My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 221
“Breaking news!”
“The strange women who were all captured by the authorities a month ago has escaped last night. Even the head officer said that they didn’t hear any unusual sound from the women’s jail cells until one of the cops noticed that it was empty.”
“For more updates, stay tuned viewers!”
Halora was left dumbfounded when she heard the bad news. She was walking towards the highway when she saw a breaking news that caught her intention.
She gasped and looked at somewhere distant until a taxi stopped right in front her. “Good morning, Halora! Are you not hopping in?” asked the taxi driver.
“I’m sorry, b- but can you drop me in the police station?”
“Police station?” he confusingly asked that feared Halora. “Oh, what are you staring at? Get inside and I’ll drop you there for free!”
Fortunately, a good Samaritan stopped by and helped Halora wholeheartedly. As she hopped into the passenger’s seat, she fastened her seatbelt until the taxi driver drove slowly to her destination.
Halora was silently hoping that everything was already made up of the media to seek attention and high rates from the viewers. She was afraid that Damara might came back and seek for revenge.
She shook her head and get rid of the negative thoughts. She must remain calm and strong on how could she kill Damara who murdered her own sister, Herathesia.
“The ring of darkness!” she suddenly uttered that caught the old man’s attention.
He looked up at the mirror and he asked, “What’s wrong, young lady? You looked tensed and stressed, what’s bothering you at this hour?”
Halora must keep it confidential and secret from other people. She sighed, bowed her head and replied, “I… I was just h- hungry! That’s right, I skipped breakfast sometimes.”
It was a perfect alibi not until he took a deep breath and took a pack of biscuit and two apples from the vacant seat next to the driver’s seat.
He stopped the car for a second and gave everything to the hungry young lady who seemed in a hurry. He smiled at her, “Eat along our way, Halora. It’s not a good routine and you must not skip any meal. Do you get it?”
Embarrassingly, she received it as the truth was, she ate a lot of pancakes this morning. And it would be an insult to the old man who offered her a food.
She said in a hollow voice, “Thank you, Mister! You should have not given everything to me because I know I am not the only one who needs it.”
Halora couldn’t accept everything when she lent back the pack of biscuit and took only an apple. “An apple a day is fine with me.” she added that brought laughter to him.
Loud laughter filled inside of the taxi while he drove fast to the police station. The taxi driver was silently touched by Halora’s words of wisdom and kindness because he knew, only few has the same heart and beliefs.
After a couple of minutes, she saw the headquarters that was surrounded with reporters. She narrowed her eyes and doubted why they were a lot of media outside of the headquarters.
“Please stop right here! I don’t want to catch the reporter’s attention.” she told the old man who quickly parked the taxi from a distance, away from the reporters, away from any trouble and accusations.
“Thank you, Mister! I will pay you when I receive my allowance!”
“No problem, Halora and I am not obligating you to pay me. But you must take good care of yourself whenever you go, do you understand?”
Like a kind, good-hearted granddaughter, Halora bowed her head and went out from the taxi with a sweet, yet short smile on her face.
“I will.” she waved her hands as she watched him drove away from the station right away. “Huh, I must talk to the head officer!”
Eager to know the truth, Halora set aside her studies and carefully hid at the small coffee shop few steps away the station. But she realized that she looked like a beggar who leaned back to the filthy wall with a new, dashing white uniform.
She quickly walked into the shop’s entrance, pushed the door until she saw a lot of reporters and camera men who seemed like they were waiting for someone too.
“Oh, we have a new customer! What I can do for you, lovely girl?” One of the crew asked her but she couldn’t utter a single word.
Their presence was quite disturbing especially when a group of reporters turned their heads on her way. She said, “I… I’m sorry, but I… I entered the wrong’s coffee shop!”
But her biggest mistake was she got affected and intimidated by the way they looked at her face. Until one of them recognized her face and exclaimed, “Is she the high school girl who fought against the witches before?”
“What? You mean… Ha… Halora? Yes, her name is Halora!”
The reporter who recognized her face pointed and looked into her way that left Halora shocked and terrified.
He said, “She’s right there!”
But Halora shook her head in disbelief and feared to be featured once again. If that thing happened, her real identity and dark past would be exposed to all people in the world.
“CHASE HER! WE NEED TO GET HER STATEMENT!” The head reporter told the team and quickly chased the poor young lady.
She was running away from the cruel reporters who couldn’t understand the situation and they only cared about their own, selfish goals.
“Huh! Huh! I thought I can talk to the head officer but here I am, running for my safety!”
Halora ran towards the dark alleys that was covered by tall, breathtaking infrastructures yet, she heard loud voices from behind.
“Surrender now, young lady! We will never hurt you and look, there’s no other way out.” The tall, golden- brown hair man said.
He must be a camera man because of his composure and stance while the other fat, short man looked like a chaperon.
Frighteningly, Halora stepped back until she felt the cold wall from behind. She sighed, shook her head in distrust and remembered the real reason of her life and that was to kill the prison who has escaped.
“Forgive me, but I have to this!” she lifted her right arm, pointed to them and said, “Serpentis de momentum!”
Suddenly, a long, big wild cobra appeared in front of them and the truth was, Halora fooled the two men as it was only a real-like imitation of a venomous snake in the world.
