Monster Integration - Chapter 4041: Handing Over
Step!
I appeared in the familiar hall.
There were people in there, but I feared the formations here more than them.
I reached the door and flashed my badge. It opened, and I walked out.
Half a minute later, I was in the air. I will need to fly for a few hours, to the clear space, before the island can pull me into the organization.
Buzz!
A few minutes passed, and a message flashed on my badge.
It was from Prime Volsnorth. Stating, he was glad, that I had returned safely.
He should have already got the complete report of the realm. It’s clear he didn’t think, I had got what he wanted, but still messaged me about my well-being.
I messaged him for the meeting and the reply surprised me.
He is willing to meet me after I reach the organization. I thought it would be tomorrow or at least a few hours after I reached the organization.
I thanked him and continued with my journey.
I am still releasing my soul waves. The very faint kind. This is the core territory of the organization, but that doesn’t mean it is completely safe.
There hadn’t been any incident here for a century, but caution was necessary.
The incident with Hayat had made me too cautious. I am seeing danger everywhere.
Soon, I reached the clear area, without the slightest spatial disturbance and tapped on the badge.
Twelve seconds later, the spatial energy covered me, and everything turned dark. Step!
I appeared on the familiar disk and stepped out of the.
I walked out of the door and took the clothes formation to the Prime Volsnorth office.
Less than a minute later. I was in front of the familiar door.
Click!
I didn’t even have to wait for a moment before the door opened and I walked inside. Prime Volsnorth, sitting behind the white table.
“Alkaz is really a bastard. They didn’t inform us about the millennium challenge.”
“If we had known that you and others would have been able to better prepare to deal with it and gotten a better reward,” he said with a sigh as he motioned me to take a seat in front of him.
“I still got a good reward,” I replied.
“Top 100?” he asked, to which I shook my head. “Top 50?” he asked again.
“Top,” I replied and put a box in front of him.
A frown appeared on the old man’s face before his eyes widened in shock.
Click!
I didn’t even see his hands move. I only heard the sound and saw an old man looking at all three bottles of halnx liquid with wide eyes.
His whole body shook as he looked at them. It took him an over minute to control himself and turn to me.
This is really precious to the Primes. Something they would die for, but it was in a place, where they couldn’t go, even after sealing their power.
He had asked for one bottle.
I could have kept the other two; I would have been able to get anything I wanted in exchange for them, but seeing the old man provided me, I had decided to give all three to him.
With three, he will have greater chances to comprehend the law.
“You are Hadis?” he asked and “Yes,” I replied.
I rather no one knows about my strength, but there was no option. Seeing even if I handed him a single bottle; he would have suspected it.
The only option, I had was to tell him, I failed. Which I am unwilling to do.
“The first prize was a mark of law,” he said after a moment of silence.
“It’s not my law,” I replied with the same answer, I had given.
“Thank you, Micheal. These things will help me tremendously,” he thanked with his eyes turning emotional.
It’s a first time, I had seen him letting his guard down as such.
A moment later, my expression turned serious.
“I have a request, Prime,” I said.
“Anything. As long as I can get, I will give to you,” he replied, to that I shook my head.
“I hope, you will report, that I failed,” I said.
For a fraction of a second. There was confusion before understanding dawned in his eyes.
“You want to keep your strength hidden?” he asked, and I nodded. “It is wise, but it would create a problem for me,” he replied with a smile.
Now, it’s my turn to look at him with confusion.
“I was going to give you access to the vault,” he clarified. Now he cannot; there is no reward for the failure.
“Still the old man has some good collection. You can select anything you can from it,” he said, forwarding a jade plate toward me.
“There is no need.” I declined. “Currently, I have everything I need. If I need anything in the future, I will ask you,” I added.
“At least take one thing. I wouldn’t feel good. If you didn’t,” he said.
“Ok,” I replied.
If I decline it. It would be a disrespect for his good intentions.
So, I sent a sliver of energy into the plate and massive storage in front of me. There are
thousands of things there and I wanted everything.
I controlled my emotions and began to look at them, carefully. It took me a few minutes before I finally selected the things.
“Asawen roots. A good choice; it would help you recover your life force if you ever burned it,”
he said, looking at the crystalline root in the glass box.
“Thank you. Prime Volsnorth,” I said to them, and the old man shook his head.
“Its value is nothing compared to what you have given, Micheal,” he replied.
A few minutes later. I walked out of his office with that box in my storage. It is an amazing resource and is at the Prime level.
Given what it does. It’s really expensive and hard to get.
With this in my hand. I would be slightly less worried when I would be forced to burn my
blood next time.
Though, I will try to become strong, to not become that desperate.
