Mobile Magical Girl Corporation Lulurun: Even If I’ve Become A Magical Girl, I Will Definitely Start My Own Business In Another World - CH 29
“There’s trouble afoot,” Lulurun said.
The busyness of the lunch rush had passed, and now on break, Lulurun looked worried with her arms folded over her chest and going “Mmn.”
She was so troubled, her brows were furrowed and almost curling into each other.
“Did something happen, Ms. Lulurun?” Syll called out to the beautiful young lady with a troubled face.
“It’s been a month since I started working here, and now I’m able to understand how this city works,” Lulurun said.
“Uh-huh,” Syll went.
“I have a dream I want to achieve,” Lulurun said.
“Uh-huh.”
“I’ve started a new job and began making money,” Lulurun said.
“Uh-huh.”
“So, this ‘Anything Shop’ that I’m trying to start,” Lulurun said.
“What about it?” Syll asked.
“I found out it already exists in this city,” Lulurun said.
“Ooh?” Syll goes, continuing to listen and nod. She doesn’t seem to understand what’s wrong.
“Why is it a problem if something like that exists?” Syll asked.
“The thing is,” Lulurun said, “Big Bro Cain said there should only be one such shop in the city, it’s a matter of life and death if there’s a rival company in the same industry as yours, so rather than jump into a red ocean with blood already in the water, it’s better to jump into a blue ocean that’s still clear.”
“Red ocean?” Syll asked.
“If you want to start a business, best do something no one else is doing,” Lulurun said.
“Then, Ms. Lulurun, you wanted to start a store?” Syll asked.
In contrast to Lulurun’s seriousness, Syll was very interested in Lulurun’s attempt to start a store.
“Yes, I’m going to build the best store in the city to solve everyone’s problems! That’s my immediate goal,” Lulurun said.
“Oh wow…” Syll said. “That’s so amazing, Ms. Lulurun.”
“Thanks, Syll,” Lulurun said.
“I’m always excited to hear from you, Ms. Lulurun,” Syll said with a glittering smile.
And seeing Syll like that, Lulurun said the first thing that came to her mind:
“Syll, if I make a company, I should take you on as a part-time worker,” Lulurun said.
“Huh? You mean me?” Syll asked, squirming adorably at the joking suggestion.
“That’s right,” Lulurun said before she whispered, “(compared to hiring someone I don’t know at all),” then back to normal, “you’d be fine, Syll.”
“Huuuh?!” Syll cried. “But, come on, you know I’m a screw-up, I might just bother you, Ms. Lulurun…”
The look of joy on her face is instantly clouded by her low self-esteem. She seemed to think working for Lulurun would just be a definite hindrance, and she didn’t want to bother someone she longed for so much.
As Lulurun grabs Syll’s hand, she looks straight into her face.
“Still,” Lulurun said, “you’re good to me, Syll, doesn’t what I think count?”
“Huuuuhhhh?!!!” Syll cried. “No way!!!”
“Is that a no?” Lulurun sakde.
“Umm… well, the thing is… if you think so, Ms. Lulurun… but you already have Lady Reines, so, you know, umm…” Syll said, bright red as her eyes spun.
“Rhynes doesn’t matter, Syll! You’ll be great!” Lulurun said before she whispered, “(Because it’d be a lot easier.)”
“B-B-B-But…!” Syll cried.
“Don’t start cheating in broad daylight, meow.”
“Woah?!”
“Hyah?!”
Miris suddenly popped up between the two. Lulurun was startled and flipped backward from surprise.
“That scared me!” Lulurun cried.
“Hello, Lady Miris,” Syll said.
“Hello, Syll, meow,” Miris said.
Lulurun wondered if Rhynes was here, but it seemed that Miris is alone.
“Lady Rhynes isn’t here, meow,” Miris said.
“That’s weird, you’re working alone?” Lulurun asked.” Are you skipping work? That’s unprofessional.”
“That I am, meow, but I want you to explain first what that cheating scene was earlier!” Miris said.
“Cheating scene? What are you talking about?” Lulurun asked.
In contrast to the naturally dense Lulurun, Syll is blushing and looking down.
“Your genuine denseness makes you a terrifying woman, meow,” Miris said.
“So what about Rhynes?” Lulurun asked.
“You’ve just been flirting with another woman, and now you ask about Lady Rhynes, meow, you’re such a slutty bitch!” Miris said. “Miris won’t be deceived, meow!”
Miris scowls at Lulurun’s incredible womanizing power, how is she unaware of that? Lulurun’s face just reads, “What are you talking about?”
“So, what about Rhynes?” Lururun asked. “I haven’t seen her recently, are you guys busy?”
“Today, all the Captains of the Northern Knight Orders of the Holy Empire are having an important meeting with the Holy Emperor at the Grand Church, meow,” Miris said.
“Oh, that sounds really important, doesn’t it?” Syll asked.
“Is it that big a deal?” Lulurun asked.
“The Knights of the Holy Emperor exist from the 1st to the 13th corps, scattered in the east, west, north, and south,” Syll said.
Lulurun knew the divisions of the Knights of the Holy Empire, 3-4 battalions each for Ursa, Rokujo, Zayhon, and Kano.
However, she didn’t know if it was such a big deal if all of their Captains gathered together. She’s got little doubt it is one, considering Syll’s reaction.
“It’s rare for all four captains to gather in the Grand Temple,” Syll said.
“Huh,” Lulurun said.
“What is with that reaction, meow?” Miris asked.
Because she couldn’t quite grasp the scale of the situation, that was the extent of Lulurun’s reaction.
“Doesn’t the Holy Emperor speak directly to the captains?” Syll asked.
“So they do, meow,” Miris said.
“So the Holy Emperor is the most important person for the Knights?” Lulurun asked.
“That’s right, meow,” Miris said.
The Holy Emperor, Lulurun often heard about him…
Lulurun’s imagination was filled with fantasies about this so-far unseen Holy Emperor, the one who stands at the top of the Knights and gives his grand speeches, the head of the Order must be a strict man to be above Rhynes and Big Bro Cain both.
“The Holy Emperor is the one who manages all the churches in this world,” Syll said.
“…… Oh, I see,” Lulurun said.
She’s learned a new piece of common knowledge that she wasn’t interested in at all. There was someone called the Holy Emperor, a great man who heads the Church and protects the world, under whom are the Knights of the Holy Empire like Rhynes, who act as his fellow protectors.
“So they’re the police of the whole world?” Lulurun asked.
“No, do you really live in this world, Lulurun, meow, why don’t you even know that, meow?”
“I don’t have much of an interest in things I’m not interested in, ahaha…” Lulurun said.
It’s been about a month since she came to this world, but there are probably still many things in this world she doesn’t understand.
Is the threat of the witches only in this country, or is it similar on the other side of the ocean? She wasn’t totally uninterested, but that wasn’t the point.
Lulurun was painfully aware of the walls of entrepreneurship she had yet to climb, she was blinded in many ways because of the daily work of customer service.
“So, what are the captains talking about?” Lulurun asked.
“The Witch of the North Subjugation Strategy, meow,” Miris said.
“Witch Subjugation?”
If she wasn’t mistaken, Miris did say that.
“Witch Subjugation.”
