- Chapter 44: A High School Nostalgia with Senior Feng! (2)
They got off of the car and passed the school gate. The security guards recognized Long Liling immediately, but what they didn’t recognize was this man with Long Liling. They were specifically ordered by Master Long Shan of Long Family to watch over if Liling has a boyfriend.
“Wait, Long Liling, who is this guy with you? Your dad told us to watch over you,” one security guard asked.
They stared at Xiaojun for a while and inevitably blushed when Xiaojun looked at them.
They were dazed when they saw a tall man with a white and blue hanfu, white milk skin, a pair of peach blossom eyes that blinked innocently at them, and a polite smile. There was no cold and domineering Feng Xiaojun today.
Just a beautiful man who looked like an immortal Daoist descended from the sky, gracing them with his beauty.
“Pardon me, I am Liling’s guardian. You can ask Master Long Shan for my identity.”
‘Goddamn! This guy is incredibly handsome. I might get bent because of him!’ the two security guards thought at the same time. They shook their heads and allowed Xiaojun and Liling to enter the school festival.
Feng Xiaojun felt so nostalgic when he saw the lines of food stalls, merchandise and accessories stall, and also few more unique stalls presented in this festival. Some of the stalls were from outside, invited by the school to fill the slot, mostly selling food. While the merchandise, accessory, and other miscellaneous were mostly filled with students from a club to earn more money.
Since this is the most prestigious school in the whole city and probably one of the wealthiest schools in the country, every price was blown out of proportion.
Feng Xiaojun looked at his left. There was someone who sold a Tanghulu written English as ‘Candiet Fruit covered in sweet hardened caramel’ and sold it ten or twenty times more expensive.
A normal Tanghulu should be around seven yuan each but in this school festival? Seventy to two hundred yuan each, or about 30 dollars each.
Well, it didn’t matter much, though. Since those who can enter this school are mostly millionaire or billionaire’s son or daughter. So they always think that everything was cheap until they had to manage their parents’ company and realized that most people didn’t have the same purchasing power as them.
Including Xiaojun, who was also a silver spoon since birth, ‘Ah, I still remember that I thought two hundred yuan for a candy is so cheap.’
How did Xiaojun know all this? Because he was the student council president who managed this event when he was in this high school. He was known as the dreamy Senior Feng and was loved by so many women.
‘Hehe, good times,’ Xiaojun thought.
Long Liling pulled Xiaojun around as she was also excited for this event. This was the first time for her to explore the school festival without her annoying dad. It was honestly refreshing.
Liling seemed to have her own destination, as she ignored every other stall and stopped right in front of a fried rice stall. Liling was the first customer, so she ordered two fried rice for 650 yuan or 100 dollars and then sat on the seat.
Xiaojun frowned, “Why are you ordering fried rice? You don’t have your breakfast yet?”
“Well, yeah, I’m hungry, but…” Liling tilted her head to the left for a better view and watched someone from that fried rice stall. Xiaojun followed Liling’s line of sight and saw a thin boy around Liling’s age. He had a small body but obviously had great strength since he could lift the pan full of fried rice lightly.
He wore an apron and cooked two plates of fried rice so skillfully, even Xiaojun got surprised. The young man walked to them with a bright smile on his face and put the fried rice on Xiaojun and Liling’s table.
“This is your fried rice. Thank you for ordering from my stall, Liling!” the young man said with a bright smile, showing a row of white teeth.
“D—Don’t mention it. I’m also hungry, and you are a good cook,” Liling replied shyly. “You should go back. There are more people lining up in your stall now.”
“Ah, yes, I should!” the young man said. He stared at Liling for a good minute and then praised her, “Liling, you look so beautiful with that hanfu, like a goddess, hehe!”
The young man left them and returned to his stall because he needed to serve more customers. The usually strong underground fighter champion, Long Liling, was blushing pink peach on her cheeks, which gave Xiaojun a signal of something.
Xiaojun grinned mischievously, “Who is that young man? He is also a student here, right?”
“H—His name is Xu Fanghao. He is my classmate,” Liling answered. “He is active in soccer. He is good with any sport other than basketball because of his height. He is also a great cook because his father is a celebrity chef.”
“Wow, you seem to know so well about that young man. I doubt you even remember your teacher’s name,” Xiaojun snickered.
Liling glared at Xiaojun, but she sighed after that, “Isn’t it obvious already? I like him because he is so bright, athletic, cute, and also a great cook. Definitely my type!”
Xiaojun giggled at Liling, who was in love, “I assume that your dad doesn’t know this.”
“Of course, he doesn’t,” Liling rolled her eyes. “I still remember when there was a senior who has a crush on me when I was a freshman here. He asked for my number, and I give mine to him because he’s kind of cute.”
“And the next day, my dad kidnapped that senior by ordering his men. Then he was brought to Long Mansion for questioning. After that, whenever he saw me, he ran away immediately. I asked my dad about it, and he just said that he told that young man not to play with my feeling, or he and his family will suffer.”
“Ah, I think I get it now,” Xiaojun chuckled. “Your dad is just worried and actually allowed him if he wants to be your boyfriend, right?”
“Yes, my dad approved. But he intimidated that poor senior too much that he couldn’t even stand straight now.”
I laughed heartily. Now I get why Liling said that Long Shan could be a bit too much.
Liling sighed and started digging the fried rice. Xiaojun got up and said to Liling, “I will get some cola. Just wait here, okay?”
Feng Xiaojun went to a luxury vending machine in the school, where one cola was 200 Yuan. He bought two and was going to return to Liling.
Until he heard someone called him, “Xiao-Ge?”
