My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 241
Halora secretly pinched Jasmine’s thigh when she continued laughing loudly. She knew it was an embarrassing situation for him and she knew how it felt like.
Widening her brown, round eyes, she told her to stop as soon as possible.
On behalf of her sassy friend, Halora bowed her head and looked at him with sympathy.
She gasped, smiled at him shortly and she said, “I’m sorry, Mister but my friend always makes things funny. I hope you will understand her hilarious actions.”
The speaker was amazed by her kind, humble deeds that rarely happened this time of overrated world. He stepped forward, took his phone and stared at Halora’s face.
He said, “C- can I have some pictures with you? I just want my friends to see a stunning and kind girl like you!”
Jasmine quickly stopped eating, wiped off her mouth and stood excitingly like she was the one he’s referring to.
“Where are you going? He said he want a picture with Halora, not Jasmine.”
Markus mocked her that effortlessly annoyed the young, high-spirited girl. Fortunately, he successfully convinced Jasmine as she sat down and crossed her arms murmuring words alone.
At the moment, Halora shook her head while the speaker walked closer to her way. He seemed thrilled because of Halora’s strong, ensnaring charisma and presence.
“Please join us.” said the speaker softly.
Jasmine has no choice but to take pictures against her will. She rolled her eyes, reached for his phone and took stolen shots.
She breathed annoyingly, but she took a perfect angle when Halora smiled and showed her perfect teeth.
“If she’s not her friend, I will never do this thing!” she thought.
“Here we go!” she spoke gently and gave the cellular phone to the speaker. “Next time, you need to pay 100 dollars every shot.”
She flipped her hair, sat down to her seat and chug the glass of champagne effortlessly that caught Halora’s courtesy.
“I’m sorry for that, but she’s showing off her true colors. I am hoping you never judged my friend because of her actions tonight.”
The speaker smiled shortly and wagged his hands like a donkey’s tail. He said that everything was fine and he knew girls nowadays seemed more aggressive than before.
He said, “No, it’s fine with me. I just want to say thank you for your time and my sincere apologies for disturbing the three of you.”
“It’s our pleasure.” Markus said smiling widely.
“Enjoy your meal and have some fun tonight!” he told them as he vanished quickly like a stranger’s shadow.
If there was one person who enjoyed him leaving, it would be Jasmine who loved to annoy people around her without valid reason.
She gasped, called one of the crews and filled the empty glass with cold, soothing champagne.
“Thank you!” she murmured and waved her hands on him.
On the other side, Halora looked at the food before her eyes. She didn’t know what had happened but she lost her appetite when she saw Maxine smiling from a distance.
“Huh, why I am feeling this way? I should be adoring this night.”
Silently, she whispered until Markus poked her shoulders when he noticed that she seemed uncomfortable.
He pulled closer the chair and he whispered, “What’s bothering you, Halora? You looked anxious.”
Halora exhaustingly turned her head to the right, smiled shortly thus, it didn’t change a single thing.
“If you want to go home, I will drop you by after this.”
“No! You don’t have to do that anymore! It’s just like I am feeling this strange thing inside of my chest since I met Maxine’s deep gaze!”
Markus sighed deeply, “Perhaps you’re not comfortable being around with a lot of people.”
“Maybe you’re right, but.” Halora stopped for a moment when she realized that it was not a big thing to deal with.
It was one of beautiful places she has ever been and it would be a waste if she would choose to ruin it because of an odd feeling.
Halora reached for the cold water and drank half of it that calmed her system. She didn’t know exactly why, but through Maxine’s eyes, she knew she prepared a bitter sweet revenge against her.
“Oh, your rival is coming towards us once again!”
Jasmine broke the long silence and she was right, Maxine was walking to their table while waving her hands to the guests around.
For a second, Halora took a breath, squeezed her wet, sweaty hands and swallowed greedily like a thirsty vampire.
She didn’t know what to say but under the circular table, she felt a warm touch that took away the fear.
“Hi ladies and gentleman, how’s the party?”
Maxine did a perfect introduction that concealed her true colors. She was smiling widely, but beneath it, there was an envious soul that changed her beliefs and principles.
Jasmine crossed her legs, glanced up at the girls behind Maxine and giggled sarcastically.
“I never knew that you have chaperons with you, Maxine. Well, I thought they were the celebrant and not even you because of your simple dress!”
“Stop it, Jasmine!” Halora told her but the sassy girl didn’t bother it anyway.
She raised her brow confidently, crossed her arms and looked plainly at them.
Maxine laughed bitterly, furrowed her brows that turned the tension fierier and scorching. No one wanted to lose the game and for her, Jasmine is nothing but a low-class sassy girl.
“You are not supposed to be right here tonight, young lady. Without Halora, I will never invite a cheap girl like you!”
Halora quickly stood and stopped both parties before it became as worst as ever in the history. She tried to catch her breath, looked at Maxine as she opened her mouth widely.
“On behalf of my friend, please don’t take it as a big deal. We both knew Jasmine is showing her true colors in front all of us!”
What she said was true that made the other party speechless. “And it’s our pleasure to be here at this moment, but if you don’t accept my apology, we are willing to leave if you say so.”
Halora completely nailed the party because of her words of wisdom that left the guests who heard her stunned by her grace, intelligence and calm face.
