MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith - Chapter 1127 Azure Blade?
1127 Azure Blade?
In less than a blink of an eye, a large mass of earth was sent flying into the air by the meteor, causing many of the groups that weren’t initially affected by the attack to immediately abandon their comrades as they ran for their lives.
Naturally, many of the orcs they were fighting against also had the same thoughts as them, not wanting to be affected by the aftermath of the attack Valyr unleashed.
However, unlike the humans, some of the orcs made use of the opportunity caused by the meteor to land a couple of attacks on some of the humans that were near them.
Unfortunately for them, before they could even swing their weapons against the vital parts of their foes, Valyr was already one step ahead of them.
Whoosh!
Conjuring a multi-layered barrier around him, the young man assured his safety amidst the aftermath of the meteor as he sent out bolts of Prime Azure Energy towards the orcs who wanted to take advantage of the situation.
At the same time, he pushed his control over the braid of mana and Mystic Energy even further, expanding its range to pin more orcs to their places.
“Grghh… grwxhsaah!” Immediately realizing that their efforts to run away from the aftermath was render futile by the young man that started it all, many of the orcs that fell victim to Valyr’s field began to throw profanities at him.
Sadly for them, Valyr turned a deaf ear to all of these profanities due to the language barrier, instead focusing his attention on all of the humans that had yet to escape from the range of the meteor’s aftermath.
Bang!
Thankfully, by the time the large mass of earth had fallen to the ground once more, almost every human still within the range of the aftermath more or less had the capabilities to defend themselves.
As for the orcs that were pinned in place, a small portion of them were also able to survive the aftermath, relying on a mix of their stats and their defensive skills in order to do so.
However, for the vast majority of the orcs affected by Valyr’s field, they had ultimately succumbed to the might of the aftermath, just like how the orc leader had succumbed to the might of the meteor.
“Speaking of the orc leader…” After making sure that it was safe to move once more, the young man swiftly returned to the epicenter of the attack, hoping that there was still a part or two from the orc leader that remained intact.
Though, after arriving where the orc leader previously stood, Valyr immediately let out laughter filled with self-ridicule as he was greeted by the sight of a large crater covered in orc blood.
22:40
“…Man.” Seeing as the bodies of the orcs that succumbed to the meteor had turned into one massive field of blood and chunks, Valyr let out a low sigh as he faintly shook his head.
“Should’ve gone with the smallest size if I knew it was this overbearing.”
Whoosh!
With none of the orc leader’s body remaining intact, the young man immediately set his sights on another part of the battlefield, swiftly crossing the distance in just a couple of minutes.
Considering how massive Valyr’s attack was, it went without saying that all of the orcs and humans had their eyes on him, with almost all of them looking at immense fear.
After all, the attack he unleashed earlier had already gone beyond the realm of what was considered possible for humans.
If anything, the combat power he unleashed was already at the level that only Legends could achieve.
With that, the orcs had surprisingly come to a decision to sacrifice one of their own for the benefit of many, pushing an orc leader that had accepted its fate towards the young man. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
“Grmm… gr-shh…” Listening to the faint words that came out of the orc leader that appeared in front of him, Valyr sensed the underlying tone beneath its words as he took a brief look at his surroundings.
Noticing the expressions and body language of most of the orcs surrounding him at that moment, it did not take long for him to understand what was going on, causing him to let out yet another sigh as he nodded in response.
Whoosh!
Without hesitation, he sent a bolt of Prime Azure Energy towards the orc leader’s head, which the latter unexpectedly met with a content smile as it slowly closed its eyes.
Bang!
Staring at the orc leader that did not hesitate to sacrifice its own life for the sake of its comrades, Valyr swiftly cut off the part he needed for the mission before giving a bow of respect to it.
Then, amidst the silence surrounding both him and the decapitated orc leader, Valyr eventually turned around and made his way out of the battlefield, causing all of the people that witnessed his strength to fight with greater fervor.
“…” Arriving in front of both Hal and Vera a few minutes later, the young man adorned a solemn expression as he briefly thought back to the orc leader that showed him a glimpse of the battlefield’s selflessness.
Letting out a low sigh after that, he then pushed all of his thoughts to the side as he looked at the two with a faint smile. “Now that you’ve seen me fight against an orc leader… who among the three of us has grown the most since leaving the inheritance?”
Hearing the question that left Valyr’s mouth, both Hal and Vera looked at each other for a bit before looking back at the young man with a wry smile.
“To be honest, I thought it was going to be Vera at first,” said Hal. “After all, if you compare her strength now to back then, she wouldn’t have the means to fight against a peak Rank 5 orc on her own, much less hold down a lot more Rank 5 orcs after that.”
“But after seeing you fight against that orc leader…” At those words, Hal let out a resigned sigh. “How would we even compare to that?”
As Valyr bitterly smiled at Hal’s words, Vera said something to him that piqued his interest. “With what you showed in the battlefield just now, I’m sure the people will come up with a new nickname for you sooner or later.”
“Oh, definitely.” Hal nodded in agreement as the three of them decided to head back to the barracks. “After all, in what way would that be called an Azure Blade?”
“If you were to ask me, that’s a thing someone probably called Azure Catastrophe would do!”
“Azure Catastrophe…” murmured Valyr to himself, only for his eyes to glisten with excitement soon after.
“Huh. That actually doesn’t sound half bad.”
