My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 234
Markus dropped the girls at Jasmine’s breathtaking house. It looked like a luxury five-star hotel filled with expensive chandeliers and statues.
Jasmine invited her to come inside and have a cup of tea but he refused because he has something to do as well.
Nonetheless, the two of them thanked him and waited until his car vanished from their sight.
She gasped and she said, “Markus is quite handsome and kind too. I wonder if he has a girlfriend or someone, he like the most.”
Halora listened to her silently but she didn’t speak anything. She was merely amazed by the beautiful house in front of her eyes.
“This way, Halora. Don’t worry, Mom and Dad won’t bite you.”
“I… I just can’t believe that you have the same house with Sebastian and Zenith!”
Halora smiled widely as she was attracted to the rare, extraordinary flowers she has seen around. She used to plant flowering plants but since she was graduating, she has no time for it anymore.
“And these flowers, who planted all of them?”
Mischievously, Jasmine shrugged off her shoulders and placed her palm at the door. “Of course, my mom! She loves every single of those flowers and if you want something, just ask her later. Do you understand?”
In awe, Halora walked behind her and realized that the door suddenly opened without any key or something. Little did she knew, the key to open the door was through the household members’ palms.
It was quite unusual but it was one of the secured ways and most expensive than a normal door with keys.
“Wow! I’ve never seen these wonderful paintings too!”
“Suit yourself and feels at home, Halora. It’s a huge house but I don’t like staying here the whole time alone.”
Jasmine put her things at the couch until one of the housemaids appeared and bowed her head. She greeted the young girl but Jasmine didn’t say anything in return.
Halora clasped her hands and smiled bitterly at the ignored maid. She said, “Good afternoon! How long have you been working here?”
The maid suddenly lifted her head and laid her eyes on Halora. She smiled sweetly at her, took Jasmine’s bag as she replied shortly. “11 years and counting.”
“You’re beautiful and kind inside and out, Young Lady. What is your name, by the way?”
It was an overwhelming feeling that comforted her soul. “Halora, and I’ll take that as a compliment.”
The maid giggled playfully when she remembered her daughter- a wild, hard-headed daughter. How she wished that she was the same like Halora.
A good impression would lasts depending into someone’s action and when she first saw Halora, she knew she was a good, humble daughter that she never had.
“I hoped my daughter listened to me.”
In a weary and regretful voice, the maid murmured and sat in front of Halora.
“She never do all of the things that will bring her closer to success and I don’t want her to suffer like what I’ve become right now.”
Halora reached for her hands and felt sorry for her. She was not either in the right place to say something vicious to the maid’s daughter since she never met her before.
But the only thing she could do is to keep the faith and fire burning inside of her soul.
She said, “You don’t have to blame yourself and instead of losing hopes, please don’t be tired of reminding your daughter that having a good heart will lead and guide her to the right path.”
“Your parents must be proud to have you, Halora.”
She smiled bitterly and she replied in a hollow voice, “They’re gone, a long time ago.”
The maid felt sorry and sad for her. Halora was such a blessing for a mother like her and the moment she knew that she was an orphan, her heart skipped a beat.
However, when she was about to embrace her, Jasmine suddenly came out from her room wearing a simple, yet glamorous white dress.
“Hey, what are you doing? I told you to prepare a cup of tea for us, am I right?”
The maid suddenly bowed her heard and felt frightened of by Jasmine’s presence.
She quickly moved and said, “I’m sorry Madam, it’s my fault.”
“No! No, it’s not her fault at all! I… I was the one who asked her that’s why she has to answer my question.”
To the rescue, Halora quickly cleared the maid’s name. She didn’t want to remain silent while other people dishonored a woman’s dignity because of false accusations.
Abruptly, Jasmine rolled her eyes on the maid that hurriedly walked out and went upstairs to put her bag to her room.
“Huh! I don’t know, but seeing that woman makes me feel sick and ruins my day!”
“Why? Isn’t she a good maid to your family?”
Halora asked her that caught Jasmine’s attention. It was a simple question but for her, it was an insulting truth that annoyed her.
“Let’s not talk about her, Halora! We have something to do and that maid will just give us bad vibes.” said Jasmine that confused Halora about her attitude.
She acted differently towards other people but dishonored the woman who took care of her for a long time.
Instead of telling her what to do, she took a deep breath and waited for a perfect timing. Halora never wished to have a misunderstanding with her only friend.
But she felt sorry to the maid who was insulted in front of her. For a second, she sighed deeply as she slightly shook her head.
She replied, “You’re right. But we’re are we going now?”
“We’re going to buy new dress for tonight’s party. I tried to look for the two of us in my closet but all of my dresses are too ugly and out of style.”
“B- but I don’t have much money with me, Jas! The school haven’t sent to me this month’s allowance.” Halora told her embarrassingly.
She didn’t want to cause a burden to other people and so, Halora smiled bitterly at her and murmured, “I’m sorry, Jasmine but I don’t want to cause any trouble with you and I don’t want you to think that I’m only taking you for granted!”
Jasmine suddenly turned her head and laid her eyes on her. She didn’t know it coming as it flattered her heart and touched her not-so-good soul and intentions.
“Should I have to wear a mask in front of Halora to have a faithful friend?” she thought that made her emotional for being a fake friend.
