Modern Military System - 13 The Party...
The party was located in the landlord’s manor, which situated on a hill near the port. It took about twenty minutes of walking from the ala folks bar. Though, it wasn’t that far either.
“SO OUR JOB IS JUST TO POUR WINE?” Lance said as the guests finally left their assignment.
“Duh Lance, what are you expecting?” Amara said to him as she cleaned her maid outfit.
The landlord came and grabbed a serving of the red wine, “Nice job Amara, where did you find him?” the landlord asked me.
“He is Lance, sir, he is my old acquaintance,” Amara replied to him.
“Lance, who anyway? Oh sorry to be rude, my name is Ferdinand Glas, I am a count of this land,” He said.
“Pardon me, Count Glas, whose funeral party is this?” Lance replied as he poured a red wine to a guest and gave an evil smile at him.
“I see, Well, I take my leave then,” Count Glas said as he left both of us alone again.
Lance and Amara continued to serve the wine again until the party was over. The nobility that attends the party was wealthy indeed, but something that bothered Lance was the number of privateers that were there. From the horizon of the sea, multiple blips could be seen, which most of the noble was mistake it as, “The stars look beautiful tonight.” The stars were CSG of Gerald R Ford.
The nobility was drinking and eating all night long. Lance and Amara were sitting on the bench after their job was done. Lance looked around him, searching for his relatives who were already in the open blue sea.
“Amara, Why did this man replace my family as the landlord?” Lance asked him.
“It’s a long story,” she said.
Suddenly, the landlord approached lance with several bodyguards behind him. The landlord seems to want to get closer to Lance, but for what? Lance stood up and approached the landlord back and asked, “What can I do for you, sir?”
“Lance, can you follow me please?” Ferdinand asked me politely with his intimidating bodyguard.
Lance and his bodyguards followed him without any hesitation since a refusal wasn’t an option as far as he can see. The nobleman took him to an empty garden without any nobility, and suddenly, a knight brought out his sword and got put down by Lance’s bodyguard using their MP7.
“What did you do to him?” Amara asked him although she had already known the obvious answer. Amara felt relieved knowing that the count had been killed. She was not a type of girl that will scream when she sees dead bodies. She was a war veteran technically.
Lance nodded to him and put his finger on top of his mouth, “Shhh, follow the others and left me ok?” Lance showed his confidence in that situation and Amara agreed to Lance’s decision and started to run joining the other nobilities.
Now, they focused more on exfiltrating the hot zone. As always, Lance knew what he has to do which is calling a helicopter for exfiltration. Luckily, he always prepared for anything that he might needs.
Lance: “Dima, requesting exfiltration ASAP.”
Dima: “Halo will reach there in about two minutes.”
Lance: “We got six minutes window before the air support from the capital arrives.”
A huge crowd of angry knights and soldiers were approaching their position which was in the middle of the manor’s garden. Overall, if this were a real firefight, they would be in the Killzone. Lance loaded a magazine to his MP7 and switched the fire button to full-auto. They proned down and started to aim their PDW at the angry goons.
“Open fire!” Lance said as the soldier started to shot 4.6X30mm ammo at the enemies. The soldier fell down one by one as every shot that they fired dropped the enemy soldier one by one. They kept shooting, but the number of soldiers was staggering. Their magazines ran out before the stock of the soldier had run out. Although it was unexpected, Dima’s helicopter arrived just on time.
Dima: “Prioritizing elimination of enemy’s threat.”
The helicopter that he brought was an S-70 Battlehawk, it was a Blackhawk helicopter equipped with unguided rockets and .50 cal minigun on its stubby wings. “In hot, find cover!” The blackhawk fired its minigun and hit several knights and put them down on the ground.
Dima: “Rocket salvo, Rocket salvo”
Hydra-70 rockets were fired at the attacking soldier and obliterated them into million pieces. The enemies were gone and the LZ had been cleared. Dima landed his helicopter and the team got out of the hot zones and headed back to the cruiser since their mission have been done
