Mr. President Do You Mind If I Fall In Love With You? - Chapter 30
She’d been waiting patiently for the news. Finishing her work, she threw the files she’d been reading since afternoon. It was a big project she couldn’t fail. This was something that was ȧssigned to her by her grandfather. If ever she was able to close the deal, she would have a better chance of having the position as the next CEO of Jiang Corporation.
Pouring herself a glass of wine, she stood beside the window and looked down at the busy downtown streets of the city. She watched how their company employees happily took their time to leave from work. Soon … very soon, she would be the head of this company, and she couldn’t wait to prove to everyone that it was her rightful place.
Her private phone line rang, indicating that it was the call she was anticipating. She’d been on her edge since morning, waiting to receive good news from the man she hired the day before. Taking the call, Sienna composed herself and pretended that she wasn’t nervous or excited.
It only took a minute, and Sienna grinned as soon as she disconnected the phone call she received that evening. All the plans were on the right track.
If she played her cards right, Luna would come running to the Jiang family to beg for help. She wasn’t really planning to use Julian as the last resort of her plans, but Luna’s sharp words from their last meeting irked her so much.
“Luna, you think you can just talk back to me like that? I’ll make sure you will lose everything,” she whispered to herself.
There wouldn’t be a day that she was not compared to Luna. From their academic grades to appearance, everyone seemed to prefer Luna’s company. Why did everyone look up to that woman anyway? She was nothing but a daughter of a commoner. Sienna sneered mentally.
“You seem like in a good mood.”
Her mother voice took her attention away from her phone. A devilish smile crossed on Sienna’s lips as she looked back at her mother who just entered her office. Picking up the wine glass from the table beside her, she sipped her drink slowly, savoring the taste of the wine.
“Just expecting good news soon,” Sienna replied to her mother.
Clarissa’s brows rose on her daughter’s remarks. She was aware of Sienna’s deep hatred for her half-sister, Luna. Didn’t she already kick Luna out of the company? She’d never seen her daughter in a good mood like this ever since Luna left the Jiang Corporation.
“What did you do now?” Clarissa asked.
Sienna moved to the couch and crossed her legs. Her fingers slowly twirled the loose locks of her hair. She wondered how long it would take for Luna to come over and plead for help. She couldn’t wait to see that woman in her knees.
“Nothing to worry about, Mother. You will see,” she replied.
“Make sure whatever you did it wouldn’t be traced back to you,” Clarissa reminded Sienna.
“Of course, Mother. I know what I’m doing; besides, after this, we will never have to worry about her again.”
