Ms. CEO is His Bodyguard - Chapter 26
The tag name of ‘The Five Elites’ was given by the Headmaster himself. It had been called that way for almost a decade now.
Meaning to say, the five of them plus their Leader Xi had been together for almost a decade as well.
Seeing their Leader Xi acting the way she did earlier, Lu Yizhi, Lu Wei, Lu Lenglian and Lu Qingya could still accept it, albeit reluctantly.
They knew that in those past three years that Wang Rouxi was gone, it was inevitable for her to have some changes in her temperament.
But it’s totally a different matter in Lu Sha’s case!
The five of them had been together all these years, and the four stupefied people could attest that they had never seen Lu Sha this happy.
What happened to this unfeeling guy for him to act in this way?
“What the heck?!” Lu Yizhi could not help but curse lowly.
None of them would probably be able to guess that it was jealousy that caused Lu Sha to behave like this.
After witnessing Wang Rouxi’s and Xia Jiannan’s interaction earlier that day, Lu Sha thought that he should change his approach starting tonight.
This was also partly the reason why he had summoned the rest of the gang here without Wang Rouxi’s permission, aside from celebrating his Lordship’s return.
Lu Sha wanted to make Wang Rouxi forget everything about Xia Jiannan, and the first thing to do to achieve that was to divert her attention to something else.
“What are you waiting for? Xiao Wei had put a lot of effort in preparing all these food! We should show him some appreciation by finishing all of them!”
With those words, Lu Sha successfully led them into the dining table that was full of various appetizing meals.
Wang Rouxi had a content smile on her face as she watched them scarfed down the food.
“Xiao Wei,” Wang Rouxi softly called out. A hush fell over the dining hall as the typically shy young man looked up at Wang Rouxi nervously.
“Y-yes, Leader Xi?” Lu Wei asked timidly.
A smile bloomed on Wang Rouxi’s face as she looked at the restless youth, “The food is great!”
Hearing the leader praised him, Lu Wei’s face broke into a smile, his ears and neck turning red. “T-thank you!”
“Yup! Wei Wei’s cooking is the best!” Lu Yizhi suddenly piped up, but then he realized that he said something wrong when he saw Lu Qingya smirking at him. “No, I mean, Wei Wei’s cooking is only second to the Leader!”
Everyone laughed at Lu Yizhi’s antics. The tense atmosphere from earlier had long been replaced by a harmonious one.
At that moment, only one person could not be seen sharing the same enthusiasm as the others.
No words could describe Lu Sha’s feelings right then.
He did not know whether to feel happy that the elite members of the Lu Faction reunited again with their leader or to feel jealous and angry that others were making progress on bettering their relationship with his Lordship much faster than him.
. . .
Meanwhile…
As soon as Xia Jiannan entered the mansion, Madam Xia had literally flown over from the living room towards him.
“Jiannan, are you alright? Are you hurt somewhere? Do we have to bring you to the hospital?”
Seeing his mother’s exaggerated reaction, Xia Jiannan pinched the bridge of his nose, “I’m alright.”
His mother was circling him, inspecting whether he had any injuries or wounds.
Now, we know where Xia Jinhu got his melodramatic personality!
Although Madam Xia had triple-checked that Xia Jiannan was not hurt anywhere else, she was still doubtful because his face was flushed red.
But before she could say anything further, Master Xia had thoughtfully butted in their conversation.
“Let him go, Jinqiu! He must be tired.”
Earlier, the moment he saw that Xia Jiannan’s eyes were bloodshot and his face was a rosy red hue, Master Xia knew that something was up.
When he glanced at the unusually quiet Xia Jinhu standing behind Xia Jiannan and noticed that Xia Jiannan’s complexion was not right , Master Xia had roughly guessed what had happened.
“Jinhu, come to my study later.”
Xia Jinhu, who was at this point completely focused on the aromatic food inside the plastic bag, was startled when his father had called out to him.
Temporarily forgetting his growling stomach, Xia Jinhu did not dare think of what would happen to him now.
He had just narrowly escaped his brother’s wrath. Now, his father wanted to join in on the fun!
