My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 233
Kairos knew the final battle was yet to come. He would always keep his promises to his older brother, Eric the night before he died.
He sighed, looked at Halora for a couple of minutes. He wanted to wrap her around his arms but he was afraid that she might misunderstood his actions.
“I should go by now! It’s getting darker and your friend is coming towards us.” spoke Kairos after a long silence.
“You’re right. Use the other door and we will distract Jasmine for a while.”
Right then, Halora took a deep breath and went off from the car. From a distance, she saw Jasmine who was savoring her favorite cappuccino.
“Hey, you brought a lot huh!” she said while Kairos snuck out carefully.
“Of course! That was completely a blast, am I right?”
Jasmine was referring to the epic, dramatic scenes that has taken place earlier. She wanted to burst into laughter but she was too lazy to do so.
“Wait, where is Markus?” she asked confusingly.
Halora smiled bitterly and tried to catch her breath. She shrugged off her shoulders when she felt his presence behind her back.
“Hey, Jas! Just look for my key inside of my car. I thought I misplaced it all over again.”
“Alright, so are you going to send us home? The party will be starting three hours from now.”
Markus shook his head, twirled around the key on his index finger. He said, “Yes, and I will fetch the two of you after I change my clothes.”
Jasmine jumped high like a little child who seemed happy because her wish was granted. A wide smile flaunted on her face as her perfect teeth sparkled like a diamond.
“Wow! I can’t believe a friend is doing a real boyfriend’s duties. I wonder where is your boyfriend right now, Halora?”
Halora looked at her and smiled shortly. It was not a big deal and she trusted Sebastian more than anyone around.
She looked at her sarcastically as she said, “He’s busy and I can’t dictate him what should and must he do for me. He’s a grown-up man, Jas and I trust him.”
Suddenly, Markus cleared his throat that caught both of their attention. It was a serious conversation and he couldn’t afford to hear those wonderful things about Sebastian.
He could see the genuine love through Halora’s eyes and he regretted for being late in her life.
“Let’s go, girls! I know it will take a decade for to prepare for the party.”
Markus reminded Halora and Jasmine as they quickly walked towards the black car right in front of them.
Jasmine giggled embarrassingly and looked at Halora with guilt in her eyes. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it.”
“It’s fine for me, but be careful next time. You don’t know how much it means to others.” Halora reminded her as a good friend.
She always kept in mind that being kind and humble to other people was the only thing she could offer without expecting something in return.
“Fasten your seatbelt, it’s pretty necessary.” Markus looked at Halora through the mirror.
It was a cold reminder because of his voice and actions but Jasmine widened her eyes and poked Halora’s waist.
“Oh my gosh, can you fasten it now? It’s getting to my nerves like… yuck! Too disgusting for me.”
Jasmine has never been in love that’s the reason why she found it awkward and disgusting. She sipped the cappuccino, leaned her back and rested for a moment.
While Halora held the sealed cup of cappuccino and thought about Sebastian. She didn’t what to think because she hated to judge someone without hearing their side.
“Huh, he must be with Roy.” she thought as she comforted her own self.
Slowly, she turned head to the window and looked at the students who were walking around the sidewalk.
She wanted to talk with him but she didn’t know where to find him. Out of the blue, a sweet, intense memories came flashed back into her mind.
His soft and sweet lips blew up her system. It was one of the beautiful things that happened in her life and if someone would ask her if she regretted to be the campus bad boy’s girlfriend, she will never be.
As she took a deep, long breath, she touched her lips, reminiscing how he touch her arms and wrap her around his warm body.
It was a calming feeling that will forever stay in her heart. Whatever happened, he will be always in her mind and heart.
“I am happy to finally met my first love and being his girlfriend is a dream come true for me.” She whispered into the cold air that embraced her vulnerable soul.
Little did she knew; Markus was watching her through her reflection. He knew it was wrong to be involved into a couple’s lives but he can’t resist Halora.
He tried to look at other girls’ eyes but he couldn’t find the same warmth and tenderness that he had seen for the first time he met Halora that cold, velvet night.
“How I wish she won’t be hurt in the end.” he murmured and thought of the possibilities because of Sebastian’s biggest secret.
Markus knew about his biggest problem and loving Halora deeply would only bring him to the brink of death. And if that thing happened, he would have the chance to get into her life once his greatest rival vanished on Earth like ashes.
“If loving you secretly will makes you happy, I am willing to live in pain and watch you smiling with him from afar.”
His voice cracked and became too husky. If he truly loved Halora, he would be willing to give her up to the man she loved. Whether he like it or not, he couldn’t force someone to love him back the way he loved her.
“I’ll do everything for you, Halora. And if the only solution to all of these things is death… I am willing to sacrifice myself for own sake.”
He murmured until tears flowed into his cheeks and no one knew about it.
