Mr. Handsome I Love You - Chapter 77:Ch 77
Hopefully, the nightmares and the impact of missing Joseph will subside with the occupation of being a mother.
Owen was helping her too. His constant attention and reassurance were finally making her feel better. She stood up and walked to the shower.
She took her time carefully making herself look nice. It was her second day as Mrs. Ross and she promised to make sure that she would do her best to live every day fully with him. Joseph’s death showed her that life was too precious and short.

Owen was waiting for her when she came down the stairs. He had an odd look on his face. One she hadn’t seen before. “What’s wrong?” “I need to talk to you for a moment.” She started feeling a wave of panic wash through her. “No, no, don’t worry. It’s nothing terrible.” He smiled down at her.
“As I said, I think I have a way to stop the nightmares.” He put his arm around her and led her to the sofa. He was worried that she wouldn’t take this well standing.
Alice had come down a half an hour ago and near fainted at seeing Joseph so a quick explanation had to take place. Owen had asked her to give them some privacy so they could tell Abigail alone.
She would be embarrassed if she had broken down again like she did that day when Alice offered to be her family. Another thing he worried about was the stress on the baby. Who knew who she would take the news.
“So?” she said smiling up at him while he sat next to her, “What is your big plan?” “Hey, sis.” Her eyes slowly averted to the doorway. “Don’t pass out Abigail. He’s real. I swear.” “Joseph?” He went over, limping slightly, and sat across from her in a big comfortable chair leaning forward and placing his forearms on his knees.
“there was a misunderstanding.” “is that what you call it.” She felt herself grow angry, “A misunderstanding! Lord, Joseph, I thought you died!” “I was in a coma. There was such a mess at the sight—” They gave me your dog tags.”
“Yeah well, for some reason mine got caught on my uniform and so I pulled them off for a moment to readjust—”
“Lord hates me—” she sobbed, falling her face in her hands. “All these weeks, I’ve been so devastated—” “No.” he went to her, and knelt at her feet, “Abigail, look at me.”
He took her hands, “It was a stupid coincidence that’s all. I’m fine, well, I’ve been better. Once they figured out who I was, they tried to get a hold of you. However, you disappeared.
Once I came to, I was on a plane less than three days later.” He winced at the position he took in front of her. “Gosh, you are hurt.” “I’m mending.” He said with a pinched smile.
She reached out and cupped his face, “Oh Lord Joseph, I must sound horrible.” “Well, considering that you’re pregnant, I think your emotions are all over the place.” She turned and looked at Owen.
“It was him in our room last night, but before you tear my head off, he didn’t know you were with me, and you were too upset to bring him back in.” She probably was. Still, “You two need to let me grow up.” “Sweetheart.”
Owen said tipping his head knowledgeably, “I’m pretty sure I did.” “Lord.” Joseph said getting to his feet and staring down at him, “What did I tell you about your teeth?” Abigail burst into laughter. “Now that’s what I like to hear,” Owen said embracing her.
