Mr. Fang’s Feisty Mistress - Chapter 299 A Surprise Visit
Fang Bingwen had no choice but to let go.
Reaching for her lips, he traced them with his fingers slowly before bringing his hand down to his side.
At least, she remembered that she had something on fire even while engaged in the intense kiss.
Jumping down from the countertop, she hurried over to the table gas and removed the lid of the pot.
Half an hour later, she served the pasta and a bottle of wine in her small dining room.
After dishing some portion of food for Mr. Fang, she put it in front of him.
Pouring him a little wine in his glass, she sat on the seat next to him before starting to serve herself.
“Bon appétit!” She exclaimed cheerfully before picking up her fork.
The corner of Fang Bingwen’s lips curled at her greeting before equally picking up his fork.
Briefly glancing at the glass of wine at his left side, a soft sigh escaped his lips as he moved his gaze back to his food and rolled up some pasta with his fork.
At last, she was making him drink some wine before leaving.
She had really gotten the best of him.
In the middle of eating, Zhang Liling brought up her business to him for the first time.
Fang Bingwen wasn’t even surprised that she had plans like that notwithstanding the fact that he didn’t know what exactly she had been up to, before.
She had always been a smart girl, so it really wasn’t a surprise that she would want to start something up for herself.
Now, he would have to watch her run her business from the side and see how well she does.
“Mr. Fang, where do I get a good spot for a warehouse and a walk-in store?” Zhang Liling asked as she stared intently at him.
“What kind of business do you need that much space for?”
“Makeup.” Zhang Liling revealed with a proud smile as she went on to explain as he watched her intently.
“While in Paris, I started to have thoughts of having my own brand of makeup instead of working for another company out there, so I started to work towards it.”
Mr. Fang nodded in understanding. “I see, you want to be your own boss.”
“Why not? As long as I don’t give up and stick to my grounds during the bad times, I will definitely succeed.”
Picking up his wine glass to take the first sip, he said, “If you wanted to do something else apart from anything relating to beauty and lifestyle, I wouldn’t have approved of it.£
Even though Fang Bingwen didn’t sound or look serious while saying that, he meant what he said.
Knowing Zhang Liling very well, he knew she would succeed in her own business if only she was passionate about it.
Money was not enough to pull her to success unless something stronger than passion was there.
Not getting his point, Zhang Liling asked him about it but he waved it off and instantly shifted their conversation back to her previous question.
“When you come back from your family place, call me, and I will show you the places I managed to find.”
While she would be away, Fang Bingwen was going to use that opportunity to help her look for a good place for her business.
“Thank you, Mr. Fang!” Zhang Liling said gratefully, revealing her two rolls of white teeth.
*******
The next day, Zhang Liling left her apartment for the Zhang Family.
She made sure to leave on time just so she could meet them at the breakfast table, and her plans worked out just the way she thought.
Walking into the house as her pair of white sneakers skid against the floor, she hummed a popular pop song as a smile hung at the corners of her lips.
Without the need to ask questions or need for directions, she found her way to the dining area, shocking everyone to the core.
“Good morning!” she greeted as her gaze landed on her father. And before anyone could react, she sat beside Zhang Mingyu whose eyes were agape.
Glancing at the table of dishes lined up at the large dining table, she couldn’t help but comment.
“It looks like a feast is going on without me.”
With that, she looked to her left and asked for a plate from the servant standing there and waiting for instructions.
Immediately, the maid turned to leave.
Feeling the gazes on her, Zhang Liling smiled sheepishly as she met them head-on.
Seeing Zhang Xiaoling sitting on a chair, two seats away from Shi Wenqian, a hint of surprise flashed past her eyes.
“Xiaoling, you are here? I thought you were married?” she said giving her a good glance.
Zhang Xiaoling retracted her gaze as she used her fork to stand into the fresh vegetable salad before her.
“Is that a question?” she retorted.
“Why not? You know, I missed your wedding and had to hear about it from social media, but seeing here, I can’t help but want to confirm. Anything can happen.”
Nothing would have happened if Zhang Liling didn’t add the last part, but she had to just go straight into looking for trouble as soon as she appeared out of nowhere.
Instantly, Shi Wenqian’s face turned dark as she couldn’t help but retort.
“Are you jinxing my daughter?”
That little girl sitting adjacent to her was the same person that made Zhang Renshu hit her in the face, and here she was, daring to show her face to her and even going as far as cursing her daughter in front of her.
It seems like she was so full of herself now that she had identified with the Fang Family, and her father was no longer pursuing the matter.
Without waiting for Zhang Liling to reply to her, Zhang Renshu hurriedly interjected as his eyes narrowed at her.
“Why are you here?” he interrogated with no chance of a smile trying to appear on his face.
Hearing that question, Shi Wenqian felt a bit glad and comforted herself. ‘At least he doesn’t want to see her.’
After getting into the Fang Family halfway and he couldn’t stop her from going on with her intentions, she wouldn’t be so angry if he at least didn’t want to see her face. So she thought.
