My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 258
From distance, Halora couldn’t resist Sebastian’s alluring charisma. She has been avoiding him for two consecutive days, yet she missed him so bad.
Her round, brown eyes twinkled not because of tears of joy but because of guilt. She only wanted to be happy with someone- with him, but she realized that the world was against of them.
And from the spot where she peeked at him, her heart didn’t stop beating too fast.
It felt like it was the very first time she caught a glimpse of him and solely touched her soul.
Her knees trembled upon when Robbe’s voice echoed around the entire field. The ground was surrounded with grasses as it was the best place for soccer players.
She gulped, hoping that she could help Sebastian and bring him away from any trouble. Halora wanted to be honest with her boyfriend, but the people around her told her that staying away from a werewolf was the best way to survive.
“S-Sebastian!”
Halora lost control, but Markus stood behind her and quickly lifted her up from falling.
He knew what it felt like being away from someone you love, but if it was for the best, then he would choose the most heartbreaking direction.
“I… I missed him so much, l-like I want to run closer to him and wrap my arms forever!” said Halora.
But Kairos won’t let her go and be with Sebastian for now. Staying close to the alpha would be dangerous for both of them.
Kairos who disguised himself as one of the teachers touched her shoulder and he said, “Control your emotions, Halora. You can no longer feel his touch if Damara succeed of killing you!”
“B-but Kairos!”
“I said no!” Kairos yelled at her that shocked Markus and Halora.
He looked into her eyes, catching his breath for seconds. “I’m sorry, I… I was carried away!”
Markus sighed heavily, glancing at him calmly. “I understand, but don’t try to scare her again, Kairos.”
“No! It’s completely fine, Markus! Kairos is right, I must control my emotions.”
But deep within her defenseless heart, she was longing for her imperfect perfect match’s touch.
Her life turned dull, boring as it was like before. Thus, to save him from death, she chose to fool Sebastian around through lies and painful actions.
Halora didn’t know that a warm fluid fell from her eyes. She was hurt, enduring the pain she chose.
After all, it was the sake for the people that matters to her the most.
“Let’s go, Kairos… Markus.” said Halora and broke the deafening silence that embraced the three of them.
Markus glanced at Sebastian for the last time. He didn’t mean to steal Halora from him, instead, he was only protecting her from the unknown enemies.
“Forgive me, Sebastian. We have to do this according to the Queen’s order.” he whispered until he turned around and followed Halora back to the classroom.
Along the way, Markus held his breath until they reached the department. Students scattered throughout while they have still time.
Most of them played with different games while others talked with their friends. On the opposite side, most of the couple students consumed time with each other.
“How ironic it is?” Halora chuckled bitterly.
No one answered her. Kairos stopped at the moment, took a deep breath before he bid goodbye.
He said, “I have to leave now, Markus, Halora!”
Markus narrowed his eyes, “But you said you’re going to stay with us until tomorrow morning, am I right?”
Kairos shook his head, looking at his emerald eyes. It was dangerous to stay with Halora without any spy around the campus.
He must convince plenty of volunteers who were all willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of their existence.
“I must gather more allies, Markus. To protect and defend Halora until the very end.”
Kairos probably seemed like a suspicious person who suddenly appeared, but his blood that flowed into Halora’s veins recognized each other’s connection.
She knew he would never betray her and the entire world.
Halora looked at his eyes with disappointments. She gased for more air, squeezing her wet, sweaty hands.
She said, “I don’t know what to believe anymore, but if you will betray me Kairos, I will never blame you for choosing that path.”
“But don’t forget the promises you’ve made with my father.” she added that simply surprised Kairos.
He never thought that even the smallest details of his memory could be read by the chosen one.
As deep as the blue sea, he sighed, staring at her perfect face.
Kairos was quite mesmerized by Halora’s beauty as it looked truly the same as her mother. If Eric didn’t approach Hersthesia that every moment, he would have convince her to watch the fascinating, bright moon that night.
However, it was too late to regret as everything happened for some reason. He must leave as soon as possible before the entire school disclosed the truth.
“Forgive me, but I don’t have any intention of betraying you. For all my life, I’ve been living in darkness, waiting for a shade of light that will give me hope.”
“And that strange morning, I’ve realized that my whole body shone like a diamond because of the bright, warm sunlight.”
Markus and Halora listened to him carefully like they were only the people inside of the campus.
They felt like the students around had stopped from moving, talking and laughing out loud.
It seemed strange when he turned his head to the right side where a lot of students were gathered.
At first he could clearly hear Kairos’ voice but the longer he spoke, the more it was difficult to understand it all.
Markus’ ears were ringing as if an annoying noise almost made him deaf. Eagerly, he covered his ears with his bare hands, sweating profusely like labor man.
“Stop! Please, stop talking!” he murmured.
And the moment he opened his eyes, Markus saw how the thunderstorm strike into the ground.
“It’s unforeseen assault!” he whispered as it was too late to warn the students around.
