Mr. Fang’s Feisty Mistress - Chapter 304 Bored Out Of Mind
Zhang Renshu watched as Zhang Liling clicked a few pictures of his study space, including his work desk.
Ignoring the frown sitting on his face as she clicked his picture, Zhang Liling faked a serious look and put her phone away.
“Alright, that’s all. I will get back to you soon.” She said and walked to his table to pick up the blank cheque he wrote for her.
Waving it in front of him, she spurned on her heels and went away.
A deep sigh escaped Zhang Renshu’s lips after she shut the door.
Why was she suddenly getting close to him?
That was the question that was etched deeply into his mind.
As soon as Zhang Liling walked into her bedroom, she went to sit at the edge of the bed and typed away on her phone.
Finding Fang Bingwen’s contact, she went to her phone gallery to select all the pictures she took a few minutes ago, and sent them to him.
‘Mr. Fang, help me check how much it would cost to give this study a good vibe.’ She typed after sending those photos.
Knowing that he wasn’t online yet, she went to her contact and clicked on his contact.
‘Rrriiiinnng… rriiiinnnnnng’
The phone rang for until Zhang Liling’s patience was almost exhausted.
After failing to reach him through a call, she gave up and left him an SMS instead. That way, he would immediately check his chats after seeing the text from her.
Towards evening, a call from Fang Bingwen came into her phone and the first question that spilled from his mouth was this…
“I see you’ve got a new job. What are you up to?”
She really was acting out of character as if she was trying to please her old man.
Ignoring his question, Zhang Liling began to admonish him for not picking up when she called earlier.
Look at the time he was returning her calls.
“Mr. Fang, if I was in a state of emergency when I made those calls, is this how I would have been killed off?”
She truly was expecting him to answer as soon as she called. She seemed to have forgotten that he was running an empire and wanted all of his time whenever she demanded for it.
“You were not in an emergency otherwise you would have disturbed Bolin in order to get to me.” Fang Bingwen retorted.
Zhang Liling didn’t find his response funny and immediately fired back. “Mr. Fang, shouldn’t you be apologizing? We haven’t even married and you are already playing mind games with me.”
Fang Bingwen released a helpless sigh. Picking up his workbag, he walked toward the door.
It was already time to get off work, so he was leaving for home already.
The thing is that he forgot his phone in his office before leaving for a meeting.
When he came back, he sent a file to a department through his laptop before starting to pack up his things.
When he was done, he picked up his phone and saw the missed calls and text from her. That was when how he got to know about message she left him.
He only returned her calls after going through them.
It really was not really his fault.
Over the phone, Zhang Liling heard the door open which was followed by the sounds of his steady footsteps along the empty hallway and couldn’t help but to ask.
“Are you only getting off work now?”
“Yes, I’ve been in meeting since noon.”
‘No wonder you are only calling back now,’ Zhang Liling thought to herself.
Now understanding the situation, she refused to dwell on matters they did not make sense.
“Mr. Fang, what do you think about my father’s study? I need to change most of the interior decors plus the painting on the wall.”
“If you want to keep things simple which I would suggest, it wouldn’t cost much.” Breathing into the phone, he continued immediately, “Given your father’s age and his value, get him things that are simple and a bit pricy.”
Nodding in understanding, she asked, “How long will it take for the smell of paint to dissipate from the room?”
“Approximately a week or two for normal Humans.” Fang Bingwen replied.
‘Ding!’
The sound of the elevator arriving, alerted him. Glancing at the empty space as the doors opened, Fang Bingwen stepped inside and pressed the <AB> button to go to the underground parking lot.
At his comment, Zhang Liling erupted into series of laughter. “Hahahaha…”
,m He actually made a comment about his sense of smell which was unlike him. He sounded so funny as there was not a hint of bother in his tone.
He seemed to have overcome that stage of his life where he had to be worried about his senses and the triggers.
He truly had come a long way.
“What made you want to help your father out?” He asked, getting off the elevator and making his way toward his car.
He just knew she wasn’t an angel to assist her father without any strings attached.
There was something she would be benefitting from it, and he was right because her response, confirmed his guess.
“I want to make a lasting impression apart from the money I would make from this tiny project. Also, I would love to remain in his good books even though I can leave at will if he offends me.”
Zhang Liling was ready to abandon all her little efforts to suit his pride if he tried to act like a tyrant as he did concerning dating Fang Bingwen.
She would not hesitate to show him that she didn’t care one bit about his opinion.
“You are really something.”
Zhang Liling chuckled a bit before an idea hit her mind. Without hesitation, she probed as the corners of her lips curled into a smirk, her eyes, flashing with a hint of mischief in them.
“Mr. Fang, do you want to come to the Zhang House for a short visit?”
“Are you bored out of your mind?” Fang Bingwen retorted immediately without giving her a second to catch her breath as he got into the back seat of his car.
