Mr. Fang’s Feisty Mistress - Chapter 290 An Urge To Kill
“I don’t even know how mad I should get!” Zhang Liling scoffed.
Breathing in heavily, she continued, “I can’t believe how daring this woman is. She dared to birth another man’s child and then come to bully me in my own father’s house?”
Thinking back to all those times she was bullied, Zhang Liling couldn’t help but get annoyed. How could she the real child of Zhang Renshu be bullied and leveled below the children that did not belong to him?
That was unheard of.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
“I really can’t wait to punch a hole into that woman’s nose!”
Glancing at her, Fang Bingwen said, “Take it easy. I didn’t tell you this for you to lose your sense of reasoning. I did this so you could choose your place of work.”
Mr. Fang wanted her to know the truth, so she wouldn’t regret coming to work in Fang Group, leaving the fake siblings in her father’s company, and taking over running the place with time.
Although she hasn’t mentioned finding a place to work since she returned, he still had to let her know what was on ground.
“I don’t know how to take it easy,” she said looking at him. “I just want to kill someone and rest.”
“No!” Fang Bingwen refuted her immediately and even went on to remind her of the consequences of an action carried out in a moment of anger.
“If you kill someone you won’t rest. That’s not possible. You will be going straight to jail. And also, it won’t be possible to marry me in this lifetime.”
Zhang Liling was quiet as she was unable to refute his words. He got her there.
Why would she want to miss out on a lifetime of goodies for some crazy people that didn’t worth it?
But, she had wanted to query Mr. Fang for not making any statement about saving her from prison but instead, he was talking about never going to marry her even if she finished serving her jail sentence.
Did this man love her at all, or was he just threatening her just so she would not commit a crime?
He really was upright.
“Mr. Fang, I want to move back to my place.” Zhang Liling said out of the blue.
This was someone going on and on about putting an end to someone’s life, and now she was already talking about parting from him.
Nodding in acceptance, Fang Bingwen replied, “When do you want to leave? Do you need help to move your stuff?”
“What? You won’t ask for the reason?” Zhang Liling asked as her mouth remained agape in shock.
His reaction was so unexpected. It was as if he couldn’t even wait to help her move.
Spreading his arms as he shrugged his shoulders, he asked, “Why would I? You are an adult, and also, you are not my wife, so I have no right to question you.”
“Mr. Fang!”
This response literally hit a soft spot such that Zhang Liling couldn’t help but react to it.
Putting a break on his joke, Fang Bingwen made another comment that put her off completely.
“You should leave so you could have more privacy to continue hiding your secret from me.”
*******
After a tasking conversation with Mr. Fang, Zhang Liling went to her room and without waiting to take off her slippers, she jumped on her bed.
Sitting her butts on the side of the bed as she crossed her legs over the other, she placed her phone on her air as her left arm crossed over her chest.
The once worry-free face was now contoured in a frown.
‘Rrriiiinnnnng…. rriiiinnnnnng….’
After three failed attempts to reach the person on the other end of the phone, Zhang Liling collapsed on her bed as her thoughts went back to the conversation with Mr. Fang.
Her stepmother’s secret felt so surreal.
No matter how she thought about it, Zhang Liling could not believe that she was maltreated by the mother of someone who had no right to be in the same space as her in the first place.
At least, if Zhang Mingyu was truly her half-brother, she could endure to some extent, but this was a no-no.
Shi Wenqian’s pregnancy was the same reason her mother canceled her wedding with her father, the consequence that led to her Song family cutting ties with her.
This also was the reason her father didn’t give her attention when she came to live with him.
Zhang Liling just couldn’t wrap her hands around this matter. How daring was Shi Wenqian?
It seems like it was finally now she knew the reason her mother was always worried about something happening to her.
A woman that dared to bully her under her father’s roof, and now, she wanted to reap where she did not sow?
She was not going to let that happen.
A minute later, Zhang Liling was pulled away from her trance when a call came in on her phone. Glancing at the screen and seeing the called ID, she quickly sat up and answered the call.
“Mum!” She called out immediately without giving her mother a chance to greet her.
Sensing the urgency in her tone, Song Jujing released a deep sigh into the phone.
Thinking that it had something to do with their last call, she asked, “What is it? Did you have another argument with your father?”
“I wish we did, then maybe I wouldn’t be this worked up.” Zhang Liling swore.
At this point, arguing with her father, although annoying, was far better with the pool of emotions surging through her.
“What happened?” Song Jujing asked as a frown adorned her face.
What could be worse than arguing with the childish and annoying Zhang Renshu?
Sometimes, even she lost her composure with him.
“Mum, you won’t believe this…” Then Zhang Liling went on to spill every information Mr. Fang gave to her concerning her fake half-brother Zhang Mingyu.
But the end result was unexpected. Song Jujing wasn’t as furious as she was. She only made one statement.
“That woman can really do anything.”
Zhang Liling was not having that. Why was her mother so calm and collected towards the woman that ruined half of her life?
“Mother!” Zhang Liling called out angrily. She was almost on the verge of screaming at her.
“How could you be so calm about this situation? You are literally letting the woman who stole your place and your man off? Mum, have you forgotten how she almost ruined your life?”
Zhang Liling was so pained and couldn’t help but remind her mother about the past.
Shi Wenqian was the sole reason she left Zhang Renshu, and even the pregnancy she claimed belonged to Zhang Renshu was not even his.
Her mother truly had suffered a lot at the hands of the woman that popped out of nowhere, but Song Jujing remained indifferent.
“What place? I don’t care about it. It’s good that she is there, but I hope she is enjoying that spot she made so much effort to hijack”
She was saying all these without knowing that the woman in question got smacked in the face by the man she tried so hard to covet.
The reason she made a statement like that, was all because of what Zhang Rensu put her through, and she knew that Shi Wenqian wouldn’t have it easy either because of the hook and crook method she used.
Zhang Renshu had cheated on her, not once, not twice and she still forgave him. But the last straw that broke the camel’s back, was sleeping with his housekeeper.
Now, she no longer cared if the pregnancy was real or not. The main point was that he slept with his domestic helper and the woman had the guts to tip her off.
Song Jujing blamed herself for being innocent as to think that he would change after forgiving him. Not just that, she regretted ever having anything to do with him in the first place, including sleeping with him.
Maybe she shouldn’t have gone on to fix a wedding with him after discovering that he cheated on her. And in the course of calling off the wedding, her family cut off ties with her.
If not that she came to love the child she had with Zhang Renshu and agreed to keep her, she wouldn’t have had any good experiences in her past.
Thinking of her past, Song Jujing couldn’t help but to get a bit nervous as something struck her mind.
Then without waiting for Zhang Liling to speak out the words at the tip of her tongue, she hurriedly said,
“Liling, have you slept with Fang Bingwen?”
Somehow, her brain seemed to boot as she immediately regretted that question. Immediately, she rephrased her words before the shocked young woman at the other end of the phone would give her an earful.
“Liling, you can’t make the same mistake I did in the past. Make sure you use protection and if possible, don’t get entangled in the sheets with Bingwen till after marriage. I know…”
“Mum!” Zhang Liling screamed into the phone with a frightened expression on her face.
The next second, she pulled her phone out from her ear to glance at the caller ID one more time just to confirm that she was still on the phone with her mother.
How could she say things like that? Wasn’t she embarrassed?
Did she know it wasn’t everything they had to talk about?
