My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 194
Genuine laughter filled around the living area because of the young man’s funny jokes. In front of her parents, he managed to be as confident as ever, he spoke with honorable people, smiled widely as if there was no time left anymore.
“I like you for my daughter, young man.” spoke Gretta with a sweet smile on her face. “But don’t forget your promises because I will never forgive you if you’ll do something that will hurt my daughter’s feelings.”
As a mother, it was one of the fundamental things to consider. Seeing your daughter crying every night because someone abandoned her without reasons.
Before he uttered a word, Roy looked behind Gretta breathing heavily. He sighed, shook his head slightly while Zenith took some cookies in the kitchen. “I promise you, Madam that I will take care of your daughter until my last breath. I may not be the perfect man in the world, but I will do my best to be imperfectly perfect for her.”
It was said in a professional way that touched Gretta’s heart. Despite the fear and qualms, she took the risk, trusted Roy because she knew he would be her daughter’s favorite person aside from them.
George, who was seating next to Gretta took a deep sigh. He felt the same way too but fear of seeing his daughter in pain flaunted on his worried face. “One more thing, young man.” he began. “Have you ever wondered why she’s not a typical high school girl among the students in the school?”
Roy giggled bitterly and he replied, “I do wonder sometimes and if there’s something she need to keep from me, I will wait until she has the courage to confess.”
Gretta sighed in relief, turned her head to her husband who looked surprised and shocked by his statement. He was completely an open-minded young man that Zenith needed for a long time.
She then slowly reached for his warm hands, caressed it gently as she looked intently into his eyes. With no unwillingness, as tears shone on her eyes, Gretta said, “Trusting someone is one of the toughest thing in this life time, but if it is the only key to see Zenith smiling because of happiness, we are willing to trust and open the door for you, Roy.”
“And we are hoping that she will say yes after seeing and appreciating all of your hard work and efforts.” spoke George with sincerity in his eyes.
Luckily, Roy saw Zenith walking through their way. He quickly chuckled, pretended like nothing happened between him and her parents.
“Here we go! Cookies time!” Zenith exclaimed, put the bowl of cookies on the table.
She then glanced at Roy, tucked away a few strands of her hair nervously. “Aren’t you tired of telling lies to my parents?”
“Of course, I will never get tired!” he replied shortly.
“Really? Then why don’t you say goodbye to mom and dad because we need to go somewhere and help someone right now.”
Roy has no idea of what was going on. Until she took off her cellular phone from her pocket and showed it to him. “Ahh yes, I remembered it now!”
Last night, Sebastian asked some help regarding a big surprise for Halora. He has no idea how to do it that’s why he approached him instead of his friends who has different girlfriends in the whole school year.
“It’s my pleasure meeting you, Madam and Sir…,” he paused, stared at Gretta who seemed disappointed because he called her Madam once again. As quick as it is, he smiled bitterly at her, “I apologize for it, but I used to be this way every time I met people ahead of my age.”
“Call her mom and dad instead of Madam and Sir. It’s pretty awkward for them, Roy.” Zenith took a cookie from the bowl as she told him what to call her parents.
She then walked into the vacant seat in front of him. “Come on, make it fast! I don’t want to be late either.”
Zenith stooped closer to her mother and kissed her rosy cheeks. As she turned her head to the left, she hugged her father who was smiling sweetly the whole time.
He gasped, kissed her daughter’s forehead and whispered something to her ears, “Don’t say yes right away, do you understand? He’s quite handsome like me but don’t fall to that trap.”
Surprisingly, Zenith burst into laughter as she found it funny. George never failed to make her smile every time they spoke with each other about a certain thing in private. In front of Roy, she gave her father a tight embrace and stood right away.
She said, “We need to go by now, mom and dad. I’ll be late this time but don’t worry, we won’t do things like what’s in your mind at this moment.”
“That’s my girl!” George exclaimed.
But in the right side, Gretta covered her red cheeks as she knew what it was all about. She quickly pinched Zenith’s waist embarrassingly.
“Just get home before dinner, do you get me, young lady?”
“Aye, Captain!” Zenith saluted to her like a real soldier. “I’ll buy a new pair of shoes for you, mom! So please, just let me extend until ten in the evening.”
She looked like a little girl asking for permission and after a long procession, Gretta slightly shook her head and caught a glimpse of Roy who stood and smiled at George.
She scoffed, held tightly his hand and she said, “Send back my daughter on time, do you understand?”
“Yes, m-mom… I will make it sure that she’ll be right here on or before ten in the evening.” Roy bowed his head for a second. “She’ll be alright and unscathed, and I promise you that.” he murmured with no trace of hesitation on his face.
From then, Gretta and George accompanied them into the main entrance. They looked happy for their daughter as she met a kind and handsome young man who will take care and love her for the rest of his life.
“See you again, young man! Drive safely and don’t forget to fasten your seat belt!” Gretta told him until he went into the car with Zenith.

Inside of a fancy restaurant, Zenith, Roy and Sebastian gathered as one. Surrounded with couples, group of friends who enjoyed the cozy, warm ambience of the entire place. There were real plants in every corner that brought life and served as one of the centers of attraction.
They decided on how it could be as successful as what he imagined. And Sebastian wanted a grandiose surprise whether it cost thousands of dollars as long as it made Halora happy. After a long discussion, the three of them came into a final decision, a romantic and elegant kind of surprise.
“So, when and where do you want it to happen?” asked Zenith as she took a sip of alovera shake. She glanced up at Sebastian who looked tensed and excited as well, “How about tomorrow after the basketball practice in the gymnasium?”
“She’s right and it would be a romantic as ever, Sebastian. There will be no crowd for sure since we will surprise her after our practice.”
Roy gulped as he swallowed greedily the cup of green tea. He peeked around the costumers but quickly looked on the food in front of him.
A long silence echoed around while Sebastian agreed to their suggestions. He never did the same thing in the past but now, everything changed smoothly like it was the sky’s greatest plan for him.
He gasped, smiled shortly and he replied, “Alright, then what should we prepare since she hated wasting a large sum of money?”
Roy rubbed his chin gently, trying to recall what his best friend usually dreamed when they were still young and innocent.
Crossing his legs for a moment, Zenith scrolled down, looking for an organizer who could help them tomorrow in the afternoon. Until, Roy banged the table and chuckled afterwards, “I remembered it! If I am not mistaken, Halora has been dreaming a romantic surprise where a man brought her into a cozy place filled with tulips around it.”
His eyes glinted as he told Sebastian one of Halora’s greatest dream. “And one more thing, she likes butterflies ever since and if we could get at least few of it, then it would be better and a magical surprise!”
“Bingo! That would be the highlight of this event and before showing the butterflies to her, we need to cover her eyes first.”
A wide, candid smile flushed on her face that gave hope to Sebastian who seemed nervous. As everything was his first time, it was quite hard to come up with a best plan, but he knew, his friends would help him to make everything happen.
Before he answered, he slowly took the glass of water next to the can of soda. He savored the refreshing effect of it as flowed straight into his stomach. He said, “Let us make it happen! And tomorrow will be the best day of my life ever.”
