My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 239
One of the event organizers escorted Jasmine to the table reserved for her and Halora. It was located in front of the debutant who was waiting for Halora.
“If you need something, please don’t hesitate to call our crew’s attention.” said the lovely woman to Jasmine.
She smiled sweetly, shook her head and she replied, “Thank you.”
However, the organizer suddenly turned her head behind when all of the guests looked into the main entrance with no reason. The party was about to begin when the long most awaiting guest has arrived.
Maxine stood from the chair, held her breath back until the speaker made an overwhelming and awe-inspiring introduction.
He said, “Before I proceed to the real event, let us welcome this extraordinary couple who looked perfectly together!”
However, someone quickly gave their names to the speaker who quickly announced it that completely shocked everyone.
“According to my source, Halora is wearing a stunning, glamorous white dress that perfectly suited to her body, and her boyfriend, Markus is wearing a limited edition of Gabrielle’s collection that was released yesterday.”
“This power couple is making a history and I can’t wait to have some chit chat with you too later.”
Behind those sweet smiles, Maxine closed her fists when Halora took away the spotlight from her. It was supposed to be her grand introduction, but she arrived and ruined the first stage of her plans.
She gritted her teeth, looked at her friends who seemed amazed and inspired by Halora’s jaw-dropping makeover and transformation.
“Ugh, I hate it! How dare she ruins my big night!”
Hatred drawn on her face while Halora walked gracefully on the aisle with Markus. She never thought he would be Halora’s escort and companion instead of Sebastian.
But she has another plan that would completely break the lover’s trust for each other. If she couldn’t have him in a nice, legal way, then she has no choice but to walk into the middle of Halora and Sebastian’s relationship.
“Enjoy the temporary spotlight, Halora. Sooner or later, you’ll see yourself in front of me, begging to let go of your beloved boyfriend.”
Maxine cheered herself until the guests clapped their hands and never looked away from Halora. They murmured, talked about the young girl who suddenly turned into a princess after hiding somewhere.
“Goodness, she looks like a living doll!”
“You’re right! And I can say that she’s way beautiful than the debutant!” said the young girl who looked like a nerd because of her thick eyeglasses and simple outfit.
Her friend beside her hit her arms when she noticed that Maxine heard their voices.
She said, “She’s looking at our way right now and if you want to stay, shut your mouth up and we will talk about it later.”
Maxine rolled her eyes on her, flipped her hair confidently and laughed bitterly. “Who the hell invited this group of bitches and placed it in front of me?”
There was no time left to kick them out that made her more furious than ever. She has to remain calm and unbothered or Halora would take home the crown, the man she loved and everything she dreamed for.
As quick as it is, Maxine told the speaker to give the spotlight to her. It is the right time to flip the table upside down and claim the position she deserved.
The speaker wanted to give all attention to Halora but he has no other choice but obey the debutant’s order or he would end up with nothing.
Deeply, he took a breath, cleared his throat and waited for a few seconds before he started the entire event.
“And tonight, let us give a round of applause to the gorgeous birthday girl, Maxine!”
Halora sat next to Markus while Jasmine occupied the empty seat beside her. She breathed deeply when the breathtaking was over still, there were guests who wanted to take pictures with her.
Markus covered Halora as he made sure that no one would hurt nor lay their fingers on her.
He said, “I’m sorry, but Halora is a little bit tired. Can you wait for a moment until she gained back her strength?”
The group of girls who badly wanted to take pictures with Halora grudged her for having such a protective boyfriend.
They said, “How we wish we have such sweet and caring boyfriend.”
“Correction… he’s not her boyfriend so please, stop making fake news. Do you understand?”
Jasmine was just trying to protect Halora from other people’s sharp judgements. When they found out that Markus was only her friend, it would cause a big scandal and misunderstanding between the real couple.
She exhausting pulled the chair closer to Halora, reached for her hands and rubbed it gently as they didn’t notice that Maxine was walking slowly on the aisle.
Flaunting her perfect body, and an astonishing red dress filled with diamonds and emeralds that transformed her into a real-life queen.
A crown that rested on her head is made up of pure stones and golds that could be sell in exchange of three million dollars.
“Hmm, the crown nailed it not the impostor who’s acting like a queen herself.” Jasmine furrowed her eyebrows, reached for the glass of champagne and sipped it that soothe her soul.
“Try the champagne, Halora. It will take away the fear and worries inside of your chest.” she murmured that caught Halora’s interest.
With a trace of doubt on her face, Halora anxiously took the glass before her. Her hands were shaking continuously until Markus took it for her.
He said, “She’s right, it will somehow help you to be confident enough. But don’t drink three to four glasses of it, do you get me?”
“Aye, Captain!” Halora said giggling that took away the qualms in his chest.
While Maxine walked with grace, calm composure and confidence with a beautiful, red gown and an affluent crown like an empress.
But beneath a sweet, kind smile on her face, there was an evil soul that planned to take revenge on the girl who stole her first love.
