My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 190
Loud, enthusiastic music echoed around the living room. The entire area was surrounded with curly papers, colorful design, delicious foods on the table that was ordered by the boys.
Waiting for the girls who changed outfit an hour ago, Sebastian looked for Roy who was still on his way. He scrubbed lightly his right cheek, walked into the door away from the noise.
“Hey man, what’s taking you long? The party will gonna start pretty soon!” he reminded the young man in the other line.
Looking secretly behind, Roy answered in a sarcastic way but it was normal. Sebastian was absent–minded, waiting for Halora.
“Dude, are you even listening to me? Why is it too noisy out there, for sure, Halora will be mad at you!” His voice rose.
But Sebastian chuckled, crossed his feet, “It’s fine with her though, so what are you waiting for? Come here before you missed the friendly party tonight!”
He giggled, caressed his chin while Roy cursed him in return.. “Asshole, don’t start until I get there.” Roy told him and ended up the call.
However, the truth was–
“So, why didn’t you tell him that you called me to fetch you over instead of someone else?” spoke a young man with a cold, deep voice like Sebastian.
His emerald eyes twinkled in the dark as he drove the car in a neutral speed.
“I don’t want to disturb any of them but if you want, you can join us tonight, Markus.” he said, leaned over to the tented window. “But if you want to go home right away, it would be an insult to me.”
Roy looked at him but quickly withdrew it. Along the way to Halora’s house, a sudden problem occurred, parked the car along the road and called someone to pick it up.
In the middle of the busy, dark street, Roy called Markus instead of Sebastian. He knew he was fixing a misunderstanding with Halora and disturbing him wasn’t in his intention.
Fortunately, Markus was strolling around the area with his friends. As soon as he heard Roy’s voice, he hurriedly pulled over the car and drove fast to the street where he stood for half an hour.
Markus gasped, stared on the road while thinking.
“I don’t want to start a fight. His friends will be there too, if you only knew what happened many years ago.”
“I am not interested knowing it either.” Roy replied and chuckled that echoed inside the car.
He blinked his eyes twice, swallowed greedily when he felt thirsty all out of the sudden. And the truth was Roy lied to him, he kept everything even he knew what had happened between Markus and Sebastian.
Thinking what to say to Roy, Markus took a deep breath and secretly closed his fists holding, manipulating the steering wheel.
After some quite time, he never had the chance to clear out his name. People would always cheer for Sebastian even though he was not an innocent young man back then.
Because of the incident that bright, sunny day, they became mortal enemy and now that they both met Halora who captured their hearts, it complicated the intense gap between them.
After a long, deafening silence, Markus sighed heavily, parked the car from afar. Looking at Halora’s house filled with young men and loud music.
“Hope you guys enjoy the party tonight.” he said, grabbed his cellular phone from the dashboard.
There was one unread message that flashed out into the screen. He showed it off to Roy who waited for his decision, “My friends ask me to hang out tonight with them. So, I guess this is not an insult to you, right dude?”
Markus was confident that it was a good news, but upon reading the message, a wide smile on his lips shrouded by disappointment.
“What’s the matter? Did your friends changed the plan for tonight?”
“Most likely…,” replied Markus embarrassingly.
He shrugged off his shoulders, laid back and pressed one of the red button above the steering wheel.
Automatically, the roof of the car opened widely as he looked up above the bright, starry night. Exhausting as it was, he burst into a bitter laughter.
“I guess I have no choice but to come over with you. It wasn’t my friends who sent the message– it was my butler, looking for me.”
“Are you going home?”
Markus shook his head in despair. “I have everything, but I am not happy everytime I get back home. My parents are always busy working abroad, leaving me with thousands of dollars in my account.”
He sounded bitter but it was all true. Money, a beautiful mansion with no one inside except for the maids and butlers– he has everything he wanted but things didn’t happen according to his will.
“Come on, dude! Let’s talk about it inside, I’ll tell Sebastian so, there will be no problems anymore.”
Convincing a broken man wasn’t easy, like Markus who hated the world more than anyone else. His heart filled with hatred, vengeance and jealousy that brought him to the world of darkness.
Without a doubt and word, he jumped off from the driver’s seat into the opened roof. He then took a small, electronic device from his pocket, leaped into the ground and pressed it right away.
“I guess it’s time for us to forgive each other and set aside the past.”
Markus looked straight into his eyes. Listening to the loud sound of his heart, he gave Roy a quick, short smile.
From then, he followed Roy’s lead, walking into the main entrance that was left opened.
Before they entered inside, Markus was left dumbfounded seeing Sebastian from the second door. He was holding a bottle of soda when he met a cold, deep gaze.
He sighed, ran quickly into the main gate that surprised Roy who recognized the bad boy’s stance and silhouette.
“Hey, Sebastian! I just arrived at the moment–” he paused, widened his eyes when Sebastian grabbed Markus’s collar and threw the bottle away.
“Why are you here?” he asked him angrily.
But Markus remained silent and offended at the same time. “I said, why are you here?”
With all of his strength and courage, he looked at his blue, cold eyes and he replied, “I came here to talk to you, Sebastian. But if you don’t want to settle things between us, I am willing not to swallow my pride and just go home!”
It was straightforward that left Sebastian speechless and caught off guard.
