MicroTech: Reincarnation - Chapter 16:Victim No 4
He read the reminder of the digital library and looked around bewildered.
Indeed, it was valid reaction.
‘What it meant by the way?’ he was confused.
‘What victim?’ his face got twisted to read the reminder again.
“Don’t tell me previous owner of the body run some shaddy business in the dark, cough,?” he was talking to himself now.
He was still curious.
The matter was of curiosity too.
“Should I search the whole house?” he asked himself.
‘Why I am talking to myself even?’ he shook his head.
After thinking it thoroughly, he spoke, “I think I should do a thorough search,” he stood up
Under the couch, behind the mirror wall and curtains, beneath the table, opened and shut the windows but he could not find anything unusual there.
‘Where could be the victim no 4?’ he was tired and sat again on the comfy sofa.
He again opened the library interface.
He read again and again the reminder message.
He turned whole house upside down yet he could not find the aforementioned victim no 4.
Sigh!
‘Its time to sleep,’ he smoothed on the comfy sofa and closed his eyes.
After some time he opened his eyes.
“What if someone died?” he stood up.
He remembered that he did not search the lab.
He unlocked the lab and entered in.
There was the machine that he saw the very first day and it probably was got destroyed on the same day in his presence and he not sure how it suddenly blasted.
The lab was very complicated for his experience.
It was not like digital library in which you just have to open the interface then ask whatever you wanted to ask and it would speak the answers for you.
There were random wires, some monitoring screens which were turned off due to self control, since no one used them for any input so the monitors turned off after particular time.
There was also a black iron door which was tightly closed.
He tried to open it but he was not able to.
‘Is there any key for opening this door?’ he muttered.
The door bell of his house rang out.
He came out and after looking through the mirror hole he opened it, Lie Mei was there.
“What bothered you at this hour of the night?” he was little displeased.
“Why are this rude? I heard some hustle from your house so I came to ask,” she almost pushed him aside and what she saw all the commodities of the house were turned upside down, she looked at Lui, she wanted to scream first but she know it was night.
Though the walls were sound proof but it would be rude by her side.
“I was looking for something, ah yes I lost key to one of the locks,” he came up in hurry whatever he could excuse and grinned.
“I see, but you should look in the morning, now its time for sleep, right,?”
“Yes, you are right, now go so that I could sleep,” he was like just happened to be too much sleepy.
Lie Mei furrowed her brows but went out silently and he immediately shut the door with a bang.
She thought to help him in the morning in finding his key.
The time was coming short, every passed hour the library would bell the reminder.
23 hours are left..
.
.
.
20 hours are left…
And so on.
He placed his hand on the metallic door carefully and tried to feel any hidden lock in his disappointment.
His finger tips by chance met the auto detect sensors of the door.
“The genius Lui is asked to provide the door code in order to unlock it,” a mechanical voice lifted up his low moral.
The lifted morale fell in the deep pit when he though that he have no shitty door code.
“Where the hell is this door code now?” he was now truly frustrated.
He supported his head against the metallic door, he was tired now.
His body was aching due to continuous search from previous six hours.
There was board with several switch buttons or what he thought about, an interface of some hardware.
He cannot switch them carelessly because he understand little bit of these creepy things.
He thought that if he went back in his previous world he would learn diligently so that he would never end up such place ever.
He closed his eyes and randomly switch a button.
There was no reaction.
“Genius Lui since you prefer a face scan for the door unlock, you are requested to stand in front of the door,” he quickly jumped in front of the door, he was madly happy.
What need a thirsty Crow, of course water.
His face was scan and the door started to open by itself.
“Is there another blast already?” he was confused again.
“Is he late? but the reminder says differently, right?” he took deep breathe.
He decided to enter inside the room, half dispirited.
There was some kind of smoke which did not hurt his breathe nor his eyes.
After few minutes he was able to see through the smoke, he did not know how?
There were lit up monitoring screens, and a large number of numerical data was continually in stream.
While few screens were showing some heart beat pulses along with the other biological signs which represent breathing life.
He walked further.
It was untill now he understood that this hidden lab was under a conditioned atmosphere or artificial climate.
Or type of..
At the center of the lab, he saw a liquid tank but it was not filled entirly with any liquid instead it was filled with different gases but he saw something like a human in there.
There were many water drops stick to the tank.
The monitoring screen which he saw were monitoring this human indeed.
Many wires were around the figure, breathing mask was also in working. There were several wire caps which were stick to the body.
The oxygen level was dropping.
The remaining oxygen was not enough for a proper breathing.
The human figure inhaled deep breathe and the body shiver with the revelation that the oxygen was near to end.
Though it was not pure oxygen but the human was contented.
Lui touched the liquid tank.
The human figure moved a bit and tried to reach him with some tortuous expressions engraved on the face.
Lui shuddered and shrank back.
It was a girl, her bare skin seemed to tear apart any moment and it seemed she was pleading for the remaining life.
She was only wearing a metallic sheet from the chest to down hip.
