Miracle Card Shop: All My Cards Can Be Actualize - Chapter 310 Reiko
Chapter 310 Reiko
?Observing this, Daniel decided to moderately exploit it, careful not to overuse it. He didn’t want to push the limits and risk breaking the fabric of reality, leaving his convenient trump card in need of maintenance, similar to the incident when he accidentally damaged it by repeatedly actualizing characters from legends and mythology.
Based on the information he received from the keeper, breaking the reality fabric could lead to catastrophic consequences, and that will be a major pain in the ass for him to clean up.
“What’s your name?” Daniel asked, speaking in English.
“My name is Reiko. Fujiwara Reiko, is my full name. My lord,” said the woman spirit.
“Wait… I remember that I spoke all of it in English. You can speak English?” Daniel inquired.
“Yes, my lord. When I was alive, I was trained to become a wife of a daimyo or shogun. Since my family didn’t need me to only be a beautiful vase for the daimyo or shogun, they trained me to be able to understand the language of the most influential foreigners during the time when I was alive. I am well-versed in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch,” Reiko answered.
“That’s good. Then you can follow me, make sure no one notices you, okay?” Daniel accepted the woman spirit’s proposal.
“With pleasure, my lord. May I reside in your blade or your choice of weapon? That way, I can conceal myself even better, as your weapon has drunk many people’s blood and it will completely conceal my trace from the eyes of others, even if they are supernatural beings. They will not notice me,” Reiko said with a faint trace of her noble and confident smile.
“How about this one?” Daniel showed Reiko the blade that he usually uses when he comes into melee contact with his enemies.
The blade was a double-edged one, with the same length as a short blessed blade used by Christopher Ward.
“That’s perfect, my lord,” Reiko said with a nod. She then slowly walked toward the blade and gently touched it with her hand. Suddenly, a bright light shone as she vanished.
[My lord, can you hear me?] Daniel then heard her voice within his mind, making him uncomfortable as he had many secrets, and having someone who could read his mind would be a risky move.
[My lord seems tense… Please rest assured, my lord. This is just a telepathic message; I can’t read your mind. The only message I’ll hear is the one that you infuse your mana along with the intent to talk to me.] Reiko reassured Daniel.
[I see…] Daniel nodded and tried using telepathic messages toward Reiko, who resided in his blade.
[Let me test if you can read my mind or not. Reiko, you are a hag, an old hag, a hundred years old lady! A super duper old hag!] Daniel thought rudely within his mind while diverting his attention elsewhere.
[Huh? Strange… Why am I suddenly getting angry for no reason?] Reiko, of course, didn’t hear what Daniel thought, but the sudden anger she felt was very peculiar.
She tried to think of a reason but couldn’t find one and then she dropped it, considering it a normal occurrence since she spent a very long time as a vengeful spirit. This sudden relapse of anger should be normal, right?
— Meanwhile – Gluttony Sushi Bar —
Within the vast expanse of an artificial space constructed by immense magical power, every decoration, seat, piece of furniture, and even the sushi bar remained unchanged. However, the space in front of the sushi counter, before it reached toward the exit, expanded to the size of a football field.
This will ensure that even during intense battles, none of the sushi bar elements will be damaged, aside from the floor, of course. However, the floor has been enchanted with strengthening spells hundreds of times, making it even more resistant to damage.
Pride was currently chained up, hanging from the high ceiling, dangling and swaying like a worm trapped within a spider cocoon. Her face was red with anger as Gluttony’s Sanctum Sanctorum had reduced all her power to the limit. She was quickly captured and interrogated while her face was written on by a magic pen.
“Come on! Tell me already, who is he? What’s his profession? Where did you meet?” Gluttony asked mischievously with a smile.
“Gu… grrr! Release me! Or else!” Pride didn’t answer, her face red in embarrassment. She shouldn’t have let Gluttony know that she came with a man.
This was Pride’s mistake. Among the seven witches, Lust and Gluttony were two of the most nosy when it came to other people’s love lives. Lust was driven by her aspect of sin, but Gluttony was purely just being nosy.
“You seem really interested in him this time. Even more so than with Cyrus when your father tried to matchmake you with him. Back then, I even knew that you faked your interest in him because of your father. But this time? Your interest seems to mix with…” Gluttony said, trying to sense the change in Pride’s body language, expression, and even her heart rate. She looked straight into Pride’s eyes, who desperately wanted to find a hole to hide but couldn’t.
“Hmmmm…. care… among the gratitude, you seem to genuinely care for him. Is it because he helped you when you were in a pinch or something?” Gluttony probed once again.
And it was very effective! Pride’s face went all tomato red, her expression mixed with embarrassment and shame, her heart rate increasing despite her attempts to conceal it.
“God… damn… Pride is genuinely falling in love with a man! This is unbelievable…” Gluttony uttered in disbelief. But then she felt like something was amiss. The power that kept her Sanctum Sanctorum suddenly vanished, and her Sanctum Sanctorum lost its power rapidly.
“Shit!” Gluttony was in a pinch now. But before she could release Pride and diffuse the situation, the sound of broken chains made her quickly reposition herself away from Pride.
Clank!!!
Pride was now free, as most of the power from the Sanctum Sanctorum went into the chain that sealed Pride. The power that served as the Sanctum Sanctorum’s main power source had suddenly vanished, and the chain couldn’t be maintained.
“Er… Pride… let’s… er… talk it out, shall we?” Gluttony tried to diffuse the situation, but the moment she witnessed Pride with her rage-filled eyes, she quickly stopped and immediately retreated even further.
“Gluttonyyyyyyyyy!” Pride roared in anger as her magical power surged and rushed toward Gluttony.
“Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shiiitttttttttt! Holy shitttttttttt!” Gluttony screamed and quickly retreated at full speed. She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She had just teased Pride a little bit, but now it had turned into a battle to the death!?
“Hey! Don’t be angry like that! It’s just a friendly prank! Friendly! You hear me!?” Gluttony shouted back.
Boom! Clank! Clash!!
“Eeeeeeeeeekkkk!!!!” Gluttony quickly evaded with all of her might.
In response, Gluttony faced various magical bombardments from Pride—hundreds of magic missiles, several ice spears the size of pillars, and various magical bombardment spells. Gluttony skillfully evaded them all, retreating toward the sushi bar.
“Where do you think you’re going!?” Pride roared once again, following Gluttony and quickly closing the distance.
[Shit! It can’t be helped, I need to bet on it.] Gluttony thought and quickly undid the power of her Sanctum Sanctorum.
The sudden change startled Pride, and she quickly canceled all of her prepared magic that she was going to bombard Gluttony with. By now, Gluttony had already hidden behind the sushi counter, much to Pride’s annoyance. She couldn’t just bomb and destroy the entire shop. N♡vεlB¡n: A Haven for Bookworms and Dreamers.
Seeing this, Gluttony knew that her plan worked. Pride might look like a prideful individual, but she’s a big softie inside. Pride knew that if she threw a tantrum with all of her magic right now, she might blow up the entire building.
“Ohhhhh, that’s right, good girl. Turn back. It’s not good for you to be upset and suddenly blow up the building. He’s in this building too, am I right?” Gluttony spoke with a bit of mischief in her voice as she sent a winking smiley to Pride, who wanted to blow up the damn building to prove otherwise, but she really couldn’t!
“Grrrrrrr…. Hmph!” Pride canceled all of her hostility and sat down on the seat at the sushi counter.
“Make me some sushi! He wants to eat out!” Pride ordered, reluctantly, but she would hold it in for now. After Daniel left, she would blow up this shitty building, consequences be damned!
“My pleasure. Wait a moment, okay?” Gluttony quickly went to work.
This time, she went all out with her sushi. All of her skills poured into creating a large set of sushi, transforming it not just into food but into art. Various colors of fresh fish and seafood she could get her hands on were arranged artistically within the gilded black wooden box she had prepared specifically for a rare VIP guest.
With Gluttony’s various knife techniques and skills displayed on this sushi box, it managed to captivate Pride, who was watching in front of the counter. This spectacle temporarily made Pride forget her anger.
