Fang Bingwen was truly lost for words at this juncture.

The situation was already embarrassing and now he had to say something regarding it?

While he was trying to figure out what to say, Song Jujing stepped forward.

Glancing between them, she said, “Bingwen, I’m coming to see your family in 2 days. Liling, you have been stressed a lot during period. You should get some rest.”

Saying that, she nodded and then proceeded to walk past them without looking back. She didn’t even give any of them a chance to retort.

As soon as Song Jujing was out of their sight, she stopped in her steps and cringed. “This girl won’t be the death of me.”

Hammering her fists in the air, she stopped after a few seconds. Remembering where she was, she patted her hair before continuing in her steps.

She was so embarrassed back there that she had to muster up the courage to feign ignorance.

And luckily for her, it worked because she didn’t give them any chance to retort.

“Liling, what was that just now?” Fang Bingwen whispered while staring intently at the woman before him.

“My mum thinks I’m pregnant. She thinks we are having s*x…”

“Shush…” Immediately he covered her lips with his palm. Just now, her voice was a little loud and he was scared that others may hear what they were talking about.

Still uncomfortable that she would say something more, he released her lips and took her hand, leading them inside the restroom.

Bolting the door behind them, he let her hand free.

“You have already explained to her that we are not doing what she is thinking. And that explanation is enough.”

“But I don’t think it’s enough for her because she still doesn’t believe me. Maybe if she hears your assurance, she will believe us.” Zhang Liling said with pouted lips.

She seemed like she hated being accused of something she did not and was not doing, so she took this personal.

No matter what, Fang Bingwen couldn’t out himself in her shoes because for him, he mustn’t reply and prove everything to anybody.

There were times you just had to keep quiet and let others assume anything they wanted.

“Liling, it’s inappropriate to talk about in front of your mother. Just let her think what she wants. Okay?”

“No way. At least, I wouldn’t want my reputation to be ruined for nothing.”

Staring intently into his eyes, Zhang Liling suggested, “Mr. Fang, why don’t we do it.”

“What?” Fang Bingwen’s eyes widened in shock.

“Did you drink something when I wasn’t watching?” Fang Bingwen probed, trying to determine what was wrong with her.

“Forget it. I was only pulling your leg.” Zhang Liling replied out of annoyance while rolling her eyes.

Mr. Fang let out a sigh while testing his gaze off her. Shutting his eyes as he let out a deep breath, he face-palmed himself.

And right at that moment, the woman before him, jumped into his embrace and circled her arms around him.

“Why are you so grumpy?” Fang Bingwen asked as his lashes fluttered open.

Pinning his gaze at the top of her head, he patiently waited for her response.

“I’m ovulating.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” Fang Bingwen inquired with a confused gaze.

He failed to understand the meaning of her words a s where she was going with them hence, he requested for an explanation.

Zhang Liling raised her head to meet his gaze. “It means that I am at that time of the month where I need to get laid.”

“Nnnkttch…” A weird sound escaped from Fang Bingwen’s nose as he coughed painfully.

Instantly, his eyes turned teary as he brought his index finger to cross over his nose.

Finally, he understood what she was talking about, but that made him embarrassed.

She was asking for s*x because obviously, her hormones were on a rampage.

“And if you don’t get it, what will happen?” He asked as his embarrassed gaze slowly came to rest on her face.

“Then you will have to face the grumpy version of me.” Zhang Liling replied without breaking their gaze.

Immediately, he pushed her aside. “I think I can deal with the grumpy you. I’m sorry I can’t give you what you want at the moment. Wait till we get married.”

Hearing that, a long sigh escaped from her lips. “Then can I sleep with you tonight?”

Without wasting a second longer, his response came. “We can’t do that. Your mother is around. Remember she is thinking something else don’t give her anymore ideas.”

He was only trying to remind her about her earlier anger, whom it was directed to, and the foundation of it all.

It would be better if she didn’t give her mother anymore ideas she wouldn’t bear when the time comes.

But Zhang Liling thought otherwise. She didn’t look one bit moved.

“I don’t care. She is ready thinking the worst. I just want to feel relieved with you by my side.”

Closing his eyes and opened them again, Mr. Fang said carefully, “I would want to give respect to your mother, why don’t you wait till she travels back?”

“Remember that she has to meet with your family before she returns to Paris. I am impatient.”

In essence, she was telling him that she couldn’t wait and doesn’t mind.

“Fine. Let’s go.”

Finally, he accepted her request.

Returning to her conference room together, Zhang Liling continued the meeting from where she left off.

She was addressing her staff after the success of Glint launch. She thanked them and commended their effort before moving over to the next important topic.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, she went to meet her mother in the waiting room.

Seeing the woman sitting relaxed and reading a fashion magazine on the couch, she walked up to her.

“Mum, I’m spending the rest of my day at Bingwen’s place.”

Immediately, Song Jujing moved the paper away from her face, allowing her catch a good glimpse at her daughter.

“Why?”

“We have important matters to talk about and I don’t think I am obligated to divulge that information to you.”

Song Jujing was speechless for a few seconds before asking, “Won’t you come home with me first? At least you need to pick a few things.”

A few things like her toiletries and change of clothe.

Zhang Liling understood her mother, but because she wanted to take a little revenge for her accusation, she said to her…

“I don’t need to go back home first. I can use my boyfriend’s things and wear his clothes.”

“What? Are crazy? Are you trying to tempt the young man?” Song Jujing whispered as her brows furrowed heavily.

This daughter of hers was unbelievable. She didn’t even know what was good for her, but she didn’t care one bit.

“We are already sleeping together, so what’s there?” Zhang Liling dropped this comment before bringing her phone out of her purse.

“I will book an executive ride for you,” She said why typing away on her phone.

Sing Jujing was left speechless. Although she knew she was trying to get back at her, she couldn’t help but let it get to her head.

Before leaving together, Fang Bingwen and Zhang Liling made sure to see her mother get into the cab.

As Tungmei and her other friends had left before the meeting with her staff started, there was no need to see anyone else off.

As soon as Mr. Fang’s car pulled over in front of his villa, Zhang Liling opened the door and got out.

“It’s been a while.”

“Let’s go in…” Fang Bingwen drawled as he walked ahead.

Quickly she followed him inside the house.

Exchanging a short greeting with the Butler who came to answer the door, she followed Fang Bingwen up the stairs.

On getting to his room, his minty scent rushed up into her nose as she felt the wave pang her face.

“I missed you…” She said spreading her arms as she walked toward his bed with a smile on her face.

To her, his bedroom was the heaven she wanted to hide in.

“Don’t go to my bed, you should take a shower first and clean up those things on your face.” Fang Bingwen said, afraid that she would directly crash into his bed.

Hearing his suggestion, she stopped in her step and turned around with a grumpy look on her face.

Afraid that he had ruined her mood, he walked over and took her hand.

“Come, you need to freshen up first,” he said, leading her into the inner room.

Since he was now acting gentle with her, Zhang Liling obediently allowed him to lead her away.
