Miss Ordinary: I Was Reborn To Love You! - Chapter 60
I’m in a dream, right?
Bella Lim tried to open her eyes, however, no matter the times she tried, her eyelid wouldn’t allow a speck of light to go pass her cornea. Even so, watching the void in front of her made her feel better. At least, she was looking at something.
Bella Lim tried to move her limbs, but her body seemed to be paralyzed, she could feel nothing.
Usually, she would panic in this situation, but something caught her attention. The void in front of her had colorized into an animated art which eventually turned to a black and white movie. It was a movie about a young girl standing outside an old warehouse in the middle of nowhere. Her sapphire blue eyes looked determined as she ran towards the dark forest that surrounded the warehouse. Her short curly hair danced alongside the wind.
The movie was fast-forwarded as the scene of the young girl’s running, stumbling and running again became the focus. Bella Lim could feel the gravity in the young girl’s recklessness. Her battered state made watching a painful experience. She internally exhaled when the girl entered a more civilized area. It was a small, run-down town. Old newspapers scattered everywhere and the billboards at the roadside were broken into half. It was already night and only a few street lights were working.
How young was she? Bella Lim’s curiosity was piqued. The young girl was small in physique, but something about her was disturbing. It frightened the sole spectator of the scene. Perhaps, something horrible had happened to her when she was in the warehouse which made her personality as such. Bella Lim deducted.
Once again, the scene was fast-forwarded to an event where the young girl stole a motorbike from one of the houses in the town. The barking dog gave a suspenseful vibe as Bella Lim feared that the owner would anytime come out of the house. Surprisingly, the young girl accomplished her task in a matter of time. Bella Lim was frightened. What kind of girl knew how to stole a motorbike? Definitely not a normal one.
The young girl rode the motorbike with exceptional skills. When she entered the highway, she spread her arms, as if enjoying the freedom. A smile could be seen on her pale face.
Yet, like a typical thrilling movie, happiness was short given. The moment the young girl entered a tunnel, she realized that a car was trailing her from behind. When she looked around, her tranquil face became horrified. She frantically increased her speed to get rid of the car that was chasing her.
Bella Lim who was watching could feel her heartbeat getting faster. Bizarrely, her heartbeat wasn’t the normal anxiety she felt from sympathizing for the girl, instead, it felt like she was the one being chase after. Suddenly, the feeling of extreme fear engulfed her mind.
In that instant, she was no longer a watcher. She was her. She was the young girl in the movie she was watching earlier. Bella Lim shivered, coldness came in two different sources; the night chill plus the cold fear that invaded the mind of the young girl. Her.
What happened?
Why was I pulled into this?
Let me wake up… please…
Plea after plea echoed in Bella Lim’s mind. She had no idea why she was suffering in the place of the young girl. Still, she tried to carry out the task to get the young girl to safety. Alas, the motorbike wasn’t capable of doing so. It didn’t take long for the car to overtake her.
Bella Lim flinched when she realized that the car suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. She could only turn the handle in another direction to avoid clashing with the car. However, the result was still the same albeit worst. A sickening feeling rose within her.
She thought she could avoid an accident. Yet, after the turned, the front wheel lost grip. Instantly, the motorbike flipped to the left side and she fell down. Everything happened so fast. Bella Lim found herself together with the motorbike tumbling on the road before the law of physics sled them towards a concrete at the roadside. Without a helmet, Bella Lim could feel the injury all over her head. The smell of fresh blood insulted her nose. Her eyes were not able to sustain the pressure of ȧssessing the condition she was in.
Now she knew why she was pulled into the whole scene.
This was her past life. The incident that happened after her parents died. However, why was it different? Many details didn’t match the memories she had.
Bella Lim wanted to think, but she could feel her vision fading. Before she lost consciousness, she heard the man spoke. A sentence that was missing from her memories.
“Hahaha! the 13th Master would be pleased to know that this girl is dead,”

Hillside Villa
“Zayn, what happened?” Eric Wu asked as soon as he entered Bella Lim’s, not room. Trailing behind him was little pumpkin who looked anxious.
Zayn Wu, the doctor exclusive for the Master of the Wu clan took a deep breath as he motioned towards the monitor that showed Bella Lim’s vitality. Nothing abnormal could be derived from the signal it was showing. Seeing this, Eric Wu frowned.
“Master, are you sure she fainted from shock?” Zayn Wu asked. His voice was calm yet his face was showing otherwise.
“She is,” Eric Wu replied as he walked towards Bella Lim who was lying on the bed, unconscious. A smile on his face when he recalled the incident in the boat. He meant to ask the question half as a joke, half curious. Little did he knew it would affect her so much to the point of fainting. At first, he was so scared, but when Zayn gave his diagnose, he was relieved that she was perfectly fine. Except for her left ankle which now fully attended to.
“Why is she still unconscious?” his declining voice sounded harsh as he looked at Zayn Wu. Just now he was accompanying little pumpkin who was worried about his big sister when Tao suddenly called for him, informing that Zayn Wu requested his presence inside the room. He rushed in, thinking that Bella Lim was already awake.
“Master, this is my concern. Her vitality is perfectly fine but it seems that she refuses to wake up or something is preventing her from waking up,” Zayn Wu explained. Beads of sweat were formed on his forehead. Some slid to his sideburns as he waited for Eric Wu to speak.
He could tell that he would be scolded at. However, who was this woman for the Master to take care of her? He, the mighty doctor exclusive to the Master was actually the one doing the check-up? How degrading. Zayn Wu internal demons flared up as he took a glance at Bella Lim.
Why was this woman still unconscious? Was she pretending? Heh, she must be trying to get the Master’s attention.
“Zayn, are you sure nothing was amiss?” Eric Wu spoke as he turned to face Zayn Wu. He held little pumpkin’s hand who was anxiously looking at Zayn Wu.
“Master, I’ve served under you for five years. Please trust my judgment,” Zayn Wu lowered his head as he spoke in a low voice. He could tell from the tone the Master was speaking that he was angry. The Master was angry at him over a woman with an unknown background? Why oh why! His monologue intensified.
“Zayn-”
Beep-beep-beep-beep!
The beeping sound coming from the health monitor disturbed the conversation that was ongoing in the room. Eric Wu noticed that the green line on the monitor was creating unstable waves.
“Zayn!” he sternly called for the man who was standing at the end of the bed, staring at the monitor in a slack manner. Eric Wu was furious, but thinking that the situation wasn’t suitable for a fit of anger, he held himself.
“Big brother Eric, look at big sis!” little pumpkin pointed towards the bed. There, Bella Lim was seen struggling. Her eyelids were moving aimlessly. She looked like she was having a bad dream.
“Master, I’m going to give her a calming shot,” Zayn Wu declared as his hand was preparing for the injection.
Eric Wu frowned. “No need!” he rejected. He sat on the chair beside the bed and held Bella Lim’s right hand as he ċȧrėssed it gently. Little pumpkin stared at him in silent wonderment. He moved to the other side of the bed and held Bella Lim’s other hand.
Zayn Wu’s eyes almost bulged in surprise. The Master was actually holding the woman’s hand? What witchery did the woman use to deserve the skinship? Never once had he seen the Master initiated a body contact!
This woman, even if he hated her, she was without a doubt, amazing.
Zayn Wu didn’t realize that she began to admire Bella Lim.
Eric Wu anxiously waited by the bedside. His hands were still holding Bella Lim’s hand. “Fight for it!” he whispered to her ears. He didn’t know why, but he believed she needed to go through this without the influence of medicine. As if this would free her from the boundary that was binding her.
Time passed by and Bella Lim’s struggle receded to calmness with only a frown left on her forehead. Eric Wu gently wiped the sweats that drenched Bella Lim’s wavy hair as he took a deep breath of relief. He didn’t understand why, but he was certain that she was fine now.
Eric Wu rose from the chair and leaned forward so he could wipe her forehead better. Underneath his sight was Bella Lim’s serene face. He stared at the face which day by day resembled the woman in his dream.
“Wake up,” his breathy voice was desperate to see her beautiful blue eyes. All of a sudden, as if listening to his request, Bella Lim’s eyelids moved around. Soon, her clear blue eyes were revealed.
Eric Wu was stunned.
Something was different with her eyes. It was no longer timid and hesitant like before. Right now, she was looking at him without reserved, unabashed.
“Eric Wu, did you or did you not save a girl in Kastache six years ago?”
Eric Wu frowned. Her question was sudden and caught him off guard. However, he could relate to the question right away.
“Yes,” he admitted.
