will be sued in the court while I will lose my reputation and job. That Long Bo has already gone somewhere, and he wouldn’t meddle in the matter,” his father spoke out his concerns.
“The academy and the administration are currently busy with the exams, but as soon as they avert their attention to the unsolved matters, they would investigate it.”
“Dad, Long Bo promised me to work in collaboration with him to get rid of our enemy. Why would he turn his face at this time?” This Gib was from a different place where once people promised something; they would not go back on their words.
The Gib of this world was a young teen; though he bears a grudge against Lui, it was all to compete with him in studies and not actual enmity. But the turns of events has created a deep animosity and now he was reluctant to give up.
“You’re too young to understand how sharp the minds of businessmen work. If he openly showed his enmity, worked against MicroTech and helped the enemies to bring about the fall of Mu Ten, then he would be losing too.”
“He is running an academy as well as an established business so, he can’t afford to lose a friend like you. But can never bet on his reputation and assets” he revealed as he patted the shoulders of his young son.
Gib was a little surprised. He was confident that Long Bo wouldn’t leave him and would help him out of this situation. He thought it would be the same just like the incident where Long Bo sent his private plane to be cleared from the temporary base where he had confined Lui for a whole week.
“You’re nave. He wasn’t helping you; Long Bo only wanted to save his face. If you had been caught by security, they would have thoroughly investigated you, and you might have spoken his name in front of the court. So the one time he helped you, Long Bo was saving himself. Since he had helped you, now you wouldn’t tell his name no matter what in return for his favour, so this is the real motive behind his action,” his father explained him.
“Then I will go and see Lui in the hospital,” Gib gritted his teeth in anger.
“Are you mad? As soon as security knows of your presence, they will immediately hand you over to the police,” his father informed him with a concerned look.
It was insane to meet Lui in this crucial time. The personal security of the Academy was continually guarding the hospital; it would be an unequal move to throw himself in front of the hungry lion.
“I know Lui very well; he is crooked when someone challenges him. Even if he had concrete proof against me, he would not give it to police because Lui has a weakness,” Gib announced for he was not in the mood to get dejected with few failures.
At the start of his enmity, he had thought out all the possible outcomes.
“I aim to trap Lui in his intelligence. He thinks that he would send her back and then get cleared of any doubt. I will make sure that he sends her back himself” he squinted his eyes as though thinking something vicious in his mind as he uttered the words.
“Whatever you do, keep in mind that the academy wouldn’t give you another chance and neglect your past mistakes,” his father uttered and stood up to leave.
He thought that his son wanted to trap or frame Lui to get back his academic seat in MicroTech Academy, which was impossible in his opinion.
The Academy did not enrol students with shabby backgrounds or notorious reputations. Mu Ten has rejected several applications of affluent students just because of the rules of the Academy.
And second chance? One should forget any second chance after the Academy expels one for breaking the rules not even if it was some genius.
And Gib knew this. If the Academy cannot give him a second chance, then he would make sure that a certain genius would also be expelled for breaking the rules.
There was no way that Lui could change the identity of the girl; he can’t keep her for long. The only choice would be to send her back.
The MicroTech has banned any admission regarding the lost district. Lui was not aware of it, when he told Hyal that he would admit her into the Academy and she could study there. She was sure that this Lui didn’t have complete knowledge of the academy rules.
Hyal insisted to her medics that she wanted to sit appropriately; she was tired of being positioned at either side because her back was burnt with an unknown acid.
It’s been more than a week, and no one had come to visit her. Whenever she asked the female doctor, she was told that students were busy with their exams. She was a little dejected because Lui also did not come to see her; usually, he comes after every second day and spends most of his time here talking about various happenings in the Academy. He also spoke about his friends, and thus, her day passed without a feeling of pain in her wounds. All because of Lui’s company.
She thought that she was a burden for him. As soon as she can walk on her own, she would go back to her district and never return. It would save Lui from future troubles too.
“I’m not allowed to tell you this, but seeing you dejected is also not a choice for me. Lui is in the hospital; that’s why he did not come to see you. He also missed his exams and is currently in intensive care,” the female doctor informed her as she was well aware of how Lui used to visit her, and they chatted for long.
Her disappointment had resulted in her slow recovery; that’s why her doctor shared this news.
