My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 225
In a confined, cold spacious room, Halora couldn’t stop from smiling widely and looked at somewhere distant.
She didn’t either believe that her greatest dream was finally granted by heaven and now that she has the privilege to finish her studies, there was nothing more she wanted to grasp.
“I know it is like a precious gem to you, but could you please stop grinning? It frightened me of, Halora!”
Jasmine threw deep stares on her and gnawed chocolate bar noisily. “I am warning you.”
Halora suddenly looked into her way and smiled over her shoulders. “I am just amazed and you know what, I can even choose top schools in the country!”
“And what? You’ll be piled with a lot of paper works until it drives you crazy!”
“Hmm, I don’t know but it makes me more motivated to pursue my dreams despite everything.”
Halora hasn’t touched her food since she went to the school cafeteria with her while Sebastian attended the school basketball team.
She sighed, held the spoon and scooped the corn soup absent-mindedly. “Huh, but I have something to tell you, Jas.”
But no one answered her even though she was just eating everything she bought.
“Come on! I am serious this time around and please, don’t be sad about the scholarship!” she took a deep breath and looked at her eyes. “I am not still sure about it.”
Her voice became like a soothing music to Jasmine’s ears until a sweet smile flashed into her lips.
She replied, “I am not still convinced”
“Come on! We don’t have much time!”
Jasmine glanced up at her brown eyes and she knew she was not lying at all. Eagerness filled inside that caught her attention.
She gulped, set aside the chocolate bars as she looked around the students who enjoyed their snacks.
“You looked serious! Is that an important thing, isn’t it?”
For a second, Halora shut her mouth as she waited for the perfect timing. She then stooped closer to her, “Damara and her adherents has escaped!”
“DAMARA… what?”
Jasmine forgot that she was still in the school premises. It happened too fast, fortunately, Halora covered her mouth in embarrassment.
“Shh, don’t ever utter her name in here!” she whispered into her ears. “Good thing that we aren’t popular in this school.” she added and covered her face with her long, ginger-red hair.
But it took some moment for Jasmine before it came into her mind. She never thought that it would happen in the future all over again.
Deeply as a dark well made up of stone, she gasped, turned her head down and felt vulnerable.
A terrifying memory came back when she remembered everything that happened that day, she was alone, with no one to embrace when strange women suddenly appeared in the campus.
She was excited to see her ultimate every morning but, on that morning, a traumatic experience changed her perceptions in a snap of the evil woman’s finger.
Anger drawn on her face, gritted her teeth in despair. She was hopelessly waiting for a savior, a knight shining in armor but it was true, it was only a fairytale.
A fairytale that would never happen in reality. “I… I can’t still forget that moment, Halora. I have no friends to protect me.”
“I am… I am sorry for bringing back the past! I know it was hard for you but I need your help! We must stop her before she became the strongest witch in the world!”
Halora told her all possible things to happen and if there was one place that contained thousands of information, it would be the library.
She let go of the spoon, held her back tightly. “We need to go to the library, now!”
“Let’s go! I must slap that bitch’s ugly face!” Jasmine angrily murmured.
At that moment, they have no choice but to walk fast as it should be. They have still time left before the bell rang too audibly annoying.
However, Roy saw the two of them from a distance with Zenith stood beside him. He was smiling genuinely and called their names.
“Halora!”
“Jasmine!”
He caught a glimpse of Zenith as they agreed and walked towards their way.
“Where are you going? It almost time to go back to our classroom!” he asked suspiciously.
Jasmine nudged Halora’s arm and smiled shortly. It was quite obvious but he didn’t ask anything.
She said, “Excuse us, Roy but we forget something in the library!”
“In a hurry, huh?”
Roy didn’t believe her alibi until Halora pouted her lips and she said, “I have to go, Roy! Have a nice day too, Zenith!”
They have no plenty of time. They must find the strongest spell against Damara.
“See you around, Halora! It must be an urgent matter.” said Zenith and waved her hands on them.
But deep inside, she knew what it was all about. Damara, the evil witch who cursed all strain of werewolves and the oldest beast who still alive was at stake.
She gulped, hoped that Halora accomplish her greatest mission and purpose.
“Kill her, Halora. That’s the only thing you can do to prove your innocence.” she thought and bowed her head in despair.
On the other side, Jasmine and Halora walked around the shelves and searched for the ancient books about witches and long-lasting spell and potions.
It took enough time and efforts until Halora noticed something odd at the shelves in the corner. She narrowed her eyes, walked closer and held her breath for a second.
It seemed familiar to her as it felt like she has seen the same book before. She couldn’t remember the first time she saw it but Halora has a strong feeling that she found the book.
“Huh, I hope this is the book we’ve been looking for.”
As fear flowed into her veins, her knees trembled as she stood before the shelves for a moment. It was not easy to bear but she must do it and try.
Fearlessly eager to save the world and the man she loved, Halora was willing to take a risk than live in regret the rest of her life.
“It’s now or never!” Halora whispered.
Finally, she picked an ancient brown, thick book. It looked exactly the same but she almost forgot where it was.
She stared at the cover until she said, “The secret, strongest spell of a chosen sorceress.”
The title was breathtakingly catchy and frightening, but she must conquer her fears and face the evil witch that killed her parents merciless.
Behind her, there was vacant seats as most students were in their classrooms. As her brows furrowed, she flipped it into the next page and saw someone’s penmanship.
Halora looked closely to it but it was written in strange form and used different language.
“What is the meaning of this letters?” she mumbled until Jasmine ran towards her with a book on her hand.
She said excitingly, “I’ve found something too, Halora!”
“Look into this strange letters and symbols. It is quite unusual that someone written in this page!”
Confusingly, Jasmine did what Halora told her an she was true, the letters was difficult to read but she quickly thought of something wit and convenient.
“Should I search for its meaning?” she asked Halora who couldn’t get rid of sight of it.
She slightly nodded her head, silently seated on one of the seats and read the next pages.
While she gathered for more information, Jasmine looked for the letters’ meaning through her cellular phone. It was the fastest way to know how to read it.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t find anything on the internet. It seemed like it was valuable letters that needed to be hidden from anyone in the world.
“This is strange! I didn’t find anything related to these letters.”
“What? Why? It should be posted here!”
Halora took her phone from her hands and scrolled down to look for related articles about the unknown symbols. She put the book wide open into the table and took a deep breath.
She shook her head in despair as she knew, those letters have an important meaning. If it was merely meaningless symbols, then it should be written in an ordinary, modern form.
Abruptly, she remembered that there was an old diary inside of the sacred box that was left by her parents.
She didn’t have the chance to read every page when she fell asleep in the living area that night.
“I… I must borrow this book, Jas! I must to be sure before we proceed to our next plan.”
“But I think we can’t.” Jasmine glanced up at the short, friendly reminder to all students in front of them. “Look, there’s an important notice.”
Surprised and confused, Halora gave her back the cellular phone and looked into it. She sighed, hit her sweaty forehead hopelessly.
“Reminders to all students, because of an increasing number of lost books, we temporarily prohibited everyone from borrowing books this week.”
Halora caught a glimpse of the book when she suddenly felt weak and dizzy. “I can’t wait any longer! I must read everything written in this book.”
And the moment she closed it, a cold, howling wind blew them up as it slid down to the ground from her wet hand.
